So you ask, what order do they play in now? If you go to the command prompt or cmd and type Dir, this is the order it is playing in

Jul 30, 2012Title says it all while listening to music the volume constantly swings in and out. This is a commin problem among the hp laptops with beats audio. I have the most updated audio driver out at the moment. Ive tried what they have posted and for some i dont have the options for. Nov 1, 2011recently got a new laptop a Lenovo Y570. I moved my entire audio collection from my old laptop over and attempted to play songs in iTunes it repeatedly on the majority of songs skips to the next track at a random point throughout the song.this is not the 20 second preview setting in iTunes as it has skipped the same song at 5 seconds or 45 or even 2 mins in. I then tried the songs in Windows Media Player Classic same thing, and again in Windows Media Player 12. However from a few tests QuickTime seems to play songs fine.I updated the Renesas audio driver and tried the CCCP codec pack, then removed it and installed the basic K-Lite codec pack which seems to have fixed the problem for windows media player 12 but the others still dont work. *update tried more songs in WMP12 and it skips some songs midway thru as well.

Dec 8, 2012This is a brand new machine with a brand new install of Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit SP1. I'm having a problem with the inheritable permissions. In the Advanced Security Settings for one of my games, I'm trying to Include Inheritable Permissions From This Objects Parent. The check box has a check in it and it is grayed out but under Inherited From, is shows <not inherited>.
I click on Change Permissions, the Include Inheritable Permissions isn't grayed out and has a check in the box but when I click on Apply, it doesn't change the inheritable permissions. It's probably something I'm not savvy enough to catch but I think I'm at the limit of my knowledge with this. It shows me as Owner with all permissions but still having a problem getting it to start without a pop up asking if I want to let it run.

Sleep Setting That Can Include A Screen Saver?
Jun 21, 2012Windows 7 Home Premium: I want my PC to sleep after 20 minutes, so I can leave it on all night and come back in the morning and start using it right away. ( I have a password, so no one could steal it or anything, and start using it )
I have a screen saver setup to come on after 5 minutes, and sleep mode after 20.
I have it on a APC UPS set with their software, to silent, so if the power goes out overnight ( very rare and usually short ) it won't beep and wake me up. Besides, if it's asleep, it could literally go for days without power line power.
My problem is not remembering sometimes, because I come in half asleep when I wake up, and see a black screen, then reach over and hit the UPS button, not realizing I'm turning it OFF instead of ON!
But is there a way to set Windows up so that it DOES go to sleep after 20 minutes, but some kind of minimal screen saver keeps going on the screen, so I KNOW it's in sleep mode and not off?
I use the Mystify screen saver anyway, which is pretty minimal, so if that could be kept on while the Hard Drive and everything else that uses power and ages the electronics sleeps, that would be great.
Photo Screensaver Doesn't Include Sub-directories
Sep 28, 2009For some reason, I cannot get the photo screen saver to include sub directories. I select either my pictures folder, or my pictures library, and in both cases, it only seems to poll those pictures in the root of pictures, as well as sample pictures.. None of the other folders in the pictures folder get polled... Any suggestions?
Also.. for some reason, the screen saver does not start when it should. I can preview it from the screen saver configuration screen, but it doesn't start on it's own after the allotted time....

Dec 20, 2010I decided to come here because everyone here is far more helpful then over on the microsoft site. My first question is I am modding my sims 2 game. I use to be able to copy the file into my downloads folder no problem. I did an update a few days ago and now all of a sudden as I am copying them I get file destination name is to long for the folder. I have renamed them and it helps but it sucks doing it when I never had the problem before.Next question I asked on the microsoft forums over a week ago and no answer. My media player has doubles of each album. It really sucks when I am listening to my media player and have to listen to the album twice. I tried taking them out resetting it and at first it only put the first one and then sure enough it redoubled them. I don't know if it is because I have itunes. How can I fix this please? Is it because of itunes? Is it something I just have to live with and choose to use itunes or media player and not have both?
