View 9 RepliesI have found a pointer that I want to use in my Windows 7 environment, it is the airplane pointer used in Secret Weapons Over Normandy. Can anyone tell me how I go about this? It appears the cursor file in the game folder is a .bin file without a picture while windows cursor fies are .cur and have a picture in the file listing.
View 1 Replies View RelatedCan I have an explanation of how to operate the pointer w/o a mouse. I believe there is a way using the keys on the keyboard. This would be for a temporary fix.
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy mouse keeps jumping to where ever the pointer happens to be. sometimes I will hit the space bar and I would lose the whole screen I cant use the word processor as a result.

Apart from the fact that my Mouse Pointer has suddenly become really REALLY big! I've tried changing the size setting via the Control Panel but it doesn't change the size at all!
I've been informed by a friend of mine that if I lift my mouse off the desk that it thinks the mouse is really far away and makes the adjustment however... it won't go back to normal size!!
Does anyone have an answer?
Okay so i have just recently realized that my mouse has somewhat of a shadow behind it, Well i was on photoshop today trying to do something and i saw that my mouse will also barely paint the section of this "Shadow" Well i went into Personalization and turned shadow off and set the mouse to basic settings. View 2 Replies View RelatedFirst of all, I don't know what I am doing. While I am home for Christmas my elderly mother asked me to fix her computer because it is "broken." What broken apparently means is that the mouse pointer is gone. I have tried everything I can think to do to get the mouse pointer back: going into mouse properties and choosing the proper device (it seems to be stuck on other pointing device, not the touchpad). That is the only thing I could think to do. Plus, I am not great at navigating without a mouse pointer.

All of a sudden my mouse only Left clicks on things it wants to. I can select icons on the desktop, but I cant click the start menu or the "X" to close a window, nor drag windows. Sometimes it can be the other way.
This is very Irritating, I just restart and hope it works the next time.
I can confirm this issue, since I am using a laptop and both external and touchpad double tap, and clicker have the same issue.
While in IE my mouse pointer will disappear. I unchecked "hide while typing" and it still disappears. I'll be reading a web page and the pointer disappears, I then have to shake the mouse so I can see where it is. Is this a new "feature" in the latest version of IE. If so, how do I turn it off?
View 6 Replies View RelatedDon't know whether anyone else has had this problem but my mouse pointer disappears in Media Center.
It never used to, this problem only started over the last few days.
I have a Roccat Kone mouse and I know that Windows 7 doesn't like it. I've had to download a fresh driver for each of the many builds I've installed over the last 6 months i.e. it won't install a stored driver.
Anyway. I can't think why this should have suddenly started. I've not installed anything new.
It makes Media Center virtually impossible to use for watching TV, using the guide etc.

View 8 Replies View RelatedIn some games, my mouse pointer remains visible during the game. For example, right now I'm playing Luxor 4, and while you use the mouse to move, I also see the mouse pointer as well, and it's very distracting. It moves right along with my shooter. It obviously doesn't belong on the screen during gameplay. I've seen this in all the Luxor games I've played, and I can't believe this is normal. I'm using a Logitech Anywhere MX mouse. Is there a setting in Windows that would affect this?
View 8 Replies View RelatedI am using Windows 7 Home Premium, 64 bit. HP m9500f computer. Ever since installing Windows 7 my mouse cursor gets slow when surfing the net at times. That is, to get the cursor across the screen I sometimes have to sweep the mouse two or three times in that direction because the cursor hesitates. If I close all browser windows and open up, e.g., Word, the problem persists. It usually clears up soon after.
View 9 Replies View RelatedSetup: Win 7 Home premium 64 bit? I periodically get some kind of crud that seems to attach to the mouse pointer. It looks something like the kind of `v' you might make to quickly draw as a representation of a flying bird. But there 7 or 8, maybe more, stacked vertically. I'm not sure what makes it go away but it does after a while. (usually)It appears to have something to do with the right bottom corner area of my screen where I have the clock just to the left of icons of the system tray. And finally a sort of patch or rectangular square that will make the desktop appear.I just found today that if I rub the mouse around in that area, the crud gets many more vertical stacks of `vee', until finally its a little block about the size of a postage stamp, just a little shorter and square, and looks something like a speckled sheet or one with many bits of herringbone pattern.
The block has only happened after passing the mouse there many times. Usually it's just a single column of the these stacked `vees'
While I'm typing text into any program (email, Word, etc), the cursor will auto-move to wherever the mouse pointer would be (sort of like the setting is on that does auto-select/click when it sits on something). I then end up typing into a completely different part of the message/document and it's SO frustrating. There's no rhyme or reason to when it occurs, at least not that I can figure out.
It's nothing to do with my mouse/drivers - it happens with both my trackpad and my USB mouse.
Recently my computer has not been loading windows 7 up intill the login screen. I get to see the little circle color things swirl around with the "Loading Windows" text, but were the login screen usually appears, I get a totally black screen with a movable mouse pointer. It is a brand new rig with 4g RAM (2g sticks) and I am running the 64 bit version but wounder if this is causing the problem.
Also when I try to do a system restore using the windows disc, I must first go into the settings (by pressing DEL on start up), then set my bay drive to boot first rather then my SATA to get the "Press any button to boot from disc... " prompt. Otherwise windows will ignore the disc. However when I load the disc and try to go into restore points, there are none to choose from.... I have no clue what to do and am willing to just install windows complelty again ext.
I just barely reinstalled my Windows 7 computer, and have transferred my files back to my computer from an external hard drive. I decided to sort and delete unused files, when eventually my mouse movement started to move very erratic. Moving to the left seems to cover less ground, while moving to the right seems to work normally. Up and down has the same effects as left movement, which is why moving to the right isn't always smooth or perfect. I am using a wired Razer Deathadder mouse (left handed), and have the correct drivers installed. I have restarted the computer but I still have the same symptoms.
View 1 Replies View RelatedToday I started my PC, and everything was fine until I tried to move my mouse pointer. I don't know what's wrong because everything else from the mouse works perfectly fine, right/left click, in browser back/next (I'm using a r.a.t. 5 mouse). I tried reinstalling its software, and also tried different mice. Still only clicks are recognized, no movement.

