I got a new Motorola Droid and have set it up to receive my emails (it was done at the Verizon store) Ever since then, the emails are streaming straight through to my phone and not accessible on my laptop. I have gone into the account options and checked "save a copy of email on server until deleted from inbox", but I still cannot access any of my emails on my laptop.

I was recieving the emails yesterday to my inbox, but when I logged on the computer to check them today there was none in the inbox, and I know for a fact that there would definately be something in my inbox today because I get notification sent to my inbox when someone replys to me on other sites.

I am considering reistalling windows mail but don't really know what I'm doing so am reluctant to do this if there is another solution - this may not fix anyway and would I loose all my emails currently in my inbox?

Now for some reason the Will NOT DELETE. we have tried everything from drag and drop to move to folder and setting the filters so it would move then to the junk folder and nothing works. i have gone through windows KB and vista help and support and found nothing that worked. i have searched everywhere but can't seem to find anything that might help.

Perhaps I have accidently deleted them when attempting to move all of them at once to a new folder? If so is there any way I can recover them as they are not in my deleted items folder? View 5 Replies View RelatedVista Home Premium, began getting message that c:users(user name)AppDataRoaming is corrupt and unreadable. Used Dell online technical support. They copied all the files under the username to a backup location, created a new username, and then copied the files back in. Basically copied the directory C:users(user name) to C:users(user name2). Then deleted the user name that wasn't working in the control panel. Looks great except all my wife's emails are now gone - and she had multiple folders with emails stored in them and thousands of deleted emails she referred to. Mad as a hornet!
Is there any way of recovering the deleted email files and then getting them back into Mail? I am trying Pareto Logic Data Recovery Program to search for the directory that was deleted that stores the emails C:users(user name)AppDataLocalMicrosoftWindows MailLocal Folders. So far it is only finding folders with (user name2).I realize now I should have exported all the mail to a backup file before deleting the username, but the tech guy didn't tell me to do that before we deleted the old user name.
i accidently deleted folders that were part of the junk mail folder. where do these deleted junk mails go and how can i recover them?
View 7 Replies View Relatedmy emails would get marked as read or automatically move to the deleted folder when deleted. Instead, they remain BOLD black until I exit the inbox THEN return. At that point, the messages are either marked as read or have been deleted. It is weird nothing was changed by me! The box "Mark as read" is set to 0 seconds and that never changed. It's annoying to have to click on EVERY message in order to get it read and then delete what I want, move to the next message, delete it, etc.......exit the folder, then return to it for the messages to be corrected.

After years of slogging along with an age old laptop (Windows XP and MS Office xp Professional) I bought two new computers running Vista Home Premium and one (Asus netbook) running XP. Result: netbook can use the same Outlook settings as previously, but the other two, using the same XP settings will let me send Emails (to myself and elsewhere) but the Vista machines absolutely refuse to send mails to anywhere.
