This happened after I installed Comodo firewall. I'm not sure if that is relevant though. Anyway, I tried running the command "sfc /snannow" in the command prompt (in admin mode) but to no avail even after I restarted the system. Also, I can no longer create a system restore point manually. Which when clicked "create a restore point", they will show me these errors.

When I click on " Run Diagnostics" I have this :

PS : The Windows 7 Firewall is desactivated!

have successfully installed comodo 3, by setting the installer as vista compatibility.
i ran kapersky for a few days, but was fedup with the mass onslaught of program access queries.
i am having a slight problem with the firewall side of comodo: i know that it works when i can the 'stop activity' button and it shuts everything down, but when running leak test, the firewall does not respond, i have it on safe mode.
the incoming/outgoing monitor also shows no connections, could this be the problem? the program not communicating with windows correctly?
Is COMODO firewall compatible with windows 7?

I seem to be unable to view some of the videos on the windows 7 laptop but able to view those same videos on vista laptop. the error is normally "200, Stream not found, NetStream.Play.StreamNotFound, clip". Is it a settings problem as both of my laptops are installed with the same version of flash players.
I have tried to uninstall the flash player and re-install the flash player but the error still persist.

View 2 Replies View Relatedmy brother gave me a new motherboard last weekend and I had to reformat consequently, since then however I have been unable to view or access my netbook or network drive. Before reformatting I was running on Windows 7 ultimate x32 and I am now running on the same however in x64 instead. I know that my network is working as I can access my network drive through my netbook but I am unable to see my computer or netbook through both devices, but seen as my net-book was able to see my pc prior to reformatting I am pretty sure it is an issue with my computer. I have done all the usual checks through the network and sharing center to ensure that everything is shared correctly and that network discovery is turned on.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a brand new Sony SVT13112FXS - hard drive is a hybrid of 500 GB HDD and 32 GB SDD.I was attempting to reformat it to get all of the anti-virus stuff off, except when I tried to reformat no disks were shown in the reformat tool. It asked for drivers, so I assumed I'd need to install the SATA/chipset drivers. I downloaded them from the Sony website but it wouldn't allow me to install them (from a flash drive). Specifically the error is "No drives were found. Click load driver to provide a mass storage driver for installation."In my troubleshooting I (stupidly) marked the wrong partition as active and got the dreaded "bootmgr is missing" upon restart. I attempted to repair using the windows 7 disk as a recovery tool and selected "startup repair" 3 times, but it still does not work.I am able to get into command prompt and I am assuming I can inactivate the (wrong) active partition there. However, when I go into DISKPART and type "list disk", all that shows up is my flash drive that I am attempting to install windows from - the computers hard drive does NOT show up here.I will also happily completely reformat instead of repairing, but I cannot do that since I can't get the disks to show up in the reformat tool.

Then, just now, I got this other message saying this process couldn't be ignored any longer along with these specifications: proces-id=0xd00 (3328), thread-id=0x1d90 (7568). I can do this very easely, but i can't add data corresponding the columns to a file.The goal is to have a list of different file-types like word, excel, pdf, ... in one folder. Those files have to contain the information corresponding the columns, e.g.:"A.1.1 _ P090402/1 _ title of the original file _ 27/06/1950 _ CocaCola _ windows-name _ mail etc".this seems to be impossible because every file is different: the one let you insert one of the specifications (but often not all...), the other doesn't accept changes (like pdf).
i installed the comodo firewall and decided to delete it. So i clicked on the delete button and if type in 'comodo' into my home windows for any files nothing comes up. So i thought it was gone. But when i was playing an online game the comodo firewall popped up asking if wanted to allow it to connect to the internet. How can i actually delete Comodo!?

I just installed Win 7 a few days ago and am still learning after years on XP.When I open System Restore, I only get one restore option, and it's from last night. When I check the block for show more options there is no change even after I close/re-open Sys Restore.Doesn't the system create a new restore point on boot? Doesn't it keep older restore ponts? Also, I want all my files to open with large icons. In many of the folders I can't find a "view" option anywhere/anyway.

View 3 Replies View RelatedJust started setting up my backups with Comodo but suddenly realized that seemingly no name is associated with a backup. In my case I trying to create the following backups:
1. critical files: full/each-Sun
2. critical files: Inc/daily
3. studio files: full/1st-each-month
4. studio files: Inc/each-Sat
5. resource files: full/15-each-month
and so on...
But is it possible to create multiple backups using Comodo?? Or, am I just changing the full and Inc backups over and over again!How, for instance, can I check and/or change my 'critical files' backup?I have almost a T-Byte of data (I do 3D animation) which is why I like to breakup my backups.
I have 2 internal HDD drives, a 1 Tb master "C" drive and another for media which is named "Z" drive. I have a number of files that appeared on my Z drive that I cant really account for. I downloaded and installed Comodo backup free edition and that is all I've done out of the ordinary since the files appeared. I uninstalled Comodo but the files are still there.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI installed Windows 7 64 Bit 6 days ago and Im still trying to find a solution to my nvidia drivers. I have a dell xps 1730 with nvidia's 8800 GTX SLI. I have been reading several forums and posts and Ive done just about everything theyve said to do and still no luck.
Here's the scoop, so I have downloaded 186.03_notebook_win7_64bit_international_whql from the nvidia site and 18172_win7x64 from nvision along with the modded inf file. Have installed both as described on both sites.
Ok, this portion happens with the nvidia site driver. It installs just fine the restart where the issues begin. Once it reboots and begins to load Windows 7 it freezes up the goes back to the bios and on to where it asks to do the starup repair thing or start window normal. So Ill hit start normal, same thing will happen. I choose to fix then I proceed to install all over again. Again, reboot same thing, I choose star normal and this time it goes to the screen where you see the cursor and it says welcome then suddenly crashes.
Now for the nvision site driver. Install is same both ways. Restart, goes thru bios now on this driver it hits the Windows 7 and immediately gives BSOD. So I reboot, again same thing. Once more only this time it goes thru and Im able to get into Windows 7 like nothing. Ok great, well not really. No nvidia panel, so I adjust the resolution go into driver manager to check the status and it says that it not working because it needs a restart, ok so I restart. Again BSOD over and over.
After every attempt I have to fall back to a previous restore point and still have had no luck.
Am I getting the wrong drivers? Is there something Im missing? Could it be just a Windows 7 issue?
Recently had a virus infection and noticed that the windows firewall service is missing. When trying to reset to recommended settings by using control panel received error code 0x80070424. Cannot access other computers or shared files/folders on home network. Saw a previous post dated 12-17 that appears to be the same problem.
View 14 Replies View RelatedPrinting's been working fine up until about a week ago. Suddenly I'm unable to print out of chrome. Whenever I try to print I get an error that says "Printer not Installed" in the browser. I disable the "print preview" chrome has recently implemented but that doesn't work. I reinstall Chrome to no avail. I try to print in Firefox and get a different error... "An Error Occurred while Printing." I do some research and then realize I can't print out of Acrobat Pro. My print settings dialog in Acrobat is unlike any I've ever seen and no options work. I can't change the paper size or access the printer settings from the Acrobat Print Dialog.
Steps I've taken so far:
Reinstalled the printer
Restarted Print Spooler
Deleted the Port
Reinstalled Printer again with new drivers
Successfully Printed Test Pages after each of these steps. Still could not print out of other programs.
Successfully Printed out of MS Word
I logged in under a different user and was able to print out of firefox.
