Trying To Find My Browser / Can Change Setting To Show Pictures
May 25, 2004I am trying to find my browser so i can change the setting to show pictures so i can sign in on msn games. How do I do this?

Where To Find Setting For Documents And Setting
Oct 5, 2008I just finished a complete reinstall of Windows XP. Before the re-installation, I partitioned the hard drive. I want the basic Windows XP system files and drivers on my "C" drive and then I want to accumulate data files (word processing, spreadsheets, photos, music files, etc.) on the new partition which in this case has been labeled the "G" drive. The difficulty I am having is getting getting the "Documents and Settings" to move over to the "G" drive. So that when I want to load photographs from my camera to the computer it goes for C:Documents and SettingsMy NameMy DocumentsMy Pictures. Instead I would like it to go to G:Documents and SettingsMy NameMy DocumentsMy Pictures. Using Windows Explorer I changed the file name of "My Documents" to 'Windows XP old path My Documents" and then I was going to set up a new path to the "G" drive through Control Panel>Administrative Tools>Computer Managment>Disk Management.
However I noticed that when I clicked on Start in the bottom left hand corner and it puts up that little window that "My Documents" which was listed now had the new title 'Windows XP old path My Documents' which I believe means I haven't gotten to the proper place to change the main configuration for Documents and Settings. Long way of saying how do I change the basic configuration for where Document and Settings are stored to a new location.
Box Dosen't Show When I Put In Music/pictures
Jun 28, 2006I used to always get a little box asking what I wanted to do when I put in either a music or picture cd.....the box has things such as copy pictures to computer, start a slide show, etc.....I insert the cd and there is no box....? I highlight the drive....( H, my plug in drive with all my pictures and cd's) and go to file, properties, auto play and the box that usually shows is there....now, how do I get that box to pop up on my screen whenever I insert a cd??????? the music and picture cd works...I hear music and see pictures, I would just like this box to appear and ask me what I want to do.

But Computer #1 is Media Center Edition. Neither computer is password protected.When move PICTURES I then cannot view, move, copy or delete them. When moved/copied from camera, they are OK until I move them again. (Probably the same for non picture files.)When open a file from one computer on network, often cannot open it from a different computer - either way.

Feb 4, 2007I installed a new software, Volkswagen ETKA 7 from Germany. After installing, it appears as if it took away my administrators privileges. I cannot right click, all of my autocomplete fileds are gone including passwords, IE7 will not let me change any setting, lost my favorites, lost my icons for OE and many others. This is just the tip of the iceberg. I am still logged in as system administartor, but I do not have all of the priveleges I should. I just noticed the Content Advisor in IE7 is greyed out. Someone knows how to fix this. Please help. I have since uninstalled the VW ETKA7 software.

Oct 24, 2009When I try to change it to Firefox or any other browser, I try it 2 ways, one, by going to Start> set Program access anf defaults, and the other way by clicking the browser I want and when it says "Firefox is not your default, would you like to makeit so" I click yes andit seems to act like it is changing my browser, but then when I try to go to a site it keeps opening it with Avant. I never had this problem when I used only IE and wanted to change my default to Firefox. It always worked then but since I loaded Avant and started using it I can't get back to my other browsers. I also tried using Tools> Internet options> programs> and clicking on "make IE default browser and that did change it to IE but I couldn't get back to FF as default browser.

When i switched back to Fire Fox the links in my tool bar give me a diff address then normal. Before the switch to Opera then back to FF I would click a link and it would just go to that page. I need to put them in a sequence so I right clicked each picture and re-named it as follows: 001jpg, 002jpg and so on for 100 pictures. In view, I selected arrange icons by modified and all the pictures moved to the sequence I wanted. All is well and good until I copied the folder to a CD. All the pictures reverted to their original sequence instead of the sequence I put them in.

Browser Opening Causes All Other Browser Windows
Aug 24, 2005I am half way computer literate, but this one has me. I am hoping someone can tell me where to look. When I open Internet Explorer, my home page (www.google.com) opens.When it is finished loading, it automatically redirets to yahoo mail login page. The catch is, all my browsers windows that are open will be changed too. If I hit "stop" before the page is loaded, then hit "refresh", this action does not occur. I have Microsoft updates automatically downloade do my computer. I have the latest MacAfee anti-virus on my computer and have run the latest scan. I have run Microsoft beta spy-ware, ad aware and yahoo's version. I am not seeing anything.
