Apr 15, 2010My notepad document window is too deep and I can't grab the bottom edge to pull it up.

Open In New Window Is Not Full Size Window
Aug 12, 2005When i open any link with "open in new window" the new window is not full size screen window.Of course i dragged it by mouse many times and that should fix it later.It means it should be opened as it had been dragged,but that's never happened though i dragged it about a hundred time as a full screen size.What is the wrong here?

Sep 4, 2004Every time I open an explorer window on a floppy the window is maximized. Everytime I create a new folder, the default size is maximized. Whenever I plug in my flash drive, the window size is max. I already have remember folder size enabled, but it appears that each of the scenerios above are not included in this "memory" So the question is, how do I set the default size for each of the above to something other that max?

May 14, 2008Shortcuts on the desktop (to websites) open a window at screen centre and perhaps one quarter screen size. They each must be maximised if each is opened with no other window open and maximised. If it is possible with tabbed browsing I would like these individual windows to open (the next time I use these shortcuts) to a size I create for them by dragging them to fill the screen, but I cannot achieve this.

Dec 24, 2007I installed Deepfreeze because I mess up the registry a lot on my computer and instead of paying to get it fixed all the time, I thought Deepfreeze was a good idea. I found out the hard way that when Deepfreeze says it restores your computer back to baseline, it really means that. I lost all my work I made because Deepfreeze got rid of it. I heard that you have to make a virtual thawspace to save your date without it being annuled. Can somebody give me the documentation on how to do that? Or has anybody ever done this before?

Apr 30, 2007I have a problem with explorer had it before and after reformating deep and fresh reinstall cant load java or activex at all and I get no yellow warning bars.Java would not install auto or manual from the java site.So I went sun's site and got it to install from the download but still nothing works.Wont a virus scan find a boot sector bug?It affects firefox to so I cant go to support site because they have errors where contact buttons should be.winxp pro updated from original to 1 then sp2.Its oem so it $59 at microsoft for support.My software skills are sadly lacking or I would look in the regestry but I would'nt know what to look for.Im a hardware guy not software.By the way it runs games just fine and no problems with any other software.

I made the ones on my desktop bigger but can't figure out how to make the quick launch ones bigger.

Dec 23, 2009I am using an elderly 3M LCD projection panel on an overhead prjector for big screen Tv, driven by XP pro SP3. The panel has no controls for vertical/horizontal size and whatever monitor is used, an OS desktop fills the screen by default. I can resize the window for the TV viewing program in the normal way,just filling my projection screen, but the XP desktop is far too large.Does anyone know of a way to change the physical size of the desktop (including the taskbar) so that it sits in the LCD screen with a blank border all around, or maybe even make it custom resizeable as in a program window ( without changing the resolution)?

Everything--even RUN--opens with notepad. Aug 5, 2008Having a problem with booting into safe mode on my SONY WinXP Pro computer, I searched on the internet for a solution....This opens the boot.ini file in Notepad.
- One line should end with "/fastdetect" (NOT "/fastdetect /sos"). Copy that line.
- Paste the line you just copied below the original line. Change "WINDOWS=Microsoft XP Professional" to "WINDOWS="Safe Mode" and add the following text to the end of the line: /safeboot:minimal /sos /bootlog
- Save the file and click OK to exit the dialog boxes. Note: If you named the Windows XP installation folder something other than WINDOWS when you installed XP, that name will appear instead of WINDOWS in step 6.
Before following the instructions, I created a backup copy of my boot.ini file. I then proceeded to do as instructed. Unfortunately, I needed access to the internet which this didn't allow for. I then copied the origional boot.ini information back to my boot.ini file in Notepad and saved it. However, when I boot, it still goes into the basic Safe Mode.

Jan 27, 2008For whatever reason Notepad has started freezing whenever I try to save a document. This is incredible annoying as it's my favorite note writing program. Wordpad scrambles anything thats pasted into it. Control panel/add remove programs/Windows components doesn'twork. As Notepad is not listed in the accessories folder, even though it appears that way in program files/accessories. So, how can I fix this?
