STOP 0x00000050 (0x8CCC1345, 0x0000001, 0x808A65A1, 0x00000000) These both happen when installing windows, either when at 95% of copying files or when booting into windows.
My Dell Dimension is running Win 2000 Pro SP4. After a reboot and before Windows finishes loading I will get a flash from the blue screen and the reboot process starts over again by itself resulting in a continuous loop of blue screens and reboots. The stop message on the blue screen reads:
According to a Microsoft Resource Kit website the 0x00000008 refers to a double fault.(almost always caused by hardware failure)
The computer WILL start in Safe Mode. Last known good configuration does not work. Over the past two days I have tried all of the following:
-Removed all of the PCI cards -Swapped the ATI graphics card (AGP) with an NVIDIA graphics card -Swapped the 256MB RAM stick with another -Used selective startup and disabled all startup programs -Cloned the hard drive (in case it was hard drive failure) -Installed the hard drive in another system (in case of motherboard failure)
I need to get this system up and running by Monday morning and am running out of ideas on what to do next. To make matters a little difficult, I cannot find the original Win 2000 installation disk from Dell.
I am getting a BSOD and the error says: PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA STOP: 0X00000050 (0X81000078, 0X00000000, OXF9E129BD, 0X00000002) spooldr.sys - address f9e129bd base at f9e11000, datestamp 469e788d I tested to see what drivers are not digitally signed because I read somewhere to check that and it said that the omci.sys and tcpip.sys are not digitally signed. I am testing all the hardware as we speak with PC-CHECK, the RAM seemed to pass all the tests. I can log in to safe mode and I tried restoring to a previous date and it worked for a while. I was able to uninstall the McAfee Antivirus which I thought might be the problem, but still BSOD...
My computer is often showing blue screens and nothing I've done seems to correct the STOP 0x00000050 error about "page fault in the non_paged area". So I guess is time for me to back-up everything ASAP. Which I never did. Because I don?t know how. Could someone with good will guide me on the steps to get an EASY & SAFE back up using CD's ?
I have been getting alot of popups for Winfixer. I suspect other viruses have attached this PC. I ran ADAWARE, SPYBOT and AVG. I got rid of some but the Winfixer is persistant. I cannot come up in safe mode because the system hangs.
have a gateway MX6453 notebook. I was having problems with it constantly rebooting it self. finally got it to boot in safe mode, couldn't really find or fix anything. tried to restart in normal mode, and did the restarting as soon as windows started to load. Thought I would try system revovery at the boot menu. It started up and started to run and kept giving error msgs about not being able to read or open files. (all files are on recovery partition). Well it frooze up about half way. Tried to run it again, and it starts to load and then BSOD. here is what i get STOP: c000021a {Fatal System Error} The session Manager Initialization system process terminated unexpectedly with a status of 0x000026c (0x00000000 0x00000000) The system has been shut down. I want to know if this is something I maybe able to repair, or if i should send it back to gateway? My first guess is a bad hard disk,
I try to boot in safe mode but always get a blue screen with the following error message...***STOP: 0x0000007B (0xF789E524, 0xC0000034, 0x00000000, 0x00000000 Computer is.. Pentium 4, 2.8GHz, 1.5 GB RAM, running Windows XP home SP2
whenever I try to use some part of Windows Explorer (e.g. opening Control Panel, Network Connections, folders on my desktop) I get an error message that says: "The instruction at 0x01dde065 referenced memory at '0x00000000'. The memory could not be 'written'. Click on OK to terminate the program" When I click OK, Explorer terminates and restarts, but still has the same problem. I tried restarting as well as running a System Restore and neither fixed the problem. All of my other programs appear to be working fine, and there is no noticeable performance drop.
I have an hp compaq nx 9010 laptop and recently got this message. i wonder if the change in ram has done it>? 1 chip is the original 256 mb, the other is a 512
I have been getting the dreaded blue screen of death with STOP: c000021a (Fatal System Error)" Error Occurs when i log into my windows 2000 service pack 3 and my linksys wireless usb network adapter connects me to the internet. My computer will remain on and run fine if i do not connect to the internet. This also will happen if i connect to the internet using my backup 56k modem
computer has a BSoD, Stop error 0x00000024. Many of the guides on the Internet told me to run " chkdsk drive: /f " in Cmd. The problem is that I CANT go past the BSoD to access Cmd, even in safe mode. It is a Windows XP Home Edition.
