View 1 Replieshave a Dell Inspiron N5110 15R laptop. It is i3, having 4 GB of RAM and 500 GB of hard-disk. But when it comes to the Graphics, it has onboard graphics, i.e. Intel HD Graphics 3000. Now I have 2GB of shared video memory but I only have 64MB of Dedicated Video Memory which is, I think, not enough to play games like Battlefield 3 or Call of Duty(s)Now, coming to the question, is there any way I could increase Dedicated Video Memory? I will be happy to donate 1 GB (or 512 MB) more to Dedicated Video Memory.[CODE]

View 1 Replies View RelatedWell I read somewhere that my laptop has a video-card connected to the motherboard so I cant replace it with a better one, and since I don't have the money to buy a new computer all-together I thought maybe someone tech-savey kind person could help me make my current video-card work better. Anyway I recently read somewhere that the main reason why my Video-card is so cr@ppy is becuase it has very low dedicated video ram(128mb to be exact) and I think that is extremely low for a laptop bought in 2009, and there should be a way to raise it. View 4 Replies View RelatedAlright, I'd like to download and play Skyrim, but the website,"Systemsrequirementslab.com" says my dedicated video RAM is too low to play.I know that the website often tells you that you can't run a game if you have hardware it doesn't recognize, but I checked it out and this time it's right.I checked under the Intel Systems InformationCurrent Graphics Memory (In use): 75mbMaximum Graphics Memory: 1760mb1760mb is well over the recomended amount for the game, so I'm not sure how to let my laptop use it
View 9 Replies View RelatedI currently have a dell Inspiron n7010. I checked to see if I could run Diablo III, and found that I lack the Dedicated Video Ram of 256MB. My current dedicated Video Ram is 64MB. My Graphics card is Intel(r) HD Graphics. After reading several sites, it appears that this graphic card is impossible to upgrade, so I was hoping I might be bale to increase the dedicated ram so I could install Diablo III.My apologies if this has been answered previously. I would gladly read the original thread if someone posts a link to it.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI downloaded Skyim from steam a while ago and after it had downloaded I was able to load the game up, however the lag was unbearable. It was simply running too slowly.I tried seeking help in various other places, but after looking in detail trying to see what the problem was I finally discovered that my Dedicated Video RAM was the only thing that was too low. It's a mere 64 MB and I need to try and get it to 512mb if I can.I've seen various people say that your dedicated memory can be increased, other have said that it can't be increased though. Which has left me utterly confused. Here are my System details.Manufacture: Samsung Electronics Rating (Windows Experience Index): 3.3 Processor: Pentium(R) Dual-Core CPU T4400 @ 2.20GHz 2.20GHz Installed memory (RAM): 3.00 GB System type: 32-bit operating systemI'll try give any other necessary information if people let me know what they need/how to get it if the problem can be solved. If not then I guess that means I'd have to purchase a new computer?

Everything is working great in XP. After installing video drivers in windows 7, the wizards asks for restart. When i restart windows 7 hangs just after the "starting windows" logo, just at the welcome screen. It is not random, everytime it freezes at the same point. The system hangs and the display is just horizontal garbage lines and I need to hard reset the CPU. Without the video drivers, windows 7 works fine.
Things I tried:
1. Drivers from Motherboard CD/DVD.
2. Drivers from Gigabyte Website.
3. Drivers from Intel Website.
4. Changed the SATA mode to AHCI/IDE in BIOS. XP wont boot in AHCI.
5. XP shows Intel 2000 processor graphics. CPUZ tool in windows 7 shows Intel 1000-T.
Windows 7.build 7000 update
1) download any Drivers Backup software, like DriverMax which is Free
2) boot your Vista or previous Windows 7 which has working Intel drivers and "Export" your video drivers from your Drivers Backup Software, say DriverMax
3) boot to Windows 7.build 7000 and "Import" your drivers in your Drivers Backup Soft, like DriverMax
I am building a new computer and have all the parts except for my video card (gtx 670 when it comes in stock...). Now, I have heard that I shouldn't do windows updates before installing the drivers for my video card. However, if I go ahead and set everything up except for my video card and let windows update do its thing - will there be any problems for me when I can finally buy my video card and install it?

Randomly (for example: while surfing the internet), on Windows 7, the computer crashes with a screen with blue and grey vertical stripes (or sometimes totally grey or black). Sometimes this screen "hides" a BSoD, sometimes it doesn't. The system crashes only if video drivers are installed. On Ubuntu 11.04 (64-bit) and Windows XP (32bit), even after installing the drivers, there are no crashes. From BlueScreenView, all crashes look identical.
I tried:
- 2 passes of Memtest86+: 0 issues
- Installing Windows 7 and then ONLY the video drivers: CRASH
- Installing XP 32-bit SP2 and the drivers: does not crash
- Using Ubuntu 11.04 64-bit: does not crash
- Uninstalling the drivers: does not crash
- Safe mode: does not crash (obviously)
I began seeing a blue screen about 5 months ago when I first got my computer, and after posting here with one BSOD report, I was informed of the fact that Avast Virus scanning software could be the culprit. After uninstalling the software, I no longer received the problem. 5 months later, the issue has come back. I've recently installed Fraps and Adobe Premiere Pro CS 5.5 on my machine. I saw the BSOD appear once again 2 days ago and it seems to appear while streaming video and installing a game. I also see my machine hard-lock while streaming video from time to time, but I think the BSOD does not officially trigger, so hard-locking is the result.

View 1 Replies View RelatedRecently started having an issue where once windows login screen comes up I can hear beeping coming from my case. Then once I try to login I can hear hard drive try to spin up and system will freeze every time I hear hard drive spin up (every 5-15 seconds) during login. Sometimes this persists, sometimes it goes away within a few minutes and the system runs fine but I can still hear beeping from inside the case. Other times I get either a complete lockup, a BSOD, or the computer restarts itself without any warning.
I don't have any of these issues until I install graphics drivers.
-I've tried testing memory in windows memory diagnostics w/ 4 passes it came back w/ no errors. -I tried a clean install which runs fine until I install graphics drivers(I've tried multiple different versions all have the same issue) -I tried installing a new hard drive but am still having the same issues.
I've tried to listen where the beeping is coming from but I'm having a hard time isolating it. It's fairly short, rapid and somewhat faint.
