View 9 Replies View RelatedWhen I get the login screen, I just see the buffer LED glowing for 1 minute. Then it calms down. Then after logging in, the buffer LED keeps glowing for 5 minutes and my computer is terribly slow. If I do nothing through all this operation and just wait, all will be okay. So usually I can use my laptop after 8 minutes from turning it on.On the other hand, if i directly start opening applications before the buffer LED turns off (sometime only firefox), I directly get the bsod. I didn't record the error code down but I am trying to replicate the issue and when I get the screen I will update this post.

Well I will get right to it. Its a desktop I built about 4 mths ago. I was goofing off all day, ran perfect. I got my package from Tiger.com, yay new memory. I also bought a drawing tablet that came w/ photoshop ele 8 and artrage. I promptly shut down my system, installed the new stick of matching memory, Corsair DDR3 4g 1600mhz, in slot two and four, with the old stick. I was only running one stick due to an order error. I reboot. The system recognizes it, runs fine. I install photoshop ele 8 and art rage along with an update to java. So far no problems. I turn the system off to plug in the drawing tablet per the instructions it came with. When it goes to reboot, i get to the windows loading screen, the animation just starts to load when i get a flash BSOD then the moniter shuts off to no signal and the computer just sits there fans and all running. I am using Win 7 home premium 64. I can get into BIOS. I have run the launch repair. I have tried putting the memory back to the previous configuration. I have run the memory diagnostic tool. I have tried system restore but no points to restore. I have tried to repair install with Windows disc, says disc is incompatible with current version, its the same disc i used to install windows the first time. I have tried to reinstall windows twice, still does it. I have attempted to make a repair disc, didnt work. If you can tell me how to get dump files from this state i would be happy to do so. If it helps at all i am using an SSD as my main hard disk, i have a second drive but there is nothing on it atm. I am just at a loss, i know a good bit about computers but not far enough, lol. My desktop is my baby and i really wanna get it up and running again.

The computer and its parts are all relatively new, some parts up to a year old. All drivers are up to date, as far as im aware. I think the bsod code was something lik 0x000000124. Any idea what caused it ? Driver or hardware related?
View 2 Replies View Relatedwhile I was on wireless, which I think the problem might originate from, I had 3 BSODs within a span of 30 minutes. Two of the BSODs were linked to opening Netflix on Firefox and the other was caused by opening a Flash app on Chrome. If I recall correctly, the last BSOD error was something akin to Driver not less or equal? Regarding the dump files, when I went to double check that a dump file was created upon BSOD, I noticed that the option to have it overwrite was checked, so I'm not sure if the previous two BSOD dump files were recorded. Some of my previous older BSODs (which the issue was solved) were included in the folder, I believe, since the program just captured everything in the minidump folder.

I've recently built a new PC, it's my first build and I've managed to solve most problems that have occurred but I'm stuck on this one. It will load games fine if i load them straight from turning on the PC but if i run it for a while then load a game it resets itself, and doesn't leave and mini/memory dumps. The system runs fine normally and even with some old games but if i load a new game such as civilization 5 on steam or try running examples in UDK it resets.

At first i thought it was overheating but I've checked and the CPU and graphics card don't reach anywhere near a hot temperature before it crashes. I've also taken it to a local computer repair shop and the tests they ran all passed (i don't know what the tests they ran are but i'm going to call them tomorrow and find out / tell them it still crashes)
The blue screen seem to accour when trying to load a Cubase (music production program) file, randomly. Can work for hours without anything happening.Can someone plz tell me what file it's pointing to? Or if its hardware related.So far I only get blue screens when my firewire sound card is connected and I'm running Cubase. But I don't wanna blame the sound card - it's too expensive for that Before reinstalling windows last BSOD was pointing related to OrangeWare Corp. (usbehci.sys) - I have NO idia what this file is.Could it be my PSU? 2 years old 560w Hiper - Supposed to be high quiality.Should I run my memory using bios XMP profile? Tried it once, but the cpu got hotter so i disabled it.
View 5 Replies View RelatedWindows boots fine and loads the log-in screen, but usually seconds after starting to load the desktop, she gets a BSOD and the system restarts. The errors alternate between 0x000000E, 0x000000 50 and 0x000000A from what I've observed. Performance Monitor won't generate a report, giving the error "The system cannot find the path specified." I don't know how to correct for that.

