View 1 RepliesOkay, so I love Arma 2 and I really want to play DayZ, but my graphics card sucks, and with upgrading my computer being not one of the options that I have,I'm sorry that it is so long, I'm new here, I don't know what is and what isn't important. Here are my computers specs:

I dont have a great graphics card, and it is integrated into my motherboard and uses a percentage of my RAM. I was just wondering if it is possible to dedicate more of my RAM to my graphics since i never use all of it anyway? I know this sounds kind of stupid but my mind wanders on occasion.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI wonder, can I assign some of the RAM to the graphics card, so the graphics card will think its its own memory, and will use that along its own memory.
I am asking because I need like 70 MB more memory on the graphics card for GTA IV, so the textures will stop disappearing. I know this would most likely cause slowdown, but I wonder if its possible.
My problem is when i select gpu id software it shows everything normal and it shows you have ati radeon 5770 and shows u have 1gb but when i check my system online with srtest.com or even i open dxdiag through the windows run panel in the display settings i got approx 701mb memory of gpu memory. I don't what is that and also my windows experience score down a little bit. I hv already done a clean installation of windows 7 ultimate but nothing happen. and also i have 8gb ram ddr3
View 1 Replies View RelatedFor my graphics card, it says it is an Intel G33/G31 Express Chipset Family. I know it has 64 MB dedicated to it and I'm not sure if I can increase that or if I have to buy a graphics card.

Can I change the amount of dedicated system memory?
I just accidentally changed my settings on my grapics card so that I can no longer see my desktop on the monitor connected to my HTPC. My HTPC has a monitor attached to it and it also has an HDMI out from the graphics card going to an LED TV in another room. I accidentally switched it so that the desktop can only be seen on the other TV in the other room.
All I can see on the monitor is the blank Windows 7 logo (no desktop icons) and I cannot navigate back to my AMD control page to undo this. I tried rebooting but this does not work. This is an issue as I don't have a bluetooth keyboard/mouse that I can use in the other room to control the desktop. How do I reset this? I am using a AMD HD 6750 graphics card.
I'm fixing my sisters computer, It froze on her, when she tried to start it up again it went into some sort of system repair mode and after about 20hrs of this (no joke) it gave me the option to restore the computer to factory settings, it also gave me the option to install some sort of backup on the hard drive, however i tried this and it said there was no room on the hard drive (if i didn't know any better I'd say the problem was with the hard drive) i went ahead with the system recovery as it seemed to be the only way to fix the computer (i know i sound like an oaf) now the computer is showing me a screen which states that i need to insert my windows installation disc, however the laptop has no disc drive!

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm certain that this has been answered before but I am aware that for certain computers it can be quite different. My question is how do I restore my computer to factory settings? I have a Gigabyte GA-Z77-D3H, I've looked all over the manual and still can not figure out exactly how. I always try to access my BIOS but there seems to be no recovery management on it. I have my Win7 reinstallation disc and Gigabyte Drivers installation disc if that helps.I'll reinstall windows if I have to, but only if it'll reset everything. I have a 60GB Boot Drive and a 1TB hard drive.

View 1 Replies View RelatedThe flyer that came with this month's PCA included a tip to utilise a blank USB flash drive for virtual memory. When I go to Properties/ReadyBoost on the USB drive, it says "This device cannot be used by ReadyBoost"Then it says "ReadyBoost is not enabled because the service responsible for ReadyBoost (Sysmain) has been turned off on this computer. An administrator can turn the Sysmain service back on"When I searched, including Microsoft website, there is no recognition of the term Sysmain.

I have a Acer Aspire 5253 laptop which came with a 1 GHz AMD C-50 dual core processor with 2 GB of RAM and a 64 bit OS. It was using 100% CPU and 90%- 100% memory, so I removed the 2 GB of RAM and installed (2) 4GB RAM. Thing is it will still using 100% of the CPU and now only 23% of the memory. Is there something wrong here? 1-2 apps running (this number includes the anti-virus program) and one loading can stall or freeze the computer. Why so little memory usage? why doesn't the CPU allocate more memory to help itself with the load?
Programs mostly used:
Google Chrome
Windows Office
iTunes
Kaspersky Pure (anti virus program, always running)
Pot Player (video player)

I have 2 Windows 7 Ultimate x64. I was using the first one mainly, and it is already customized as I wish including control panel icons, folder icons, desktop icons, boot logo and boot sound and etc. Is there any way that I can copy all those settings to the other machine? (So that I wouldn't have to go to regedit and do all those setting again and again, and also arrange the boot logo and sound again)?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI just upgraded to windows 7 (rather a repaired version from windows 7) and why setting up, I was prompted to chose how to connect to my network. My computer has now been stuck in this pre-login network settings thing for over an hour now. I finally figured I'd cancel and fix it later, but there is no cancel. So i restarted my computer, only to have it start exactly where it left off. I was sure to completely turn off my computer, then it started over when I turned it back on. After unplugging my internet, it skipped the process.*
View 1 Replies View RelatedSo i have open DNS setup on my home router which is connected to my Verizon router (piece of crap) which i also have running open DNS. I run open dns for security and for filtering i have several teenagers in the house and i need to filter content. The only problem is that they can bypass the DNS server settings by setting them manually on there computer Start > Control panel > network and sharing > adapter setting > left click on adapter > properties > IPV4 properties and then change the DNS. I was wondering if there was a way to make it so this trick does not work? I have tried everything i know to do. I have set the open DNS, as the DNS server on every connection on my Verizon router and on my linksys router but it can still be bypassed.
