View 2 RepliesThis is my WEI for my graphics card.
Display adapter type NVIDIA GeForce 9300M GS
Total available graphics memory 2303 MB
Dedicated graphics memory 512 MB
Dedicated system memory 0 MB
Shared system memory 1791 MB
Display adapter driver version 8.15.11.9038
Primary monitor resolution 1280x800

Can I change the amount of dedicated system memory?
I want to change my dedicated video memory because in my laptop total available graphic memory is 762MB, but to dedicated video memory just 64 MB and in shared system memory 698MB. like that, maybe I can change the dedicated video memory until 128MB or anything.

View 3 Replies View Relatedhave a Dell Inspiron N5110 15R laptop. It is i3, having 4 GB of RAM and 500 GB of hard-disk. But when it comes to the Graphics, it has onboard graphics, i.e. Intel HD Graphics 3000. Now I have 2GB of shared video memory but I only have 64MB of Dedicated Video Memory which is, I think, not enough to play games like Battlefield 3 or Call of Duty(s)Now, coming to the question, is there any way I could increase Dedicated Video Memory? I will be happy to donate 1 GB (or 512 MB) more to Dedicated Video Memory.[CODE]
View 4 Replies View RelatedI dont have a great graphics card, and it is integrated into my motherboard and uses a percentage of my RAM. I was just wondering if it is possible to dedicate more of my RAM to my graphics since i never use all of it anyway? I know this sounds kind of stupid but my mind wanders on occasion.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI wonder, can I assign some of the RAM to the graphics card, so the graphics card will think its its own memory, and will use that along its own memory.
I am asking because I need like 70 MB more memory on the graphics card for GTA IV, so the textures will stop disappearing. I know this would most likely cause slowdown, but I wonder if its possible.
My problem is when i select gpu id software it shows everything normal and it shows you have ati radeon 5770 and shows u have 1gb but when i check my system online with srtest.com or even i open dxdiag through the windows run panel in the display settings i got approx 701mb memory of gpu memory. I have looked all over the internet for an answer to this problem, but I cannot find one. You see, in my setup menu (or rather the BIOS? I don't really know. The thing that you press F2 for after seeing "acer" or "DELL") there is no video options tab. Just, if I remember correctly, "information, Security, Boot, Exit", and one other thing that shows the time, date, and total RAM. I cannot however highlight total RAM or video RAM (I have about 120 MB of VRAM, 4GB of total). So how do I change shared video memory if there is no video tab? I'm looking to boost performance (even if it's only by a little bit) in games. I'm willing to share more PC info, just ask

View 1 Replies View RelatedWell I read somewhere that my laptop has a video-card connected to the motherboard so I cant replace it with a better one, and since I don't have the money to buy a new computer all-together I thought maybe someone tech-savey kind person could help me make my current video-card work better. Anyway I recently read somewhere that the main reason why my Video-card is so cr@ppy is becuase it has very low dedicated video ram(128mb to be exact) and I think that is extremely low for a laptop bought in 2009, and there should be a way to raise it. How to increase my dedicated video ram?
On my HP G50-112NR Notebook, 32bit, I inserted a 16G Verbatim USB flash drive to learn about ReadyBoost. I clicked on "Dedicate this device to ReadyBoost," thinking that I could change my mind later and "undo" it. I can't!! The USB had a few files on it & Properties shows they are still there. Device Manager says the USB is working properly. But when I try to "Open" the drive, the resulting window says it's empty. I have tried clicking "Do not use. . ." but nothing happens. I want to Undo the ReadyBoost "dedication" & restore the USB to normal use. How do I do that? (Unless I receive some good advice, I'm going to Format the USB).
