Oct 18, 2010can I skip choosing user on starting windows, by mistake I disabled administrator and there is no other user, and I can not start windows

User Acounts - Old Adminstator Account
Nov 24, 2008My computer went crazy the other week and nothing where working etc. i tried to recover my windows xp but it didnt want to recover and insted i reinstalled the whole thing.now i've got an old Adminstator account that i cant access, its taking all 5g of my disc space and i kind of have only 20g on the C:drive... i've tried practicly everything and nothing has worked so far, when trying to access the folders it only says that the folder is not accessible... I really dont wanna have to wipe out the whole hdd but its really iritating and i need that extra 5g for some things i'm doing.so is there anything i can do about this than refreshing the whole hdd?

so i tried to delete i couldnt ... eventually it got deleted by software "unlocker" but as i log in again an error as "please contact system administrator as klgina.dll is missing'.. i got that back again by system restore..
Administrator Has Disabled Usb Ports
Jul 7, 2010I was working this morning and I tried to put a flash drive in my usb port (one that I've used forever) and I got the following messages:"Administrator has restricted this computer to access usb/1394 mass storage devices"and "G:/ is not accessable Acess is denied" This is especially troubling for me since I've got to finish working on my syllabi and lessons for school and can't use my flash drive, plus I can't use my ipod, which is really irritating. I thought I was the administrator. I certainly haven't disabled anything at least not on purpose.

Aug 26, 2008i have a problem lol so i disabled all the accounts except for the administrator because i needed to log on as the admin...so on startup the admin is the only user account available. BUT...i was led to believe that the password was blank so it would log in automatically but it is password protected, but i never set a password for it so im confused as to how to enable my other user accounts. Is there a way to do it in safe mode from the cmd prompt or do i have to just reinstall another windows OS to get it back up and running.

May 1, 2005new computer last month and we have not experienced any problems with it until yesterday. I had to use the ctrl+alt+del function for some reason, but when I entered those keys, a message came up that said "Task Manager has been disabled by your administrator." Ctrl+alt+del has worked previously, as recent as the day before. But for some reason it will not open up. No one in my family messed with the computer controls, at least not purposely. I called the Tech Support for HP, the maker of our computer, and they could not figure out the problem. Their only suggestion was to do a full system restore. Aug 30, 2005In recently restoring my crashed machine, I noticed that when the machine was
idle, it would go back to the user login screen. I found this tedious as I
just wanted it to go to screen saver but stay within the user session. I ran
'control userpasswords2' and de-clicked 'Users must enter a user name and
password to use this computer.' (It's a home computer so not worried). Now
when I reboot, it brings up a Windows login for Administrator and says,
"Unable to log you on because of an account restriction." I can bypass that
and log in as Owner or anybody else so it's more cosmetic than anything else.Question - who is this "Administrator?" The account doesn't show up under
User Accounts. 'Owner' is the Administrator. Do I care about this account
(which appears to be hidden? Should I allow it to log in under the covers? If
so, do I have to re-click 'Users must enter a user name and password, etc."
Deleting User Administrator
Jan 27, 2008Following the installation of a new motherboard a new copy of Windows XP Pro was installed on my computer. I am the only user of this computer. Two user accounts were created: "Administrator" and "Peter". All my programs were reinstalled on "Peter". The computer would only reboot into "Administrator". I called back the engineer and he managed to disable "Administrator". Now when I reboot I get a dialog box telling me that "Administrator" has been disabled and asking me if I want to continue. After clicking "OK" I then get the user accounts screen, I click on "Peter" and the computer boots into "Peter". How can I get the computer to start immediately in "Peter" without all this extra malarky?

They had no other accounts except for the default Administrator account that they had used. So the son made a new account which he also granted th permission of computer amdinistrator. since that overworte the previous Administrators account that was on there everytime they log in they get the new account and there is no way to delete the new one that has been created... Jul 12, 2008I recently assigned a new user (the first one) to an XP machine. Previously, as it started up, it prompted with "Administrator" and a password field (which I had left blank), and a message about being able to setup users once I logged in. Now, having assigned a user, all I get is the offering of the new user, and when clicking on that I get prompted for the password. When I type in the password, the desktop is nothing like what it used to look like when I went in through "Administrator" - the desktop image is gone and the shortcuts that were on the desktop are gone. When I boot up, my desktop is blank except for the desktop background. In other words, no icons, no start menu, start up programs don’t load, etc. At one point, I got this error:
"Windows cannot find '/idlist, :400:2196,c:'. Make sure you typed the name correcttly, and then try again ..."
(I haven't been able to replicate this error, though. It showed up once.)
