Debugger - Visual Studio 2008 - Unhandled Win32 Exception Occurred
May 23, 2009
I recently installed Visual Studio 2008, and then removed it a few days later because I did not use it alot, and now loads of programs crash on load saying they have the error "an unhandled win32 exception occurred in" Can anyone help me fix this?
I'm getting an error message at startup and when I run a couple of programs, An exception "unhandled win32 exception has occurred in programname.exe" However no debuggers are registered that can debug this exception. Unable to jet debug. I contacted Microsoft support who advise to do a repair install of xp, but I did this once before, on a different pc, and lost all the startmenu shortcuts to my installed programs, so am a bit loathe to do this, also as a test I created another administrative account and I don't get this issue. The simple solution (but not the most convenient) would be to use this other account, but is there another way around this?
I got a new system Pentium 4 3GHz CPU, 1GB RAM, 800MHz FSB with windows XP Professional, Office 2003 that replaces Pentium 3 300MHz 128MB RAM. I was sohappy because I do not need to use Virtual memory any more and windows xpboots up in a minute. I started installing all the development applicationsin the news system
I ran setup.exe to install Visual Studio 6.0 using DVD. It crashed. I thought DVD is bad or corrupted and used some other CD. Still Visual Studio6.0 installation wizard is crashing. When it crashed, a dialog box comes upand asks whether I can send report to Microsoft or debug. I sent report to Microsoft. Nothing happend more than that. I tried to debug using visualstudio .net. It gives the following error message.

I just installed Visual Studio 2005 on my machine. and i've started getting this machine check exception error. the full error is 0x0000009c (0x00000004, 0x805461f0, 0xb2000000, 0x00070f0f). I also tried booting in safe mode to uninstall Visual Studio and i can't because it says it is missing files. I'm not sure what to do at this point Anyway every time i boot the machine a few minutes after it gets into windows i get this stop error. Before it blue screens though ALL of my anti-virus/anti-spyware stuff goes haywire, as in it won't load or it is suddenly missing virus definition files?? I have NOD32, avast, spysweeper and comodo firewall running. I also run adaware but that isn't set to load at startup. I'm not sure if it was the software install that did it because i've been having issues with my video card also. where it will say nvidia sentinel thinks the video card isn't getting enough power and will then spam me with that message. I tried up dating the drivers but they were uptodate. Card is a Geforce7900. All the rest of my computer specs should be under my profile. I think i'll have to update the video card info though.
Every time i switch my system i get the following error "The exception unknown software exception (0xc0000024) occurred in the application at location 0x7c964ed1.Click on OK to terminate the program" and the title bar shows "setup.exe -Application Error"
This is a malware disguising as an anti-virus software. This thing is pure evil, it simply can't not be gotten rid off. I have tried restoring my system, I have used LavaSoft's Ad-Aware, AVG, SpyHunter and Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware which has worked the best but still has not eradicated the vermin. I have found the Registry line for this thing but it can not delete and I have full permission on the computer and it is set to permission for everyone. Anytime I try moving or deleting this thing I just get an error message. Worse yet I hooked up my ipod to the computer and now I think the virus is is my Ipod. So will I have to toss out my Ipod because it might infect any thing I hook it up too?
I have a Dell laptop with window xp. A few days ago while online several pop-up windows kept coming up and among them Spyware Guard 2008 came up and said there was security threats/alerts. At that point we tried the trail scan, it identified 200 threats and advised to remove the threats. We removed the threats, however since then Spyware Guard continues to pop up and scan during every start up. We havn't purchased this and can't remove from our start up remove. More importantly, since this episode our laptop 99% of the time completly freezes and won't even start
I had change my uxtheme.dll bcoz i wanted to install non microsoft themes but now only classic theme is working and when i apply other themes i get an error "visual styles could not be loaded" , "error Loading visual styles". pls help me out with this problem
I am running Windows XP Home and am having a problem making a specific photo editor (Arcsoft's PhotoStudio 5.5) the default program for opening image files stored in the 'My Pictures' folder in My Computer. When I first attempted to achieve it, I right-clicked on an image in 'My Pictures' and selected "Open With". I then Browsed to C:/ProgramFiles/Arcsoft/PhotoStudio 5.5/PhotoStudio.exe and clicked on Open. the PhotoStudio name appeared in the Folder options, but not the PhotoStudio icon. Instead I got the DOS icon. When I then clicked on OK, I was told that the image is not a valid WIN32 application. So, obviously Windows XP is not recognising the program.
I just bought The Fisher-Price Digital Arts And Craft Studio for my daughter. She's a little disappointed because she got it for Christmas and can't use it. It will not install because it says there is not enough video memory - minimum of 64MB required? Im running Windows XP with SP 2. AMD Sempron Processor 2400 1.5Gb RAM.
a program called "System Guard 2008" has installed itself. It slowed down quite a bit and eventually crashed on me. Now it wont boot up all the way. I turn it on, it will get all the way to the Windows password screen, then once I enter my password and click on the green arrow, I get a warning message that my paginf file is either non existant or too small. Then once I click "OK" on that warning message, the screen blacks out, restarts the boot process, gets to the password screen, and that cycle just continues over and over. Ive tried to boot into safe mode, safe mode with command prompt, last known good configuration
I'm in the middle of a basic networking lab and one of my VM's crashed. As our host, we use Windows XP. For virtualization we use VMware Workstation. I had a problem installing the Internet Printing Client for my lab. I got an error saying that there wasn't enough hard drive space. I then shut down my VM and added another hard drive. Upon startup I was greeted with: STOP: c0000218 {Registry File Failure} i did this:Removing the virtual HDD I added before the problems started. Restarting the VM. Restarting the host machine. Trying the VM on another machine. Booting to .iso and using the repair console with the command chkdsk C: /r.
I have a Windows XP Media Center 2005. I have been getting the dialogue box listed below when I try to record a program from MY TV on Media Center:Windows - No Disk Exception Processing Message c0000013 Parameters 75b6bf9c 75b6bf9c.Below the message, there are 3 buttons to choose from -> Cancel, Try Again and continue. When I click on any of these buttons another one pops-up with the same message. The only way to get rid of these is by exiting Media Center.
i am getting this error message. Windows - no Disc Exception processing message c0000013 parameters 75b4bf9c 4 75b4bf9c 75b4bf9c

