So today i installed the drivers for my razer deathaddder mouse on my laptop. The installation went fine, but the problem is it seems to have taken over or just messed up the configuration for my touchpad. After installing, the touchpad moved really slowly even though i hadn't changed any settings, and the acceleration had turned off.I decided to uninstall the drivers to reverse the problem, but it didn't change. I then uninstalled and reinstalled the touchpad drivers (latest synaptics drivers, same ones i had installed before), but this didn't solve anything either. I've tried fiddling around with the mouse settings but everything is configured the way it was before, it's just not the same.I want my touchpad to go back to the way it was. Is there any way to get all the mouse settings back to the way they were when i installed windows or something like that?
HP G60 laptop, after the unit has been on for 10min or more it has a random issue with the display going blank. If you move the mouse the display comes back as long as the mouse is moving. Stop moving the mouse the display goes blank. Sometimes if you let it sit awile it will start working again. It is now so bad the computer is not useable. It has McAfee protection and I run system fix it utilities 11.
I tried putting it in safe mode and it went through running some files and when it came back to the start menu, the mouse was frozen. I could still type in my password, and it went to the desktop but the mouse remains frozen. I hope I don't need some other password because I don't have one.
Logitech Performance Mouse MX, extra buttons for previous / next page. Since yesterday evening these buttons are useless, instead of bringing me to next or previous page they both cause browser to jump two pages. An example: I open Seven Forums home page, click News, click first thread in News. After reading it I press back button which should bring me back to News main page but instead browser jumps two pages back to SF home page. Same action when Forward / Next button is pressed, browser jumps two pages forward. All browsers, all sites. Logitech Setpoint drivers uninstalled and reinstalled, laptop rebooted. Issue remains
My computer qwill freeze for a few seconds followed by system lag which seems to get worse (freezing every few seconds/taking 2 seconds to recognise a click etc.). If i reset my computer it resolves the issue but i was hoping you guys may be able to give me more insight as to what the issue may be.It nearly always happens when i am browsing in firefox. Have never had it happen to me during gaming etc. which is why i'm hesitant to believe it is to do with my GPU or it's drivers which are always kept up to date.i have included pics of the cursor and what processes were running at the time of the freeze/lag
Lately I have been having an annoying problem with my wireless mouse. For some reason the pointer will lag, and be very sluggish and jumpy. I've had this mouse on this computer for about a year and I've had no problem. Out of nowhere this problem is happening. I've tried re installing drivers with no luck. I tried uninstalling intellipoint and re-installing it, but when I tried I got the BSOD, and then it completely disabled my mouse and keyboard so I had to use wired peripherals to go in to safe mode and do a system restore. Now everything is working again, except my mouse is still jumpy.
i'm trying to order something from a website and the cursor want open my cart for me to look at it and finish my order. this is happening in several sites not just one.
Im using a microsoft wireless mouse wheel to scroll through web pages on IE9 and win 7. I set its speed to the lowest possible in control panel and it works fine.
When i restart my laptop, the speed is back up to full when i scroll, but when i check in control panel >mouse settings, the speed shows that its still set to the lowest setting. I move the slider, click apply and it works again.
how i can get my mouse wheel speed to be consistent between reboots?
After some time of working, my desktop doesn't respond to left/right mouse clicks. Also my desktop icons do not highlight when I pass over them. My OS is Windows 7 64bit
that when I use rpd from my Windows 7 Pro PC to my XP-Pro PC the wheel on the mouse will not work. The mouse works and everything else but not the wheel.
It must be Windows 7 because if I log in Xp to Xp it works. I tried another Win 7 PC to XP-Pro same thing!
Shortly after installing the latest intellipoint drivers suggested by Windows 7 along with several other updates from windows update, my Microsoft Keyboard stopped working after windows boots up. The mouse works fine but the keyboard does not.The keyboard doesn't respond AFTER windows starts but works fine in BIOS. I can boot to safe mode using F8 but then the keyboard stops working once Windows prompts me to logon.I can even use the sleep mode button on an alternate keyboard (Logitech) I tried later just to debug the problem to put the computer to sleep but the keys to log on aren't responsive. The computer succesfully restarted a few times after installting the updates so it may not directly be related to the windows updates. Either way, it didn't happen on next bootup.
-I tried all my system restore points and that did not work,
-I tried the "on-screen" keyboard just to get past the logon, but it does not pop up. I can get it to pop up in another installation of windows 7 on the same computer.
- I tried the keyboard on a separate (new) installation of Windows 7 on the same computer and it does work fine, but that doesn't solve the problem. Also the "on-screen" keyboard works fine in the new installation.
