My printer (Dell A940 All in One) is possessed. It is printing huge blue bars over all colour images and text. Here's a picture.Is there something broken with the printer or does the cartridge need to be replaced?
View 6 RepliesRecently the colour (background colour it seems) has left any window i bring up on XP, but the strange thing is, the windows still show images and icons in full colour. Does anyone have any idea how to solve this? My computer has blue screened a couple of times recently, if that helps.

And when i click yes it says: Operation could not be completed And when i try to delete my printer it says: Printer cannot be removed. The Print Spooler service is not running. And then i click RUN i type in services.msc and enter. Down the services list i go to Print Spooler and double click it. It says "Service status: Stopped". Well then i click start and after bout 10 seconds it goes back to stopped again
View 6 Replies View Relatedprinter was not printing every other page as it used to do so I called Epson. The Tech had me uninstall my Epson printer with add remove and also from device manager. Then he had me download the latest printer drivers from Epson and them the subject title error message came up. The balance of the error message is: C:WindowsSystem32Autoexec.NT
System file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows Applications. Chose Close or Ignore
Does anyone know what the problem could be with my printers not printing out envelopes? They will print out a letter but not envelopes though they act like they are printing but nothing prints when they come out in the tray? And, yes I have ink! LOL! Just curious as to what could be the problem.

I have not changed any settings nor has anyone else used it between the time it was normal and when it starting doing this.
View 2 Replies View RelatedThis week on a minority of the websites I go on regularly the text and images aren't loading and only the background comes up. This isn't a problem with the websites as I've tried them on another PC and they come up fine.The info bar at the bottom says that the images are downloading but it's happening really slowly and even when it finishes there's still nothing.Before that happens it also says "error on page" then "done but with errors on page".
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have run sfc scan now (because the startup of win xp was slower than before ( i count the 3 blue bars when xp is loading, and it was increased from 6 to 11) and asks the win xp cd. after the check, I rerun the sfc scannow, to be sure that everything is ok, but asks again for winxp cd (there is still corrupted files?). I run sfc /purgecache, then again scannow to refill the cache, and after i rerun the scannow it still asks for the xin xp cd!!! what is going on here?(note that i have win xp pro gr without sp2, after the installation i installed sp2. I re instaled the sp2, rerun the sfc /purgecache , then scannow, and again the scannow and still asks for the win xp cd.)
View 7 Replies View RelatedIt's the second time that my son, a most serious enterpriser and artist, insists that, at opening his web/blog in my PC, the green colour it's seen dark blue; not abnormalities in his paintings, but just some brightness that he doesn't like. Every other issues, as starting XP's windows and I suppose, every other pages that I open daily, look normal. I start believing my son, but I think this is the funniest finding I have heard about and worries me a little, that is not so little.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI have a dell 2400 series PC running XP home edition. My Dell A920 printer stopped working. When I uninstalled and tried to reinstall it, I couldn't get it to reinstall properly. I used the original CD and I also downloaded a driver from dell.com. Neither worked. I tried to install a new Samsung ML-2010 printer. I used the included CD. It finished the install and when I tried to print the test page, it wouldn't print. It appears in the print queue as "printing" but never prints. When I reboot, I see a message on the system tray saying new hardware detected, there was trouble on the install and new device may not work correctly. I tried to do a repair from the enclosed Samsung CD but it didn't fix the problem. When it tried to print the test page, it said "not responding" in the blue bar across the top of the page

I recently got the computer listed into my signature, and I am having problems. I pretty much get an error every five minutes, then when ever I am doing like messenger and browsing at the same time. It gives me the usual blue screen with white text, saying an error, I have found mostly that it is one of three errors that usually happen. I am getting so angry, as I NO JOKE in the last hour, have had 37 errors.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI returned to my computer earlier today and noticed it was a bit sluggish and out of the ordinary. I restart it thinking this will fix the problems, only to find out that its having problems booting up Windows XP. It gets to the window boot up screen and would get a quick flash of a Windows error message(blue screen with yellow text) and would restart and continue this process with no end. I attempted to boot-up from Safe-mode and last windows configuration, yet the problem continued. I decided to bite the bullet and reformat. Here entails my actual problem, I delete the partition and attempted to reformat. Well it begins as it normally would, however it freezes everytime at 1%. I have tried another HDD sadly, I don't think that one has ever worked. It gets power fine, mobo is working correctly. Yet, it could be several things I could've fried my HDD, CPU, RAM any number of things. Yet it dosent seem very possible as I have heat sinks on the RAM and decent cooling in my computer.

The windows explorer address bar is gone. I've already checked/unchecked View>Toolbars>Address Bar several times--no help. This is XP Home. It works fine on my other PC running XP Pro.

View 2 Replies View RelatedTwo custom PCs with XP Pro at same SP level. PC1 sees printer through switch. PC2 can not see printer. PC2 connects and sees printer when I cable the USB DIRECTLY to the printer instead of going thru a switch. Therefore, I know PC2 can print. Have tried 2 different switches. An A/B data switch and Belkin's 4x1 USB Peripheral Switch F1U401. PC1 works with both switches but PC2 does not.