When I boot - I end up with this notice in a box:the exception unknown software exception 0xc000000008) occurred in the application at location 0x7c9666c6. Clicking OK or CANCEL allows me to go on - but something is wrong.Sometimes I just get a WINDOWS SCREEN but the items in the TASK BAR are blue boxes rather than Start, etc. and at other times the "Blue Screen" shows up.
I am getting extremely annoyed with the message that keeps popping up every thirty seconds (see attachment). I don't know why it's searching for some removable media (I think) when my thumb drive is still inserted. I have been having similar problems since the stupid Geek Squad told me I needed a new hard drive and then named it the "H" drive for some reason; now from time-to-time when I try to run programs which (I think) used to be based off my C drive I'll get one of these or a C+++ runtime error window. How can I make this stop? I'm running Windows XP SP3. on an HP desktop. All help is appreciated, as this is a highly annoying problem right now.
When I access MSN MONEY I receive error message WINDOWS - NO DISK exception processing message c0000013 Parameters 75b6bf9c4 75b6bf9c 75b6bf9c I can cancel the error but it continually reappears as I search other pages. If I exit Internet Explorer and open it again and avoid MSN MONEY the error message does not appear.
In the past few months I've added a 512 stick of RAM and replaced the hard drive in my five year old laptop with a brand new Seagate Momentus. The laptop itself is a Pentium M 1.8 running Windows XP Home (Service Pack 3). Also in the past few months I've started receiving BSOD's for Machine Check Exception errors. The numbers tend to vary, though I can never catch one long enough to write them down, as the system flashes the error screen and then shuts off or reboots.
I've run MemTest as recently as this afternoon and the results came back with no errors found in the memory. I ran a SMART test from SpeedFan on the new HD and it was deemed perfectly fit. Still, I can't shake the feeling there's something going on with the new hardware in this laptop, as I had never even heard of a Machine Check Exception since I never got one until some time after installing the parts.
I notice I get this specific error when playing a computer game (Diablo 2, for Christ's sake, so the game isn't particularly taxing!) or watching video, ie intensive activities. It never happens while just browsing the net. I am not overclocking the processor. In fact, I'm undervolting it to keep heat down, though I've turned off Notebook Hardware Control to go back to normal voltage setting and I still get the Machine Check Exception errors with the same frequency.
I've recently put together an old computer using parts from 2 similar machines. The specs are.. Mobo: GA-K8VM800M
CPU: AMD Sempron 2800+ - o/ced to 2ghz tonight. HDD: Master - Seagate, Slave - Maxtor both 70gb Ram: 256 + 512 @ 400 Onboard VGA.. Standard 250V PSU
Okay so, i've been trying all night to install SP3 on this thing but every time I get this error "An Internal Error Occurred" and it's driving me crazy. I installed a fresh Windows XP SP2 on it and uninstalled the few updates I did through windows updates. I've cleaned the registry. I've done everything it says to do here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/949384. I've tried installing it from the Windows updates page, i've tried installing it through Automatic updates and i've even downloaded the full SP3 Package (also tried this in safe-mode). I've read every freaking forum about this error and took their advice. Nothing works........
I recently did a system repair after having problems with Windows starting up, and I need to re-install sp2 for programs such as iTunes to work. When I try running the update wizard, it gets to the 'collecting inventory' (I think that's what it's called) stage, and then stops with an "An Internal Error Occured" message. Below I posted the data from svcpack.log.

I've been trying to rebuild my friend's PC for ages now and every time I get past the initial part of setup (boot from CD, create partition, copy files, reboot) I get this error message.I've done everything I can think off:I still get the same error message when I replace the hard drive with a new one.And I've read about a billion articles about this but none of them have the same solution.
Before I reinstall the OS,,, does anyone have the fix for DHCP issues. When I run ipconfig I get the internal error occured error. I have tried to retstart TCP/IP, I changed the name of the PC and ther group name then rebooted but notta.
For some reason when I go to Control Panel before it opens I get the message :An ERROR Occurred While Windows was working with the Control Panel File. C:WINDOWSSystem32Netsetup.cpl. I Googled it an found I could resolve it by RUN>MsConfig>Start Up and Unchecking IPMon32.So I just like to know exactly what this is and if it can cause any probs.by disabling it.
Because item removed by owner. Each time I try to put a new display background - It deletes it and does the same message as a background. Is this a virus?