Now, my computer at home is a HP Pavilion P6610F running Windows 7 with a Galaxi GeForce GT 430 This computer only shows the two cursor when I record the screen.
I tried recording the screen with screenr and camstudio.
My mouse pointer is getting large and blocky (like if the resolution had suddenly decrease but only for the mouse pointer) quite randomly while using it. When playing games this happen every time I stop and go back to the desktop (Fallout 3 and Blood Bowl). Once this happen changing the resolution makes not difference, changing the mouse pointer type makes no difference and only restarting will get everything back to normal.
I use Win 7 home premium 64bit, a P55 Gigabit with an i7 860 and a ATI 5850 graphics card with the latest catalyst drivers on it. I use the standard aero set-up for Win7.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have been using win 7 for a couple years with the same wireless mouse/keyboard combo (microsoft ntellimouse explorer 2.0). The other day the pointer mouse pointer froze in the middle of the screen. I have rebooted several times, tried a wired usb mouse (it works on other computers with win7), tried uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers and nothing has worked. The pointer is still frozen in the middle of the screen. I'd like some suggestions on how to resolve this issue.
View 1 Replies View RelatedThe issue is that my screen will go dim after switching users or switching users and switching back, its not a set pastern and doesn't happen every time. so i havnt been able to reproduce the issue, however i have had it happen to more then one of my computers and on more then one installation of windows 7 (and windows 2008R2 in one instance).uling out basicly any hardware issue is that my cursor always remains bright and sometimes switching/logout/login will resolve the issue on one account or the other account (no patern)Decreasing the chances of a driver issue is that i have had this problem on 2 systems with different brand graphics over the course of 2 and 3 windows installations respectively all with multiple driver updates and re installations.
Ruling out a connection to UAC is that i have UAC totaly disabled on both machines Heres the rub, i might be doing this to myself... but i cant just except that.instead of having my screen lock after a certain time frame, i use a special screen saver that 'runs a program'. the program ive chosen is "tsdiscon.exe", the executable used to invoke a 'switch user'.when theses 2 computers are left unattended i need the next user to see the user selection screen, ive had too many issues with people not knowing to hit the "switch user" button on the lock screen.ive found all sorts of people having this issue (dim screen bright cursor), but many seem to be dead ends or fixes that only fix the symptoms like the one show here display - Why does my screen dim on a desktop installation of Windows 7? - Super UserIn that case someone suggested forcing the graphics card to use its own color/brightness profile instead of the systems, i tried this and it does seem to work but i want to know why the system profile is screwed up.
My mouse pointer is flashing busy everytime it shows the regular icon and no problem noted while inside textbox.I performed a full scan. The antivirus installed is McAfee and I also have MBAM installed in my system.System is windows 7 6gb RAM Intel core i5 processor. Mine is comparatively a new one. I read a thread for a similar issue and ended up disabling services.msc. But now also am facing the same issue.
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy win 7 laptop reported that a usb device had malfunctioned - my mouse, a roccat kone, no longer controlled the pointer. The scroll wheel and buttons still work, but the pointer will not move. Having had a similar problem in the past I purchased a new mouse, a rat 7, but I have the exact same problem.
Now both mice work fine on my PC, and both work on a variety of surfaces.
- I have tried in safe mode, no luck
- I have tried uninstalling all usb drivers, and all mouse drivers, no success (all other peripherals work fine, hard rives, usb drives and a tablet/pen)
- I have rebooted a million times, and tried toggling legacy usb support in bios.
- I also tried installing microsoft generic mouse drivers, no luck.
I am willing to try anything, though id rather not reinstall the os.
[code] This info above is not for the PC in trouble.I have an ACER laptop and it all of a sudden went to a blue screen and then tried to reboot to a black screen with mouse pointer only. Tried my win 7 upgrade CD to see if I could repair and it only loads to the same end. No options are asked for.The blue screen has appeared a couple of times and states a unusable boot sector. I would like to run a checkdisk but cannot find one to put on a memory stick with a minimal operating system.I have tried all the reboot choices, F8, F2 and F12.I tried to use an old windows XP install CD and when I select install it says a HDD can not be found.