During a recent windows update my pc froze, (mid-update) and I restarted my machine. Now windows gets stuck at the black" Loading operating system..."screen. After a long wait it will eventually display boot from cd/. When I boot from my windows dvd my os is not shown in system recovery. I Have also tried running start up repair from recovery with no luck.

I did test these sites on my iPhone with no problems though. There are a handful of other sites that do open but do not load properly [missing images, ect.] I also thought that it might be malware but I installed & scanned my computer with four different programs which did not solve the problem. I'm guessing that it still may be some problem on the software side with settings but I can't seem to figure out where to look. BTW, I've been using Microsoft Security Essentials as my antivirus program for the past couple of days now. Prior to that I was using Avira but it seemed to be giving me problems so I uninstalled it and installed the Microsoft app.
View 8 Replies View RelatedUntil yesterday I had two different versions of Windows installed on two different hard drives, one on C: and one on E:. Yesterday I decided to remove the one on E: and started using CCleaner to just wipe the drive clean. I stopped in the middle and decided to format the disk instead because it was going to take a few hours using CCleaner's wipe. But by then Windows was having trouble with that drive and although it was detected, I couldn't format it or do anything to it for that matter.So I downloaded a copy of Natty and running it from the disk, I was going to try formatting it from there, but it was not detecting that drive. Fine. I understand there is a way to mount the drive and I just have to figure that out.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have read a lot on this getting stuck. I had an issue with it getting stuck, so I had HP to send me the recovery disks and I backed everything up and did a clean install. It did its thing and now it is at the Windows is loading files screen. Bad news is, it has been on this screen since last night at around 8:00 (12 hrs), Good news is, it has been moving. I put a sticky note on the progress bar, even this morning it has moved about a half an inch. Should I be worried or just patient? It said it may take up to 3 hours and it has been 12 hours.

The problem used to come and go but it annoyed me so I gave my laptop to lenovo customer care service. They advised me to restore my OS and I did the same but to no avail. The problem still persisted. Then I went again to a different lenovo customer service and they updated my BIOS and tweaked it. It worked good for about 12 hours or so.

I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit.It was working fine yesterday but sometime this morning it started hanging up. Basically what happens is the username screen comes on, I click the user, then it makes the little chime.I can see the recycle bin, I can access the start menu but I can't do anything after that. My network connection icon in the task bar freezes for about 3-4 minutes.During that time I'm unable to open any program until it connects. After that, everything works fine.All I've installed today was a windows update, an updated driver for my Networking card, and GWFL client. I was overclocking my CPU also, but since I'm troubleshooting this, I rolled it back to the default settings.I've uninstalled GFWL, and I've rolled back to the previous drivers and it still does this.

I also followed some tips to system restore and what not in Safe Mode but that still doesn't work. I'm currently typing this problem in Safe mode with Network but that's the thing.I'm able to load into Windows but not in a normal way.I'm having a suspicion that my HD cache might have messed up. View 3 Replies View RelatedI have noticed this problem across a variety of computers that are as old as 10 years and as new as 1 month old. Also the same happens on XP machines and Windows 7 machines. I don't recall seeing this before. It just happened in the last 6 months or so (I think). Anyways, I start the computer, log on to an user account and the startup programs start to load. It is at this point that a message appears that states that the firewall is turned off. It usually last for 10 to 20 seconds and then the firewall is turned on again. It does not happen every time I start the computer (just once a day or so). Shouldn't the firewall be the first thing to load or is there a delay with a warning message?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm in the Midwest and thunderstorms are quite common out in this area. To protect my computer from power surges, I turn off BOTH my computer and the power supply. Then I unplug the surge protector from the socket which the computer and other peripherals are attached to. However, this morning when I plugged back the surge protector, turned on the PSU and then computer, Windows gave me a message the there was no virtual disk and then it went to a blank screen and got stuck there.
