View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a small problem at work with my new printer. I have 11 computers in a classroom, the printer is connected to the teacher's computer (mine, named DELL00). However, I am unable to add the printer on any other computer in classroom, usually with error 0x00000002
All computers have admin account named Teacher, and all except the Teacher's computer have one standard account named Student. Adding the printer on admin account went without single problem on every computer, but the pinter does not show on the Student account. When I try to add the printer from Student account, I get error 0x00000002
I am adding the printer through Devices & Printers -> Add Printer -> Network Printer -> Not in list -> \DELL00LaserJet-P1102. This method worked on the admin account without problem,s but not on the student account.
I am unable to connect my computer with a Network printer in my organization. I am running Windows 7 Home Premium-64bit on my laptop. The problem here is, when I try to add a new printer as:Devices and Printers> Add a Printer> Add a network, wireless or Bluetooth printer. The wizard searches for a few seconds than my LAN automatically gets disconnected. The other way round I've also tried to manually add the printer but it didn't work. It gives the error "Cannot Connect to Printer. Error 0x0000007e" The printer in Network is RICOH Aficio 8001 PCL6.I've tried to contact my IST department but they are saying that we are also unable to connect it with 64-bit operating system.

View 3 Replies View RelatedWe have an ASUS Zenbook U31F. We like it, but may have to return it because we cannot get it to print to our network printer on our HomeGroup. We have a Dell Studio 17 that prints to this computer with no problem. When we attempt to print to the printer (HP OfficeJet 6100 Series), the ASUS computer downloads a driver from the server and then issues the message "Operation failed with error 0x000003e3."
1) Updating the HP printer driver.I cannot do this. Windows reports that the printer driver is included in Windows 7 and I do not need to update it (and I cannot update it - the OS will not allow me to.)
2) Attaching the printer directly to the ASUS ZenBook ASUS ZenBook can print to the HP OfficeJet 6100 if it directly connected with a USB cable. This is not an acceptable solution: my wife needs to use the printer from anywhere in the house.
3) Registry Hack.I read about a registry hack to fool Windows into thinking that the printer is already connected. I did this and the printer appears in the Devices and Printer applet. Unfortunately, the first time I attempt to use the printer, the ASUS ZenBook downloads the printer driver and fails again.
ASUS and Best Buy have been completely useless. ASUS points the finger (I am not sure which finger) to HP. Best Buy wants me to pay an additional $70 for a support contract to get the computer that I bought from them to work. The server is a home-built gaming system built on a Gigabyte motherboard - Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit, SP1, 6GB RAM, Intel i7 920 @ 2.66 GHz.The laptop is an ASUS ZenBook U31F running Windows 7 Pro 64 bit.
I have a Desktop computer with Windows 7 (32 bit) and a laptop with Windows 7 (64 bit). I'm trying to set up a network printer, so I can print from my laptop using my desktop computeer printer. I've set up my wireless computer which uses Windows Xp just fine, and can print from that computer. But when I try to add a network printer on my laptop, as it's finishing installation, an error message pops up saying "cannot connect to printer" error code 0x0000000d. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Is it possible to set up a 64 bit with a 32 bit computer?

View 1 Replies View RelatedAnd also complicated, 'cos not even my CISCO Network teacher has been able to give me a solution. I think I need some smart people here The thing is that I can't share my printer (connected by USB to my PC) with my laptop on another room, over the local network (in Windows 7 the name is Home Group). The printer model is not relevant because time ago I was able to do what I'm trying now.All my configurations are OK, at least the basic ones, because there's definetely something wrong with my PC, and here's why: if I take my laptop and put it next to the printer and connect it to it (by the same USB cable), I can access the printer with my PC, while it's been shared by the laptop. That proves that the internal network is fine. Also, all the configurations of the printer and also of the home group are literally same in both PCs, the big one and the laptop.
Both PCs run Windows 7. I have tried this, Connect to printer error - Microsoft Windows Vista Community Forums - Vistaheads, but it didn't work. The printer is also properly installed on my PC, it is not a driver problem or something like that.My AV is ESET ESSBE 4, but I don't think it's related, because I have tried deactivating its firewall, and also, on the laptop the AV is the same and theprinter did work. The services are also equal in both PC's now. I have even tried changing the network adaptor on my PC (from Ethernet to Wifi). Nothing.I recently had problems with the home group, but they are solved by now. I guess the source of the problems is the same, but I don't know where else to look.
I have just installed a new printer hp laserjet P2055d and its not printing its giving PCL XL error.

I've tried installing Microsoft's hotfix (982728), installing locally on LPT2 and running 'net use LPT2 \Computernamesharedprintername /persistent:yes', updating the driver. None of these worked.
