Can Receive But Not Send Emails [SMTP] Server
			Apr 19, 2010
When I try to send an email the below message comes up (please do not suggest checking the authentication setting as I have tried almost anything to get it to work). The message could not be sent. The authentication setting might not be correct for your outgoing e-mail [SMTP] server. For help solving this problem, go to Help, search for "Troubleshoot Windows Mail", and read the "I'm having problems sending e-mail" section. If you need help determining the proper server settings, please contact your e-mail service provider.
The rejected e-mail address was 'jessie.XXXXX@XXXX.com'. Subject 'a', Account: 'mail.tcpi.eu', Server: 'mail.tcpi.eu', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '451 Dynamic IP Addresses See:', Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 451, Error Number: 0x800CCC79

setting up windows mail on new hard drive and can't seem to figure out how to get it right. I am using a live.com email adress. I have already tried getting rid of antivirus stuff and fiddling around with security things. When i click send/receive mail it goes through and tells me i have no new emails which i know isn't true, i have 10 sitting online. I emailed myself and got a new email online so i know i can send them. When i click pop3.live.com under the send/recieve all button it gives me this error: The connection to the server has failed. Account: 'pop3.live.com', Server: 'pop3.live.com', Protocol: POP3, Port: 587, Secure(SSL): Yes, Socket Error: 10060, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E

This infuriating situation occurred exactly one month after receiving the new computer with Vista Home Premium already installed. My old computer is connected as a small network. When the problem initially occurred on 7th June it said "Receiving 1 of 8" but never did and after a while (1/2 to 1 hr?) I logged off and logged on again but to no avail. I thought maybe a big photo or something was coming in but nothing eventuated. I accessed my email via Optus Web Mail and saw that there was nothing there bigger than 493KB. The main error message I receive is - Account: 'mail.optusnet.com.au', Server: 'mail.optusnet.com.au', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Error Number: 0x800CCC19
I have telephoned Optus (Australia) 5 times but they insist it is a Windows Mail corruption problem. No one was able to tell me what this error message actually means. Another issue that may also be connected was when I downloaded a trial version of a home video editing programme. It cut the 30 day trial by about 8 days, finishing on June 1st. June the first I thought? Why June 1st? I asked on the forum but they could not explain why.

I have a vista computer that has it's own email. My provider is MSN and I bought an email service. I have directions from all three on how to set up pop3 on outlook. None of them will complete without errors and I can't send or receive emails in outlook. I realize I have to have correct user and passwords and those I have. There are different incoming and outgoing directions for all three.

I just set up my Windows Vista Mail so it retrieves the emails from our website. Previously I was using the webmail. I did it all with the help of Fasthosts Support over the phone and it downloaded 14 messages fine.
But since then when I Send/ Receive All it gives this message:
The connection to the server has failed. Subject 'Fasthost windows mail
info', Account: 'mail.concrete-publishing.com', Server:
'smtp.fasthosts.co.uk', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No,
Socket Error: 10060, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E
Fasthosts say it may have to do with McAfee firewall? I'm reluctant to
shut it down because it opens me to bad stuff should I continue using
the Fasthosts Webmail and forget about Windows?
