Increasing Dedicated Video Memory For Dell Laptop?

have a Dell Inspiron N5110 15R laptop. It is i3, having 4 GB of RAM and 500 GB of hard-disk. But when it comes to the Graphics, it has onboard graphics, i.e. Intel HD Graphics 3000. Now I have 2GB of shared video memory but I only have 64MB of Dedicated Video Memory which is, I think, not enough to play games like Battlefield 3 or Call of Duty(s)Now, coming to the question, is there any way I could increase Dedicated Video Memory? I will be happy to donate 1 GB (or 512 MB) more to Dedicated Video Memory.[CODE]

I want to change my dedicated video memory because in my laptop total available graphic memory is 762MB, but to dedicated video memory just 64 MB and in shared system memory 698MB. like that, maybe I can change the dedicated video memory until 128MB or anything.

just purchased a cpu with windows 7. Wanted to increase virtual memory but didn't know how much I should increase it by. I have 8GB of ram and all that is allocated in virtual memory is 8183MB. I can increase it to 880,474MB didn't know how much I should increase it to? Any suggestions?

Well I read somewhere that my laptop has a video-card connected to the motherboard so I cant replace it with a better one, and since I don't have the money to buy a new computer all-together I thought maybe someone tech-savey kind person could help me make my current video-card work better. Anyway I recently read somewhere that the main reason why my Video-card is so cr@ppy is becuase it has very low dedicated video ram(128mb to be exact) and I think that is extremely low for a laptop bought in 2009, and there should be a way to raise it. Alright, I'd like to download and play Skyrim, but the website,"Systemsrequirementslab.com" says my dedicated video RAM is too low to play.I know that the website often tells you that you can't run a game if you have hardware it doesn't recognize, but I checked it out and this time it's right.I checked under the Intel Systems InformationCurrent Graphics Memory (In use): 75mbMaximum Graphics Memory: 1760mb1760mb is well over the recomended amount for the game, so I'm not sure how to let my laptop use it

I currently have a dell Inspiron n7010. I checked to see if I could run Diablo III, and found that I lack the Dedicated Video Ram of 256MB. My current dedicated Video Ram is 64MB. My Graphics card is Intel(r) HD Graphics. After reading several sites, it appears that this graphic card is impossible to upgrade, so I was hoping I might be bale to increase the dedicated ram so I could install Diablo III.My apologies if this has been answered previously. I've upgraded my PC and reinstalled the OS; spec shown below. The only difference is that now, my OS is on an SSD drive (OCZ Petrol).However, I note that my memory usage is constantly increasing; even with only background apps running, I was up to 7GB. When I check Task Manager, I see that the "System" process's "Handles" count is constantly increasing. As I speak, it's almost at 1,000,000; last night I saw it get up to 4,000,000.

I downloaded Skyim from steam a while ago and after it had downloaded I was able to load the game up, however the lag was unbearable. It was simply running too slowly.I tried seeking help in various other places, but after looking in detail trying to see what the problem was I finally discovered that my Dedicated Video RAM was the only thing that was too low. It's a mere 64 MB and I need to try and get it to 512mb if I can.I've seen various people say that your dedicated memory can be increased, other have said that it can't be increased though. My laptop has increasing updates when I switch it on. It started at update 1 of 1 and is now at update 1 of 66. Which means it can take forever to start. I don't understand why this is increasing all the time? And I can't find any similar queries on any support sites? Is it possible this is a virus? I have AVG free anti-virus software and the computer scan is coming out clear. Even in Safe mode.

i am having a problem with my memory getting tied up / used up and not being able to access it again until i reboot.
machine: dell xps studio 8100
os: win 7,
processor: i7 2.8
ram: 16gb (max it will take)
video: ati radeon 5700 (running 3 monitors)
versions: as far as i know i am running current versions of everything, including video drivers, flash, chrome, etc. (i've tried running chrome with both the build in version of flash and the system version -haven't seen a difference)
browser: i nearly exclusively run chrome / canary with auto-updates so am at the latest builds.what seems to cause me to use up / run out of memory is after i play videos (Internet, netflix, etc.), the memory seems to get used, but is not returned to the system, even if the browser is closed and re-opened.right now for example things are working fine; i rebooted my system a couple hours ago (but have not played any videos). i have adobe lightroom running, picasa, chrome and canary (currently 4 web browser windows open with 52 tabs open). task manager currently shows me using 8.20gb of ram, that seems pretty reasonable to me.
normally my system will keep running properly (if a program is closed, memory is freed up) right up until i start to play any videos (Internet, netflix, etc.) then it will start using up more memory. (of course i expect it to use more memory during playback) however, even if i restart the browser, the memory does not get freed back up. for example, just prior to the reboot, with everything closed, i was using right around 8gb of ram. once i rebooted, i was using 1.something gb of ram prior to opening any programs.however, once i start playing some videos, i never seem to be able to get my ram freed back up again unless i reboot the whole system. this is not just a problem with how much memory the system shows as being available, i frequently actually run out of memory. (task manager will show me as using around 15gb and then everything starts swapping out like crazy).

why my 64 bit laptop keeps "locking up". It becomes totally unresponsive, on the majority of occasions it is necessary to press the power button for 6 seconds to switch it off. The problems only started occuring after I upgraded the memory from 4Gb (2 x 2) to 8Gb (2 x 4) supplied by crucial. I have ran the windows memory diagnostic program and memtest86, both of which detected no problems. If I re-install the original memory there is no issues. The symptoms are telling me that the memory is failing however the diagnostic testing indicates otherwise.

I have looked all over the internet for an answer to this problem, but I cannot find one. You see, in my setup menu (or rather the BIOS? I don't really know. The thing that you press F2 for after seeing "acer" or "DELL") there is no video options tab. Just, if I remember correctly, "information, Security, Boot, Exit", and one other thing that shows the time, date, and total RAM. I cannot however highlight total RAM or video RAM (I have about 120 MB of VRAM, 4GB of total). So how do I change shared video memory if there is no video tab? I'm looking to boost performance (even if it's only by a little bit) in games. I'm willing to share more PC info, just ask

i have a problem with my laptop...
i just upgraded from vista 64 bit home prenium to windows 7 ultimate 64 bit built 7057.
after the upgrade my virtual video memory went to 0 MB
my aptop has Intel graphics Media accelerator 4500MHD with uo to 1759MB
.. when i used vista the adapter information was like these:
Total Avaible Graphics Memory : 1759 MB
Dedicated Video Memory: 64 MB
System Video Memory : 64 MB
Shared Video Memory : 1631 MB
and now with windows 7 the adapter information is like these:
Total Avaible Graphics Memory : 1695 MB
Dedicated Video Memory: 64 MB
System Video Memory : 0 MB
Shared Video Memory : 1631 MB
do u have any idea how to restore system vedeo memory back to 64 MB .
