iam using windows7 32 bit...i just installed it yesterday...today when i'm making it 2 sleep..it just restarts...n asks if 2 start windows normally or in safe mode...n system starts again with rebooting....i tried many times ..but same thing ....its rebooting?

My computer restarts while waking up from sleep. Can't remember when it started, I reckon about 5-6 months ago, maybe more.
My previous OS is Windows Vista Starter w/c is very much annoying IMHO, so I installed another OS which is Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit Edition in a partition and this is the one I'm using at the moment. But the problem is the sleep function..Every time I put my Laptop to sleep and when I'm waking it up to resume the task I'm doing it restarts my system instead which is pretty much annoying..

If I select the message and then click the Junk button, I receive the message "The selected message(s) could not be moved. An error has occurred." I tried removing and re-installing WLM and junk mail worked correctly for a while, but now the same problem is occurring again.
What is causing the problem and how can I fix it?
I recently reset the system to 'True Type' and did not like the appearance and turned off the True Type. However, I'm now left with applications that are still showing either parts of their software in True Type or all of their software's representation in same.Outlook, Bookmarked (on toolbar) Firefox pages, Explorer, and more.Is there not a way to get rid of True Type once selected?
View 9 Replies View RelatedBasically, what seems to be happening is when I'm using a program or something, like, for example, Google Chrome, the window will randomly be deselected or deactivated. It's like someone clicked on another window. Normally, this isn't a huge deal. I just click on the window and keep typing until it happens again (it usually happens two or three times then stops for a while); It's just annoying. But the real issue is when I'm playing a full-screen game, where it's constantly minimized. Not only does it take a good minute or two for my slow computer to pull the window back up, but this also sometimes crashes games, like Team Fortress 2.I haven't been able to play any games for a while.

On EFI systems Windows can only be installed to GPT disks".I have no clue and reading other forums it sounded like specific computers were having this problem but I built mine.Had a Windows 7 Ultimate x64 I used from a friend with no Key, Microsoft doesn't like that so I purchased a Key from them for Premium, used a W7 x32 disk by accident and I have 12 GBs of Ram so pretty inefficient.. I downloaded a W7 x64 version and am now having this problem...; First I've down this now bc Microsoft said they would send me a disk in the mail when I bought the Key but that was about 3 weeks ago and I would like to use my computer to its capabilities.
View 5 Replies View RelatedRunning weekly backups through the Task Scheduler; periodic checks always show task completed successfully; discovered that "completed successfully" doesn't necessarily mean "completed correctly"; checked in Control Panel >> Backup/Restore and discovered that Windows reports my last 4 backups are not complete...there were files missing. Missing files belong to a hidden user account created for irrelevant purpose. Hero computer tech finds/edits registry to remove hidden account and backups now runs correctly.Problem: I now have 4 backup files that are incorrect and I don't know if that will cause any problems if I forget about their condition and choose to back up to one of them in the future.

View 1 Replies View RelatedAfter an attempt to dual boot my system with 32 bit OS, I couldn't boot back into 64, it wasn't even an option. So, I figured I must have messed up the install and it was time for a clean one. Now I get an option to dual boot windows 7 or windows 7 (recovered).
Recovered is the one I want, but if I switch my boot HDD to the one that Windows 7 (recovered) is on, bootmgr is suddenly MIA.
I have not a clue how to restore it, and I even wiped the second HDD clean.

Now it just goes to the user login screen.

I know there are a bunch of sleep problems out there but I couldn't fine one similar to this after doing a forum search. Running Windows 7 Ultimate. Sleep used to work ok but now when I choose sleep from the start menu, the screen blacks out but the computer doesn't actually go to sleep. The fans, activity lights, hdd lights are all still running. If I move the mouse the screen comes back. However, if I just wait for the sleep timer to kick in then the computer does go to sleep (all fans stop running and all lights go out). I'm not sure what caused this. I use my pc as an HTCP and now when I push the power button on the remote the pc does not go to sleep.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI currently run Windows 7 ultimate 64bit, 8gig ram, intel i7-2600k cpu, and my OS runs on an OCZ SSD (all specs are in my profile)Sleep mode is set to S3 in BIOS, I have hibernation disabled (so no hibernation.sys file on my c drive)When I put my computer to sleep then immediately wake it up, the login screen shows instantly, I type in my pass and it loads in like 0.5 seconds.When I put my computer to sleep but wait for around 1-2 hrs before waking it, it shows the login screen instantly but after i hit login, it gives me the Welcome spinning circle thingy for like 20 seconds before I can see my desktop. That's like longer than my entire boot-up time excluding POST.Event viewer doesnt show any performance delay, and I dont think my OS drive (OCZ vertex 2) has a cache so I have it disabled. I'm sure all my mobo drivers and graphic drivers are up to date.

On the first boot it runs that wizard asking you to select locale etc. After doing some research I see that supposedly only Win7 Ultimate will allow multiple languages which is confusing since Home Premium is allowing me to select one. My questions are...
1) If I select a language on this first time boot wizard, once it configures/installs can I change it to another selection at a later? If the answer is "No" then...
2) If I re-install fresh from the accompanying rescue CD will I then be presented with the first time boot wizard again allowing to select the locale and thus changing it there?
I haven't decided if I want to run the box in English or Japanese yet but both options are available on the first time boot screen which I find very confusing since by all accounts Ultimate is the only version that should allow this.

View 1 Replies View Relatedevery time i select a message, outlook will hang for about 5 minutes or more before it starts working again. of course, clicking another message just causes it to hang again for another 5 minutes. the only thing that i know of is that it only happens to emails from Internet. be it "a new user has subscribed to you" email, or a "user has uploaded a new video" email... all Internet emails hang outlook. this happens on both outlook 2007 and 2010, as i have tried both.
i have also tried the following:
1) running scanpst.exe
2) running scanost.exe
3) running safe mode
4) removing the reading pane
5) repairing office
6) reinstalling office
7) removing all psts/accounts and re-adding them.
8) disabled any anti-virus add-ons
possibly other things as well, but i can't remember. i have also installed windows live mail, and that works perfectly fine with all Internet emails, so for some reason, it's related to just outlook. this problem just popped up over night. i know it was working perfectly fine one day, then just decided to spaz out the next. nothing within office/outlook/windows was changed.
I backup my files using windows backup to an external hard disk. But the backup size is smaller than the selected files. The files that are selected to be backed up are 30-40 GB, and the size of the backup shows it is only 3.7 GB. Why is this. It says its 3.7 both in the control panel for windows backup, and when looking at properties on the backup folder.

Admin- 'A', Standard- 'S'.
When the logon screen appears, the admin account 'A' is selcted by default i.e. a border surrounding the username, everytime I've to manually select my account and enter password.
I just want my account 'S' to be highlighted by default when the logon screen appears. And no, i don't want to use the automatic login option. Just what I mentioned above.
