I am unable to connect my computer with a Network printer in my organization. I am running Windows 7 Home Premium-64bit on my laptop. The problem here is, when I try to add a new printer as:Devices and Printers> Add a Printer> Add a network, wireless or Bluetooth printer.The wizard searches for a few seconds than my LAN automatically gets disconnected.The other way round I've also tried to manually add the printer but it didn't work. It gives the error "Cannot Connect to Printer. Error 0x0000007e" The printer in Network is RICOH Aficio 8001 PCL6.I've tried to contact my IST department but they are saying that we are also unable to connect it with 64-bit operating system.
I have a Dell laptop with Windows 7 Ultimate. While trying to add a network printer (HP LaserJet 4250n) I got the following error message: Windows cannot connect to the printer. Operation failed with error 0x0000007e.
The printer works fine from my Windows 7 Pro desktop, and also from other laptops with Windows 7 Ultimate.
I've tried installing Microsoft's hotfix (982728), installing locally on LPT2 and running 'net use LPT2 \Computernamesharedprintername /persistent:yes', updating the driver. None of these worked.
I have 2 computers on my home network. My desktop is running Windows 7 ultimate 32 bit and I have a kodak 5500 Aio connected to it. I also have a laptop that's running windows 7 home premium 64 bit that connects wireless. I was able to print until today and now I can't print from the laptop. After I removed an iPod from my laptop I never had installed before I got the BSOD after I restarted the computer. The message stated "Windows failed to start a recent hardware or software change may be the cause". I have tried startup repair from the OEM disc and have had no luck after 5 or more tries. I can boot into safe mode fine and connect to the internet. It will not start normally. The two options you get are start normally or launch startup repair and both of these fail when attempting. It always shows the error code 0x0000007e but some of the code in the parathensis change each time I boot the computer.
Since I update my nvidia graphic card driver to the last ver 296.10 i got a BSOD 0X0000007e, every time I turn my screen on (I don't have sleep mode or hibernate mode or screensaver active). As long as I using the computer everything fine, but if I don't using the computer for several hours and move the mouse to turn on the display I get this error.

I have two computers I want to connect to a network printer. The printer is a Konica Minolta. When I try to connect it to these computers I get:windows cannot connect to the printer operation failed with error 0x00000002 Both computers are windows 7 and previously were connected to the printer. I had to reinstall the OS on both machines thus the reason Im reconnecting the printer to them. The computers are attached to our domain. Other computers in the office are able to connect to and use this printer.
I am on a dell XPS laptop and trying to print to the network printer in my office. I can install everyother printer on the network but the main one. Add Printer finds the one I want and tries to install it but then give be a "Windows cannot connect to the printer, Operation failed with error 0x00000057" I have downloaded and installed the driver from the Toshiba website for an e-Studio 450 and copied that driver folder into the "FileRepository" folder but that didn't seem to work either.
2 days ago after I closed off my laptop lid, my laptop went into hibernation mode. After that, the laptop is having some trouble trying to wake up. I remembered I saw an error message saying something like "Windows has failed to wake up from hibernation". So I have no other choices but to restart. Ever since then, I start to get an error.
I can't get into Windows. Everytime I try, I will be presented with the blue screen of death. I tried booting in safe mode but in vain. I will get stucked at Classpnp.sys[URL]. I am using Windows 7 64 bit, Core i7, 8GB Ram, 2GB Graphics
Firstly, my apologies that I am making a thread as a first post, I hate to do it but am pulling my hair out at the moment.After reading through the BSOD posting instructions I have a small issue. As I cannot get further than just before the windows logo appears due to this BSOD, I cannot (that I know of) post a crash dump of the issue.I am currently attempting to build a crash repair DVD from my laptop, but am also looking at using the USB method.
I have no dump files because the comp crashes almost immediately upon reaching the boot screen, and I don't know how to access them without windows explorer. So, I wrote down as much info as I could. I've tried startup repair multiple times, and I've tried system restore, neither work. Startup repair shows that all system tests are successful up to the System File Integrity Check and Repair, then it fails and gives:Error code 0x490 Unknown bugcheck: Bugcheck 7E. 0x0000007E (0xFFFFFFFFC0000005, followed by 3 other random ones each time.)System Restore gives error 0x80070067When startup repair fails, and the option to send data appears, the following problem info is shown.