The computer I am working on is a Compaq Presario SR1020NX running Windows XP Home Edition. It connects to the internet via a Linksys WMP54G adapter. It tried to install Windows XP SP3 and it failed. While the update was trying to work correcting the changes it made it froze so my b/f powered it off. It rebooted just fine and he was on the internet for a little bit and then it stopped working. We recycled the modem and the router, I reset everything. Tried to uninstall and reinstall the adapter and nothing worked. I contacted Linksys and we tried to use WZC to connect to no avail. After troubleshooting a little more we determined that it had to do with the updates that were just installed on the pc. The tech suggested removing all the updates that were just installed and try again. I tried...but that is where everything went heywire. I uninstalled the first update and rebooted.....then got a blue screen flash up that said autochk program not found - skipping autocheck and then went to an endless boot cycle. I couldn't boot in safe mode, tried last known good config and nothing worked.
my inlaws have a gateway with XP media on it. they told me that the machine said it was updating and going to reboot. after that it never rebooted. when they turned it on they got a reboot loop going. when i looked at the error msg it was the 7e stop error. with nothing else i did a search but just could not find anything like this. i can not boot into safe mode or normal mode. i have done a chkdsk /r /p several times but still no go. i have taken the HDD and was able to clone it with acronis to a larger drive. i put the HDD in a different pc and same thing.
I have a user who is getting a blue screen that references the following stop codes; 0x000000C2 0x00000000 0x80000000 I looked around but it seemed like a lot of people's issues were resolved by replacing the memory. So here is what I did; The laptop is an HP 6710b; - Completely replaced the memory - BSoD still happens - CHKDSK /F - BSoD still happens - Latest patches removed - BSoD still happens - take hard drive out and put into a different, identical 6710b - problem resolved. | BIOS version is the same on both laptops
My system randomly freezes and sometimes the screen will go blank When i try and start up the system i usually get stuck on the loading screen and have to restart, or the system will freeze as i'm logging in. I get a BSoD with DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL 0x000000D1 (0x000000000 0x0000000FF ) and some other 0x000stuff
An app was installed, and right after, a BSOD came up with the following error message: A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer. If this is the first time you've seen this Stop error screen, restart your computer. If this screen appears again, follow these steps: Check to be sure you have adequate disk space. If a driver is identified in the Stop message, disable the driver or check with the manufacturer for driver updates. Try changing video adapters.

I have a Acer Aspire AM5640-E5520A Intel Pentium 2 QUAD, 2.4GHz with a MCP73PV motherboard and SATA drive. When I try to install XP (which I like better than Vista) the set up acts ok ,loading files, until it gets to "setup is starting windows".. Then I get the BSOD and a message saying STOP:0x0000007b. I have tried to change the bios setting for the HD to IDE but I do not find anything about storage or AHCI. All i see is a place to change raid configuration. Raid is disabled. But i have tried it with raid being enabled.
I was informed today that our home computer has been freezing over the last day or so. I logged on and looked up some info on the error i was described, then perhaps fortunately, i got the vile BSOD. This is what was contained:Then it began a memory dump.It claims a device driver error, but i do not recall installing anything recently. the windows report proved less than helpful (surprise).
As in the title, im faced with a permanent 7B BSOD stop error message on my pavillion laptop. My current knowledge indicates that is a boot loader error, and as you may naturally expect, i am desperate to fix it! I have tried using the advanced startup options to use the last configurations which worked and safe mode, but i get the same BSOD stop error. I placed my hard disk in another laptop and it boots fine, i have even been able to log in and use it as normal. However, when i put a hard disk running a perfectly fine copy of windows xp home to my pavillion laptop, i get the same 7B stop error.
My pavillion refuses to boot from CDs as well. It seems to me the problem isnt with my hard disk and the OS version on it, but with the remaining components on my laptop...but what could be the criminal? Would anyone be able to shed some light on my problem? Of course, I will provide more details as requested.
I cannot boot to Safe Mode. Using F8 at logo display, I can select Safe Mode, but never get there. Using F12 at logo display, I can boot to Utility Partition to run Express, Extended and Symptom Tree diagnostics which include Cache, Interrupt Controller, System Memory, and HD tests WHICH ALL PASS!! The BSOD error message is: A problem has been detected and Windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer. Error info: Stop: 0x0000008E 0xC0000005 0xBF89066B 0xF3F5CAF0 0x00000000 Win32k.sys ADDR BF89066B base at BF800000 DateStamp 3f1487db The OS is Windows XP SP1a. Only the CPU and Monitor are connected.
Installed and later on uninstaller a program. After that i had to restart my computer and got the following bsod: stop: 0x0000007B (0xBACC3524, 0xC0000034, 0x00000000, 0x00000000).

It said all of this. I cant uninstall anything because this error comes up right after it says windows. I already tried safe mode, start from the best mode where it work and etc. It is not workin. i already tried the F8 steps, tht did not work either. and i dnt knw wat they are tlkin about when they say run CHDSK/ F. ummm yea so i need alot of help. Hopefully someone can walk me through of how to fix this. And also i do not have the window xp installtion cd or disk. I was wondering where u get tht from because when i was lookin up how u fix this problem most said u need this cd. So pretty much the basic of my problem is tht i have the BSOD and it is 0x00000024 error and i can not log on or even get to the log on part.