-I've tried going into BIOS and setting num-lock boot to on (I don't know why but someone suggested this might work for a similar problem) but it didn't work for me.
- I've also tried a few BIOS options that look like they might make a difference like legacy USB 3.0 support but that did not work.
- different USB ports 2.0 or 3.0 for the receiver combo do not make a difference.
Also a clean re-install is not an option for me because the licenses used for Windows and MS Office won't allow another install.I can get to a dos prompt or access the non-working windows 7 drive and files with dual-boot, but I need to get back to access that installation. Is there a way to manually reinstall the drivers via DOS, the other partition, or some other solution that might work?

I have a Microsoft Natural Wireless Keyboard and Mouse combo 7000.I have also tried a Logitech Y-RJ20 combo (Ps/2 keyboard, and USB mouse)

recently my computer was acting up and would not startup past the "windows is starting up" screen. I really wanted to play a bunch of games I just bought so I kept occasionally getting it to work in "last known good configuration". Safe mode didn't work and eventually I ran a disc I have no idea what it's called but it said soldierx on the screen and ran like 8 virus scans and did a bunch of tests on my comp, apparently geeksquad uses it. Anyways it removed 3120 spyware, but right before I decided to run this the only reason I decided to was because my keyboard and mouse stopped working. It works in the bios and anything before I actually get to my desktop, lights up and everything, even the keyboard shortcuts work such as windows search, but I can't move my mouse or do anything with my keyboard. I ran startup repair and it says that windows can't automatically fix the problem, had my dad do some pin reset thing where you do something with the battery and move pin 1 to 2 and 2 to three or something like that and didn't work, the bios has ps/2 enabled and legacy something enabled which I read could be the problem, and I have no restore points.
my problem is when I start the computer and get to the login screen; Im unable to choose the user because neither my keyboard and mouse don't work. I also can't get to the safe mode. I've got USB Wireless mouse and keyboard and it works in bios. I didnt make any changes to the computer lately
I recently bought a new laptop (ASUS K70IC) that has no Bluetooth (BT). I also bought a Bluetooth mouse with it, Genius 905BT and an USB Bluetooth dongle, I thought that would work. But it doesn't. Other Bluetooth devices show up when I search for them, but the mouse doesn't. I tried that in XP SP3 too (desktop PC) but it doesnt show up there either. So my questions are:
I've installed Virtual PC Beta on Windows 7 and have installed Vista SP1 on it. When clicking with the mouse on the lower left corner (ie Start button) or top right corner (ie close button on maximized window) it does not work. Everywhere else mouse clicks comes through just like they should. Anyone else experiencing the same, or even better, has a solution?
when i turn on my computer i usualy need to give password to turn it on, but now when i turn on the cpu and the password screen comes up, but i cannot use the keyboard and mouse. only thing i can do is shutdown from the cpu and turn on and still same issue.
I recently built a computer and today began to install Windows 7. The mouse and keyboard I bought work during BIOS configuration, but not during the OS installation. At all. I have tried other mice and keyboards and nothing works, not wireless or wired mice.
I cannot get my keyboard and mouse to work. I have resume the system from its previous location failed on my screen and to try again and press enter but keyboard and mouse won't work now so can't press enter.
my mouse doesn't work on the toolbar...i can't get the curser to work up there,,so i can't type on the address bar or click on anything......it seems to work just fine on tghe bottom of my screen..i can click on the start menu , ect. no problem.
I recently bought a replacement mouse + keyboard. (Both Wireless, use same connector). So, I plugged them in last night, and the keyboard worked in the startup. I log in, and it stops working? I have no way to access any files on that computer since i have no working mouse/keyboard besides the one that wont work on that, so I need a way to fix it without accessing files that are only accessible after login.
Is it possible to turn the mouse acceleration on only when using the touchpad on my laptop and off when I'm using the mouse? I usually don't use the touchpad when the mouse is plugged in if that's an
I probably spilled some coffee on the keyboard and now I can not inactivate the mouse pad in favor of the external mouse. The only way I can eliminate the conflict is to uninstall the mouse pad. That works fine but every time I reboot for something I have to uninstall it again. As you know rebooting is common and therefore I have to reboot twice for every time I have to reboot. Anyone with a solution to this problem? This is a HP laptop. The mouse automatically installs everytime I have to reboot. I do not shut down normaly.
After updating with KB2507938, his USB wireless mouse and keyboard stop working. Apparently his regular, wired keyboard works. Doing a System Restore fixes the problem, but after turning the computer off and then on, etc., the update reapplies itself.
