Alright, I'd like to download and play Skyrim, but the website,"Systemsrequirementslab.com" says my dedicated video RAM is too low to play.I know that the website often tells you that you can't run a game if you have hardware it doesn't recognize, but I checked it out and this time it's right.I checked under the Intel Systems InformationCurrent Graphics Memory (In use): 75mbMaximum Graphics Memory: 1760mb1760mb is well over the recomended amount for the game, so I'm not sure how to let my laptop use it

I downloaded Skyim from steam a while ago and after it had downloaded I was able to load the game up, however the lag was unbearable. It was simply running too slowly.I tried seeking help in various other places, but after looking in detail trying to see what the problem was I finally discovered that my Dedicated Video RAM was the only thing that was too low. It's a mere 64 MB and I need to try and get it to 512mb if I can.I've seen various people say that your dedicated memory can be increased, other have said that it can't be increased though. Which has left me utterly confused. Here are my System details.Manufacture: Samsung Electronics Rating (Windows Experience Index): 3.3 Processor: Pentium(R) Dual-Core CPU T4400 @ 2.20GHz 2.20GHz Installed memory (RAM): 3.00 GB System type: 32-bit operating systemI'll try give any other necessary information if people let me know what they need/how to get it if the problem can be solved. If not then I guess that means I'd have to purchase a new computer?

I want to change my dedicated video memory because in my laptop total available graphic memory is 762MB, but to dedicated video memory just 64 MB and in shared system memory 698MB. like that, maybe I can change the dedicated video memory until 128MB or anything.

have a Dell Inspiron N5110 15R laptop. It is i3, having 4 GB of RAM and 500 GB of hard-disk. But when it comes to the Graphics, it has onboard graphics, i.e. Intel HD Graphics 3000. Now I have 2GB of shared video memory but I only have 64MB of Dedicated Video Memory which is, I think, not enough to play games like Battlefield 3 or Call of Duty(s)Now, coming to the question, is there any way I could increase Dedicated Video Memory? I will be happy to donate 1 GB (or 512 MB) more to Dedicated Video Memory.[CODE]

Well I read somewhere that my laptop has a video-card connected to the motherboard so I cant replace it with a better one, and since I don't have the money to buy a new computer all-together I thought maybe someone tech-savey kind person could help me make my current video-card work better. Anyway I recently read somewhere that the main reason why my Video-card is so cr@ppy is becuase it has very low dedicated video ram(128mb to be exact) and I think that is extremely low for a laptop bought in 2009, and there should be a way to raise it. I currently have a dell Inspiron n7010. I checked to see if I could run Diablo III, and found that I lack the Dedicated Video Ram of 256MB. My current dedicated Video Ram is 64MB. My Graphics card is Intel(r) HD Graphics. After reading several sites, it appears that this graphic card is impossible to upgrade, so I was hoping I might be bale to increase the dedicated ram so I could install Diablo III.My apologies if this has been answered previously. I would gladly read the original thread if someone posts a link to it.

I have windows 7 64 bit and also running a ssd. Just a few days ago I've started to have an issue where after my computer is running for a couple hours all processes continually increase the amount of memory they are using until I get an out of memory error. Here is a pic of it around 75%. I have 8 gigs of ram (kingston) that before this never went above 4gigs of use, so not sure what is causing this suddenly.

I run a triple screen setup and recently replaced a 1080x720 monitor with a 1080p one (the other monitors are 1080p and 1680x1050). Then I started being plagued by "Windows Aero has exceeded its maximum memory allocated" and "Is your system performing slowly?" messages, with Windows turning off Aero every now and then.I have plenty of memory (8GB, soon to be 16GB) and at idle I only use ~30% of it (when Aero is enabled it sits around 35%), so a lack of memory isnt the issue, just that it seems Aero is using more than is allocated. So I was wondering if there is a way to increase the amount allocated. I have researched a bit on this subject but what I have found so far is a flat out no, Microsoft saying update Windows and graphics card drivers (all is up to date) and some indirect fixes that so far haven't helped.

For my graphics card, it says it is an Intel G33/G31 Express Chipset Family. I know it has 64 MB dedicated to it and I'm not sure if I can increase that or if I have to buy a graphics card.

For the last few weeks I have been getting BSOD: IRQL not less or equal, and system service exception. I first updated all drivers/windows ect, and ran recommended repair utilities. After this had no effect, I had been directed by another source to test the RAM, and so ran memtest, finding no errors. I have also swapped out different combinations of my 4 Dimms of RAM to try and isolate the problem. While I have been swapping out my RAM sticks, I happened to notice that my physical memory usage would slowly and steadily rise until ~ 95-99% at which point the BSOD would occur. Since noticing the RAM usage continually rising seemed to cause the crash, I have found that rebooting when the memory usage gets too high will baseline the RAM usage and can prevent the BSOD. Does anyone have any idea what might be causing this? The only programs I'm using are world of warcraft, chrome, and occasionally skype or MS office. BSOD have occured with some or even none of these applications open(But always with memory usage @ ~ 90% or higher). Closing every program when the memory gets high doesn't cause the memory usage to ever stop rising(though it will temporarily drop the usage). So in a nutshell:My memory usage goes from ~20% on fresh boot, gradually increasing until ~95-98% and I Crash. I've scanned the processes>show processes from all users and nothing stands out that seems to be using too much memory.

i am having a problem with my memory getting tied up / used up and not being able to access it again until i reboot.
machine: dell xps studio 8100
os: win 7,
processor: i7 2.8
ram: 16gb (max it will take)
video: ati radeon 5700 (running 3 monitors)
versions: as far as i know i am running current versions of everything, including video drivers, flash, chrome, etc. (i've tried running chrome with both the build in version of flash and the system version -haven't seen a difference)
browser: i nearly exclusively run chrome / canary with auto-updates so am at the latest builds.what seems to cause me to use up / run out of memory is after i play videos (Internet, netflix, etc.), the memory seems to get used, but is not returned to the system, even if the browser is closed and re-opened.right now for example things are working fine; i rebooted my system a couple hours ago (but have not played any videos). i have adobe lightroom running, picasa, chrome and canary (currently 4 web browser windows open with 52 tabs open). task manager currently shows me using 8.20gb of ram, that seems pretty reasonable to me.
normally my system will keep running properly (if a program is closed, memory is freed up) right up until i start to play any videos (Internet, netflix, etc.) then it will start using up more memory. (of course i expect it to use more memory during playback) however, even if i restart the browser, the memory does not get freed back up. for example, just prior to the reboot, with everything closed, i was using right around 8gb of ram. once i rebooted, i was using 1.something gb of ram prior to opening any programs.however, once i start playing some videos, i never seem to be able to get my ram freed back up again unless i reboot the whole system. this is not just a problem with how much memory the system shows as being available, i frequently actually run out of memory. (task manager will show me as using around 15gb and then everything starts swapping out like crazy).

I have looked all over the internet for an answer to this problem, but I cannot find one. You see, in my setup menu (or rather the BIOS? I don't really know. The thing that you press F2 for after seeing "acer" or "DELL") there is no video options tab. Just, if I remember correctly, "information, Security, Boot, Exit", and one other thing that shows the time, date, and total RAM. I cannot however highlight total RAM or video RAM (I have about 120 MB of VRAM, 4GB of total). So how do I change shared video memory if there is no video tab? I'm looking to boost performance (even if it's only by a little bit) in games. I'm willing to share more PC info, just ask
