I am finding it totally impossible to load a driver for a new HP printer CP 2025DN on WIndows 7,despite several attempts the system gets to the final stage and then 'unable to load device', as I am at an end for ideas, can you please assist?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI had Office 2007 running fine on my Win 7 x64 machine, don't ask me why I decided to waste my time to uninstall it and try to install Office 2010... Get the error 1935 bla bla.... for about 20 trials to install.
Tried all the rounds suggested: .NET repair, system restore now no longer complete (no change to system), no matter which restore point I choose..., disble Anti-virus (Kaspersky), try to install in Safe mode, I probably forget half of the list I have tried... Always same result. Worse: I get the same thing if I try simply to reinstall Office 2007!
I get that (no details needed - I see this had been a classic for at least 5 years now with no effective solution but to reinstall Win 7 or Repair - even though I have read the latest sometimes did not even worked). Both are out of my options: this machine run much more important programs/projects (recording studio, video editing) for fooling around with reinstalling. Plus, I have a OEM install and paid for online purchase of upgrade to Win 7 Pro. So even repair in these conditions is not possible from what I read.
I have not read anything new written since early 2010 on this topic, is there anything new to solve it? It appears MS have not been able to solve this for 6 years, and 3 versions ! I had same problem last year with Expression Web 2 and 4, finally been able to solve with 4 after a system restore. I was hoping to do the same here.
I'm now left with the unpractical option of doing all my Office work on my laptop. Funny enough: I have a Mac version of Office 2011 on a Mac and it run soooo smoothly. Even more funny: I *only* have this install problem with MS products, no other *non-MS* programs!..
I have a computer with Windows 7. It's a 64 bit Acer. I've had the problem twice now with two different programs that the software installations will not begin. Zune software, but now HP All in ONE printer software.I've tried the following:
1. Running from DVD disks AND full download from HP
2. Run in Safemode
3. Reset misiexe and Autoplay functionality
4. Ran windows update
5. Disabled Norton and Ran Malwarytebytes (all fine)
6. The file will extract to the %TEMP% folder. I've tried running the setup.exe from there AND re-saving it elsewhere.
7. HP Customer Support had me create another user admin account- nothing.

A security vulnerability exists in Microsoft Works 9 that could allow arbitrary code to run when a maliciously modified file is opened. This update resolves that vulnerability. I get error code 646. All other updates are installing successfully - have also run the Windows Update "fixit" which is the only available way from MS but makes no difference. I don't routinely open any files unless I am sure of their provenance so I'm not overly concerned - it's just annoying to have constant update failures on this one. Not even sure I have Works 9 ...although obviously it thinks I do ....
Maybe I'm just over thinking here, but say you hide a file, sure you can access it through changing the folder options from show to do not show. So whats the point of hiding stuff unless you're hiding it from someone who is a novice at windows 7. My main goal here, is to have a folder, which is password protected, and have it filled with things that can not be accessed through any means other than entering the correct password and therefore entering the folder. I basically want it to be completely impossible for someone to access the contents of the folder without the password.

When checking my Device Manager for this unit, it shows the following message: "Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)." I tried to "update this driver" but the answer is that "this driver is up to date". Can't find any website with Samsung TS-H653L driver updates. When I purchased the laptop, it didn't come with any CD/DVD's. I've tried to install some of the drivers from the ASUS website, with some of them saying I needed to download the x64 version because what I had downloaded was x32 (even though I'm pretty sure I downloaded the x64 file...).
There's one file that I had downloaded, yet I'm not sure what to do with it; it's called U43Jc.216. Okay so, my laptop's system is unable to boot, so I just tried to format it since I have to do that for a very long time, and when it asked me in which partition I want to install windows there was nothing, although when I clicked "Load Driver" I could access the hard disk's files, the hard disk IS listed in the bios normally but windows does not recognize it, I tried using Kaspersky Rescue disk(the only CD I had along with the recovery disk)and when I used the File Manager, the hard disk still didn't show, are there any drivers I have to install?I have burned both fujitsu9that's my laptop) and Seagate's websites and can't find anything, I have searched forums but the only answers were "check if your hd is listen in bios".So, i IS listed in bios but I can't reinstall windows nor access it

I dont know if this is posted in the right area but I'm so desperate to get my laptop working its unreal. First it started off with my laptop crashing, I had totally forgot it needed to do a windows update and turned off my laptop in hopes that it would work properly. After that my laptop has not been working. The machine turns on and gives me two options. Start windows normally or do a repair. Upon starting windows normally, it loads so far before sending me back to the two options of start windows normally or repair. On the second time I clicked repair. My laptop then goes so far before presenting me with a blue screen that is usually the screen where my accounts are. The cursor still moves but it loads no further even after leaving it an hour. I decided to make a repair disk, hoping that the problem was because of windows. the disk loads, gives me a choice on the keyboard language then does nothing. I honestly have no idea what to do, I want to keep all the files safe on my computer as I havent backed them up and I have worked so hard on the projects.

It only occurs on start up if I have a USB memory device plugged into a USB port. The USB memory device functions perfectly and the error never occurs when I plug in and out a memory device after boot up.The error only occurs for memory devices like memory sticks, external USB hard drive does not cause this error.Checking back to around the 11/18/2012 I see nothing that I have changed/installed that might indicate something that has caused this. No other Windows 7 failures or issues.

Im having a couple problems with my computer, firstly when i boot up The icon for the LAN onnection has a red cross to say its not connected even though it is and it will recognise that it is after approx. 5 minutes and will only say network instead of the actual name if my connection (network99) secondly when i log on from booting up the desktop take a while to load and all the icon thumbnails load slowly one at a time and its really slow.
