View 1 RepliesCursor is disappearing after few seconds while typing. I have to click again on the working page to bring back the cursor. I am totally tired in this.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have recently downloaded 'paint.net' to windows 7 and the icon keeps disappearing. Not necesarily on a restart but just over night or during the day at random. The program is still listed and works and it is on my start menu when I click on the windows icon in the bottom left corner. I have tried refreshing and still can't keep the shortcut on the desktop.

View 3 Replies View RelatedNo big deal, but would like to understand what might be happening.
Have "ClipTrak", a cliboard extender on my PC, and an icon to open it up was placed automatically in the area on the bottom of the screen, extreme right.
Not sure of what this area of the bottom taskbar bar is called; start-up, perhaps ?
It stays there for hours, works as it should, then totally disappears until the next PC
shutdown and subsequent start up again.
What might be happening ?
I am an IT tech in a school and we currently have a problem with mice pointers disappearing on the screen.connected to an interactive whiteboard (not brand specific)left until the screen goes black (10 minutes)while people are working on them (on SIMS)all said work stations are on the domain Update on mouse drivers disable screen dimming after 10 minutes (doesn't go off)updated graphics drivers enable mouse trails and set to minimum Swapping from duplicate to extended or computer only.
Mouse is still visible on the whiteboard projection, but not on the monitor in duplicate mode.It not confined to a type of machine or brand.Over the summer holidays a new image was applied, win7 32bit.
While in IE my mouse pointer will disappear. I unchecked "hide while typing" and it still disappears. I'll be reading a web page and the pointer disappears, I then have to shake the mouse so I can see where it is. Is this a new "feature" in the latest version of IE. If so, how do I turn it off?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI currently run everything in admin mode. most of my games force me to. When my pc just turns on it is quick instant response time, but after running for half a day it becomes slowed.. When i click on a program to start you know how it goes to a lightey darkend screen and the yellow dialog box asking to run the program? Well this is how it works. i get a full black screen for about 15 seconds. then the yellow dialog box then the black screen again for 15 seconds. this is on any of my programs. then back to desktop then the program starts. and not even then does the program really start takes about 15 more seconds then black screen then the program starts running. BUT it still isnt.. the screen goes black, then goes to a lighter shade of black, then dark black, then lighter shade of black then the program starts time elaspes 45 seconds or so.. this is for any program.. and when this occurs the black screens i get this EEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRR sound from my speakers and if something else is running say teamspeak they all disappear for that time till the program starts.
Also another way to see this issue is when i alt tab out. Takes 2 seconds when the pc is just start or before hand. now it coudl take 45 seconds to get to desktop and 45 to get back in. while this could also cause programs to stop responding and screws with the icon placement on my desktop. Another way of it showing is when i press on the start button and it takes up to 15 seconds to appear. or when i try to pull back up a web browser same amount of timeThis all start occuring after i placed in a second graphics card. although i cant understand why that woudl be causing the issue.restarting the machine is the ONLY way to get this to stop happening and it is truely fustrating i run a very high end computer.
My partner's mouse keeps disappearing when she types on her PC, almost the exact same physical and software-based machine as myself where I don't have any problemsWhen she starts typing the mouse disappears and un-clicks the program she was on, this means basically if you were to have a program open then were to click the desktop so no programs are selected, this is what happens, but automatically while typing. Also when I say it disappears and deselects I mean on literally anything; Browsers (Firefox, Opera, IE, Chrome), Microsoft Word, Spotify (search box), etc.Under (Control Panel > Mouse > Pointer Options > Visibility > Hide pointer while typing) this check box is obviously unchecked, first thing I went too and I have tried other subtle fixes but nothing seems to do anything
View 2 Replies View RelatedFresh install of 7 ulti 64 as of 4 hours ago. full optimizations have been done. using the latest version of firefox with its web cache of 50mb put on a ram drive. some times when i go to a website it will load all the test with no formatting or images. so everything is to the left side of the page and in a jumbled mess like you see on a phone with no real web browser. if i hit F5 it will then load the page normally instantly. also from time to time it will say it cant find the page, then a F5 will bring it right up. i know its not a network issue as all my other programs are staying connected. also Firefox has been locking up on me, ill have only 10 or 13 tabs open and go to click something or close a tab and the whole browser locks for up to 30 seconds then it pops back. nothing else on the system freezes.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have a USB mouse which works fine when it is plugged in at boot time.
When I then (when Win7 is already up) plug the USB mouse out and 10 seconds later back in again then it is not working any more.
Another USB mouse on another Win7 computer does not have such problems.
My computer qwill freeze for a few seconds followed by system lag which seems to get worse (freezing every few seconds/taking 2 seconds to recognise a click etc.). If i reset my computer it resolves the issue but i was hoping you guys may be able to give me more insight as to what the issue may be.It nearly always happens when i am browsing in firefox. Have never had it happen to me during gaming etc. which is why i'm hesitant to believe it is to do with my GPU or it's drivers which are always kept up to date.i have included pics of the cursor and what processes were running at the time of the freeze/lag
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have experienced the cursor "shutting off" after several seconds. Typing anywhere not possible - email, word processing, etc. To reactivate, the mouse had to be left-clicked. After trying literally everything to resolve, I performed a total system restore back to when the laptop was new. Obviously, a Windows 7 update has a serious glitch. I am now getting requests to allow updates and am denying them. How do I keep updates from automatically occurring? I plan to deny updates until I can get Windows 8.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI've been having this problem for the past couple of months and it's driving me insane. I've searched for hours on end without any luck of a fix.The problem is that my mouse lags (or stutters) every 5 seconds. The lag can sometimes be so bad that the mouse completely stops working for a few seconds.I've gone through 3 mice and they've all had the same problem so it can't be because of the mouse. The mouse I'm currently using is the Logitech Anywhere MX.
View 4 Replies View RelatedSo my keyboard and mouse are completely usable in the bios and during boot, but once the windows login screen opens up, there is a 30+ second delay before the keyboard and mouse become active. This doesn't appear to be a freeze or lag of any type, just like the keyboard and mouse hasn't been recognized yet. I have a printer and several external drives connected to my computer's USB ports, so I tried unplugging everything but the keyboard and mouse. The time goes down to about 5 seconds, however, the last few times I've tried, there was about a 10 second wait for the mouse to work after the keyboard worked. With only the mouse and keyboard plugged in, I feel this must be either 1) an issue with drivers loading or 2) a specific issue with my USB drivers. Here's what I've done so far to try and troubleshoot. Not sure what to do next.Used google (couldn't find anything that looked related enough to try)Unplugged everything but keyboard and mouse from USB ports - Decreased lag time to 5-15 secondsenabled boot logging, checked file for drivers not loading (attached)Checked bios for legacy USB enabled (it was)Double checked AV software (only MS Security Essentials and Malwarebytes installed, malwarebytes does not run any processes unless I start it up)Having multiple USB devices plugged in upon boot should not delay the usability of my keyboard and mouse.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have an HP desktop x64, win 7 32 i just did a factory restore 2 day ago but, I still have 1 of the problems I had before; the mouse on my computer will freeze for like 20 sec and sometimes causing the system to crash. Yesterday, it shut down on me and a blue screen popped up it said something about the drivers or bios but, I checked the maintenance and it said everything passed (good).
View 1 Replies View RelatedI would like for the mouse pointer/cursor to hide after a few seconds of inactivity. Is there a way to do this natively?
I tried this software and it does do this, but it is also buggy and sometimes the cursor never comes back from hiding.
