I do alot of image work so i have alot of images... when i go to save an image in the my pictures folder, it does not show up. so i think, i go into windows explorer to the my pictures folder and only some of them show up.

View 2 Replies View RelatedThis is only on files on Acer (as far as I know) = Computer #1 where all data is stored for the three computers on a peer to peer network. All are Windows XP SP2 fully updated. But Computer #1 is Media Center Edition. Neither computer is password protected.When move PICTURES I then cannot view, move, copy or delete them. When moved/copied from camera, they are OK until I move them again. (Probably the same for non picture files.)When open a file from one computer on network, often cannot open it from a different computer - either way.
View 2 Replies View RelatedA while back I had a program or a tweak that enabled me to change/add to the list on the left side of the window that opens when you want to save or save as. So, if I was saving a photo, instead of clicking on My Documents >> My Pictures, I was able to just click on My Pictures, ect. (See Photo) Does anyone know of a tweak/program that would allow me to do this?

The download goes ahead, but at the point of writing the file to my local hard disk, I get the following error message, then the file is deleted!!!"Windows Security Warning Windows found that this file is potentially harmful.To help protect your computer, Windows has blocked access to this file."I wouldn't mind, but I haven't changed anything that would have enforced this, can't find any way of disabling / configuring this functionality and I trust the file and its source (a good example is the Grisoft AVG Anti-Virus software downloads!)

(It was before the format).I have typed in "Export Pictures from CD to My Pictures folder" without the quotes and I get a list of links pertaining to CD recording errors and other things like that. I did right click on a picture in Drive E (my CD-RW) just to see what would come up and I noticed that on the Send To menu that these pictures can be sent to the desktop.
View 2 Replies View Relatedi got hit by some virus(trojan i think ) and try to run norton but notron cannot clean some suspect file. it show error opening (Access denied)[4] or error opening (folder locked)[4]after running norton i found that 'folder options' from Tools command is disappear i download and repaire registary as kiwiguy suggest.Read the heading as to how to apply these Registry "fixes", and then scroll down to number 129 and click on it to download the registry script to correct this problem. now i can see 'folder options' but cannot find 'show hidden file and folder' check box.

I told him to right click and save as whatever he wanted to call it. Well when he goes to My Pictures, there it is but there is nothing underneath it describing what it is. He has to put his cursor over it in order to find out what it is. Mine is not like that at all. It has the file name underneath it. What am I telling him to do wrong?

1. I cannot find the internet option tab anymore. It is not anywhere.
2. Right clicks are not working. I cannot save pictures or add any favorites when I right click.
3. Cannot print from most websites.
4. I cannot activate ActiveX.
I had no idea where to put this thread, but since I am running XP Home SP2 I put it here. EVERY picture I save in "My Pictures" ends up in the list of available wallpapers in the display properties. My other computer did not do this, I had to manual choose a particular pic from my folders and then I could use it as a wallpaper. The pictures were not just routed there by default like it seems to be doing now. My big issue is the list is now ridiculously long & I don't know how to stop them from going there & undo the ones that are already on the list.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI used to always get a little box asking what I wanted to do when I put in either a music or picture cd.....the box has things such as copy pictures to computer, start a slide show, etc.....I insert the cd and there is no box....? I highlight the drive....( H, my plug in drive with all my pictures and cd's) and go to file, properties, auto play and the box that usually shows is there....now, how do I get that box to pop up on my screen whenever I insert a cd??????? the music and picture cd works...I hear music and see pictures, I would just like this box to appear and ask me what I want to do.

However since then, if I try and download certain .wmv files with Internet Explorer, they will not play on Media Player 10. These files worked absolutely fine before the reboot. I tried downloading the same files with a p2p program and they work with no problems with Media Player.Is there something I can do to reconfigure the way explorer downloads things, as I really want to be able to do things as I did before. I'm pretty sure it's an IE problem rather than a codec because as mentioned, the files work just fine when I download them with a different method rather than 'Save Target As'.

The folder is named C:502371470d48710f4f and contains a subfolder named sp2. The subfolder contains 0 files. Both folders are read-only. I go to Properties and uncheck the read-only attributes; however when I try to delete I then find that the attributes have returned to (grayed-out) read-only. Access, of course, is denied.

I installed xp on it and it was all good. I don?t know when but a problem started, what happened is folders like C: and My documents and other non customize the folder would change to a music folder and I would only be about to sort the folder out my artist e.g. My doc might become a picture folder type and I can sort the folder out by when the picture was taken which is point less. I also found that the more folder type I choose e.g. music folder type that a folder like C: might change to that type.

I was able to burn photos to CD, but I had to select "copy files" under "Files and folders" and then select my D Drive as the destination. Can someone please let me know why I don't have the "Burn to CD" option and how I can fix it.
