Nov 2, 2011I've got all my music in an external drive. When i configured bakups i selected that same external drive as destination to back up to.
Now, i added the music from that drive to windows media player and now, when the computer backs up, i've got this error telling me some files were omitted (namely all the music) because they're on the same drive as the backup's destination.
I'm going to use WMP because it's already there (regardless of there being a million better choices of media players/managers) so don't bother suggesting otherwise.
My question is: is there any special folder i should avoid backing up so this error doesn't happen? (like the one that contains WMP database)

When i click "install now" button after booting from the DVD-Rom. I get an error at times stating that i need DVD/CD-Rom Device Drivers and it does not detect the harddrive. However if i wait a little while before clicking the "Install Now" button, i pass on to Licence Agreement page.
From there i get a choice to Upgrade or Custom Install. If i chose upgrade it gives compatibility issue report as i do not have any OS running on the Drive i wan to Install Windows 7 on.
When i chose Custom i get to choose a partition. I chose the Primary Drive C partition as this 120GB hdd has no windows installed (my regular 500GB HDD that has winxp and vista64 is physically disconnected through this process). The Partition 1 has 29.8GB free when formated. I start the installation on that
The first Step "Copying Windows Files" takes few seconds and reaches 100% without error
The Second Step "Expanding Windows Files" stays on 0% for around 5 to 10 minutes and returns an error:
"Windows Cannot Install Required Files. Make Sure all files required for Installation are available, and restart the installation."
After I click 'OK', it says on the Screen "The installation was cancelled. Any changes that were made to your computer during the installation process will not be saved."
I do not understand if this is my hardware related issue or do i have a bad DVD. My DVD seems to be loading up fine and files do copy around from it. The ISO i copied this from seems to be ok. Could someone explain why am I facing this error and how can I solve it?

Jun 28, 2011i recently got a computer from my aunt, and decided to put windows 7 on it. Before I installed it, I put in a Geforce 8800 graphics card and a (2nd) cd rom drive. After 20 failed attempts to install windows 7 (it kept freezing at the completing installation part) it worked after i disconnected the new graphics card and one of the hard drives. Songs Skipping To Next Track Partial Way Through ITunes/WMPC?
Nov 1, 2011recently got a new laptop a Lenovo Y570. I moved my entire audio collection from my old laptop over and attempted to play songs in iTunes it repeatedly on the majority of songs skips to the next track at a random point throughout the song.this is not the 20 second preview setting in iTunes as it has skipped the same song at 5 seconds or 45 or even 2 mins in. I then tried the songs in Windows Media Player Classic same thing, and again in Windows Media Player 12. However from a few tests QuickTime seems to play songs fine.I updated the Renesas audio driver and tried the CCCP codec pack, then removed it and installed the basic K-Lite codec pack which seems to have fixed the problem for windows media player 12 but the others still dont work. *update tried more songs in WMP12 and it skips some songs midway thru as well.

I use to be able to copy the file into my downloads folder no problem. I did an update a few days ago and now all of a sudden as I am copying them I get file destination name is to long for the folder. I have renamed them and it helps but it sucks doing it when I never had the problem before.Next question I asked on the microsoft forums over a week ago and no answer. My media player has doubles of each album. It really sucks when I am listening to my media player and have to listen to the album twice. I tried taking them out resetting it and at first it only put the first one and then sure enough it redoubled them. I don't know if it is because I have itunes. How can I fix this please?