I bought a new wireless Epson Workforce 545 printer. It has worked without flow for quite some time (nearly a year). Now all the suddenly it wont print.I have it as a shared printer. There are three other family members on the network and all three others print without any problem. Mine worked fine and now wont print. It goes through the motions and then times out. All it says is "printer error".
Originally, i had one network running under a Dir-665 router where all the computers under that could connect to the printer (HPPrintPC) on the computer (which is connected to the router.After moving to uverse, i have two networks, the one above and now the 2wire network due to uverse.The computer with the printer is connected to the 2wire network, and all the other computers are connected to the Dir-655 network. The computers on the Dir-655 Network can't connect to the printer on the 2wire network but can ping the computer it is connected to.
I just upgraded all of my computers to Windows 7 Professional and Office 2010 Professional Plus, and they're all running great. Much faster than the previous configuration, Windows XP Professional SP3 w/Office 2003 Standard. I'm using one computer to store all of the file backups and share the printer, a Dell Photo AIO 924. Everything's working fine, except for the printer. The printer prints from the computer its directly connected to, and I have it shared. However, when I try to connect other computers to it, I get an unable to connect to printer error with code 0x06. I checked a couple of things, Print Spooler service is running, network passwords are disabled, and all computers are in the same workgroup. I've gotten this to work before, but that was a while ago when I was running Windows 7 Enterprise trial on the same computer, everything worked great
I bought a HP LASER JET 1007. which is a USB 2.0 printer. i have two pc both are connected via a switch. There has a modem connected also in the switch which have a usb and a ethernet port. ethernet port is used to connect the modem to switch.. That means in my network i have 2pc and a modem connected. is there has any procedure to connect my printer to this network. I dont want to connect the printer in a pc, cz to access the printer i have to power on the pc always.
I need to connect a printer via crossover cable to a Windows 7/64 laptop. The printer has a USB port, but it is defective. I created a xover cable. How do I set up this printer (HP Deskjet 6940) using the xover cable connected to the ethernet port on the laptop?I found this thread, but as the last post indicates, it lacks the details needed to do the job. Installing printer via Ethernet Cable I connected the printer to the laptop with the xover cable, ran through the printer wizard to install the HP6940 drivers as per the Windows 7 printer installation routine, but nothing will print. I tried the MS FixIt routine and still no printing. All I see is an error - printing for this printer when I open up active printers.
I have installed a wireless Epson Workforce 610 printer (it is fast!) but if it is not turned on when I boot I get a notification message "Could not reconnect all network drives".Is there a setting which will prevent this from displaying? One other computer which has the same drivers does not show this message, so it is puzzling.I disabled all the Epson drivers in Startup but that did not help.
I had my computer at my home, connected to my home network. I moved to a Corporate apartment, which has a different network, and now I can't print to my printer, which I brought with me. I did set the new network as my 'home' network, and folowed instructions, but it does not seem to be working.

I have a Kodak Hero 3.1 connected to my Motorola Surfboard SBG8560 modem/wireless router. It connects fine and I can find the printer and even print hen my computer is connected to Ethernet but not when I switch over to wifi. This is on a computer running windows 8 rp but I know the os is not to blame because it is not found by my roommates mac on wifi or my other roommates windows xp machine. i figure it must be a router setting that i am missing. I've got two Vista Ultimate computers. Both have the same username and password. Same workgroup name.
Password protected sharing is enabled on both. I shared a folder on computer 1, and added Everyone to the security tab, with full control.
When i try to map the folder from computer 2, I can see computer 1 listed. But when I click on the + next to it, it asks for a username and password (which I did not expect to be necessary since they are both the same user account and password) and when I enter it it says Logon Unsuccessful.
I have a local network and the printer connects to a wireless router using a USB cable, I am about to get a wireless printer. My Lap Top connects to the internet wireless throu the Router when I bring the Wireless Printer will I need to connect to the printer thru the Router or directly to the printer
I just installed Win 7 home premium. When I go to my printer which is on the wireless network, I can print with no problems. When I try to scan I go to HP Solution center to scan and it I get a message that my device is not connected. I then reinstalled all the Win 7 drivers for the HP C7280 all in one printer and when I go to connect to the printer device, I get the error message that it can not connect to the printer. The printer did show up. I also disabled the norton firewall.
I download the software for my Brother printer for installation. When I Run the installation till "Now plug in the printer with USP port and turn on the printer", nothing shows just like the printer did not plug in.