Everytime i boot my comp i get the same things happening. I let windows load and get a BSOD just b4 i get to my account logon. The BSOD states: STOP: c0000218 (Registry File Failure) Registry cannot load hive (file): SystemRootSystem32ConfigSoftware or its log or alternate. Corrupt, absent, or not writable. Ive tried to work around it by using my Windows XP Home SP2 disk and booting from that but then i get stuck in the loading process of the disk saying that: aic78xx.sys is corrupt press any key to continue
Major virus infection on computer resulted in fdisk and reformat. I used Win 98SE to fdisk and reformat, as I couldn't for the life of me find a format on the Dell Operating reinstallation CD. (could be first mistake)
Used Win 98 SE startup diskette to start system w/CD rom support.
Navigated to D: Drive which containe the XP OS reinstallation. Navigated to I386 folder and typed WINNT to begin reinstalling files.
Start WIn XP setup and began copying files to HD.
Screen shows: The MS-DOS based portion of setup is complete. Setup will now restart you computer. After your computer restarts, WIN XP Setup will continue. Remove floppy, etc.
Computer restarts - did inspection of system, shows Win XP Setup, loading files (drivers, controllers, etc.)
Starting windows - Welcom to Setup: 1. Setup - press enter 2. Repair (using Repair Console) 3. Quite - F3
Pressed enter
Next message:
Setup did not find any hard disk drives installed in your computer. Make sure any hard disk drives are powered on and properly connected to your computer. This may involve running a mfg supplied diagnostics or setup program.
Setup cannot continue Press F3
System then attempts reboot, attempts installation again by booting from HD. Then error message:
Dell Deminsion 4600 series p4 processor @2.4 GHz 512 MD DDR SDRAM @ 400 MHz 128 MB DDR NVidia GeForce FX 5200 graphics card 80GB 7200 RMP Ultra ATA HD Win XP Pro SP1 48x/24x/48x CD-RW Drive SoundBlaster Live! w/ 5.1 support
I have looked on MS site for the error code and think I understand that the problem is either a hd controller device driver is not installing from the Dell Reinstallation CD and therefore stops the installation of the software. How I can possibly extract and install the driver setup may be looking for.
I have a home built pc with an Asus P5Q-E motherboard, E4600 cpu, 4g's ram and a WD 640g hard drive. The HD is brand new as of 1 week ago. I formatted all partitions to NTFS. Partitions are C-49g, E-244g and F-303g. I've separated the software programs from system software. I had not done this before, but it has no bearing on my problem. OS is XP Pro w/SP3 and all updates and patches that were needed have been installed. Had a problem initially with installing updates but fixed the installer with a method found on the MS Help and Support site.
Hard drive is thrashing around constantly. The HD light is blinking around 1 per second during idle times. When at idle Task manager shows 99% cpu idling. No activity shows up anywhere including I/O read and writes. I already turned off Indexing Service. I tweaked according to the suggestiosn at Blackviper's site and also used Harden-it for a bit more security. Nothing I have done has helped with the thrashing. I'm a novice and really don't have a clue of how to fix this.
I read of someone else w/the same problem. He unplugged his Optical SATA drive and the thrashing stopped. I tried that and the flashing light slowed down then stopped but the system was slow and unstable. I re-connected the drive and the pc works ok except for the thrashing. The person who first tried this never posted again.
I Googled this for a while and have found that this is not specific to my hardware. Seems to be an XP problem.
Running Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer on Windows XP SP3.Have annoying pop-up ads that open new browser windows constantly.Tried about 5 different antivirus freeware packages to no avail. (AVG 8, Kaspersky, etc.)
My wrist is getting sore by this doubling or tripling of mouse-clicks to get rid of the pop-up's that has the audacity to steal focus constantly. Make my day and tell me how I get rid if it.
Computer was was suffering from a corrupted NTFS.sys file. (see http://forums.techguy.org/windows-nt...ml#post3285980) and I didn't have the recovery disk from when I got the OS, so I used Elvandril's recovery disk thing to fix it. After I did this, XP started to load, but then it goes to a blue screen that says "***STOP: 0x00000071 (0x0000000, 0x0000000, 0x0000000, 0x0000000) SESSION_INITIALIZATION _FAILED
If this is the first time you have seen this stop error screen restart your computer. If this screen appears again follow these steps:
check to make sure any new hardware or software is properly installed. if this is a new installation ask your hardware or software manufacturer for any windows XP updates you need.
If problems continue disable or remove any newly installed hardware or software. disable bios memory option such as cacheing or shadowing. if you need to use safe mode to remove or disable components restart your computer and press f8 to select advanced startup."
I'm running XP Pro SP2, and when I tried booting up in Safe Mode, it still came to this screen.I wasn't able to backup my Hard drive, solve this without having to reformat my Hard Drive?
