Printer Driver For Lexmark 5400 Series Printer

Windows 7 recognizes the printer but has a yellow triangle exclamation point. it will not print, but I cannot find any printer driver for Windows 7. any ideas?

Answer:-

Are yere any more details on what is the matter with the printer in device manager?

You should be able to download the Windows Vista drivers for that printer from here, which should be compatible with Windows 7:

I have a Lexmark z730 printer and I want to install that to Windows 7. Unfortunately Windows 7 does not support this printer. Is there any way I can make it work? I don't want to move to a different OS just to print something.

Lexmark X3350 Printer Driver Issues
I've been looking around this forum for any solutions to the problems I'm having with my lexmark printer. I've got windows 7 release candidate build 7100 and I'm basically having problems with installing drivers for my printer. My computer says that I have installed the driver correctly but when I attempt to print a test page, I get an error message saying "Operation could not be completed (error 0x00000002)." Even when I try to print something from, say Microsoft Word, I cannot do so.

I tried using compatability mode but the thing is, that the driver I have downloaded from the Lexmark website is inside a zipped package, and so i run that unzipping operation in compatability mode and not necessarily the driver installation file itself. I think this may be a problem but I don't know how to do so otherwise. Could anybody help me out, as I would really like to continue using the release candidate version?

Lexmark X3350 Printer Driver Issue
So when I first bought my computer (with Windows 7 32bit), I installed my printer driver and it worked just fine. But then today, it just randomly stopped working. At first there was some error about spooling, and then after I uninstalled/reinstalled the driver it gave me this error:

"Communication Not Available The printer cannot communicate with the computer.

Please turn on "Enable Bidirectional Communication" setting in the printer properties dialog."

I did what it said, but every time I click 'apply' and exit the printer properties window and then open it back up, the box is unchecked. So, I keep getting the same error message.

I've already uninstalled/installed and restarted several times, and I have no idea what's wrong.
Can anyone help me out?

And as the title says, I've got a Lexmark X3350. What's weird is that the scanner works; the printer's the only thing that doesn't.

The Original driver worked fine in XP pro.  Then Epson came out with a Vista driver that worked in Vista ultimate. Tried the Vista driver in Windows 7. Printer will not print. First of all it will not recognize any paper sizes, then Explorer freezes. Printer is on a USB port. Any workarounds to get this printing?

Microsoft Bluetooth Mouse And Lexmark Printer Driver
I installed Win7 last night and overall I am thrilled but have 2 issues.  I am having trouble getting my Microsoft Bluetooth mouse to connect.  When I try to use the tools with Win7 it searches forever and never finds the mouse.  My other issue is my Lexmark printer.  I have to say that having went 6 months with Vista waiting for Lexmark to come up with a printer driver this doesnt surprise me.  I am going to look for a new printer that doesnt have such issues, does anyone have a suggestion for all-in-one?

Lexmark X6170 Printer Support
In a home office environment with a Lexmark 6170 all-in-one printer and a new laptop with Windows 7 Home edition.  Lexmark print driver (cjsx6100EN.exe) is recommended for this configuration although it is acknowledged that the scan feature will not work. That is OK with me.

Installed the driver and printer will print one job, leave it in the queue and not "flush" it.  Stops all future jobs from printing.  Any other suggested driver/configuration options would be appreciated. Stopping and starting the spooler on every print job is not an option.

Lexmark X6150 Printer Problem
When I try to print to my Lexmark x6150 printer, Windows 7 sees the printer is connected but says there is a communication problem and does not print.

After installing the driver, the Lexmark Solution Center driver application would not run. I ran the Troubleshooting Compatibility tool against it, which enabled it to run in XP mode, but it shows "Cannot Communicate" as Printer Status.

Lexmark X9575 AIO Printer
When I install the drivers for the Lexmark X9575 AIO printer on XP or Vista (x64), it also installs a Lexmark FAX printer which I can use from Word or other programs to automatically send a FAX from my PC. I now have Win 7 x64 RTM installed and there's no Lexmark FAX printer listed.

I tried ubinstalling and reinstalling the Lexmark software quite a few times, I tried Compatibility mode, I tried running as Administrator all with no luck. I tried the Lexmark driver from the Website, still no luck. Is there anyone here who does have the Lexmark FAX printer installed with Win 7? If so, how did you do it?

Lexmark X4650 MFC Printer
I have recently installed Windows 7 and my wireless Lexmark X4650 MF printer will not work although it still works fine on my home network with an XP and a Vista machine. I have downloaded the latest drivers from the Lexmark web site and also installed the recent optional driver update that came through Windows Update.

The diagnostic printout from the printer shows it is connected to the network. The visible print indicator which comes up on the screen shows printing 99% complete and then just hangs. I have ticked the bidirectional printing box but the printing indicator does not return the ink status as with Vista

Any suggestions on how to solve this problem

After that i looked on here and tried installing the vista driver under the vista compatibility tab. That worked a little better but now my problem is that everytime i try to print something it says that the printer is offline.

Lexmark P707 Printer Compatibility
Looks a real good OS, certainly a lot easier to install and use thatn the hated Vista. However, seems to have a real problem with my Lexmark P707 Photo printer, it installed the drivers but the whole system then slowed dramatically, i.e. >10 mins to start windows and the same in use. Removal of the printer solved the problem.

Network Printer - HP LaserJet 4100 Printer Driver Issue
I have successfully installed a HP network printer on two W7 64 bit clients that I have running in a test environment.

There is one other HP network printer that is giving me problems.

It is a Laserjet 4100 N model.

I got the 64 bit Vista universal driver off the HP website.

Add a Printer
Network Printer
Select HP4100 from the list of available printers.
.. Looking for Driver   " No Driver Found"
Browse to folder where drivers were extracted to.
OK
then error "Windows cannot locate a suitable driver"

Any suggestions?

I used the same procedure for another laserjet printer from HP. That particular driver was device specific and it worked like a charm.

Lexmark Optra S 1625 Printer Drivers
I have contacted Lexmark and they claim that the OS has a compatable driver included. But, so far I have NOT been successful at adding the printer. The Optra S 1625 is currently shared by one of my XP PC's on my network. My new, Windows 7 PC, is finding the printer just fine, but is not able to locate an acceptalbe driver for it.

Perhaps, I am just not familiar enough yet with how to work with Windows 7 to get around the issue. I need some help. Lexmark claims that Windows 7 should have a compatable driver included with the OS ??

Difficulties With Lexmark Printer And Computer Stand By
After using Windows 7 I got some difficulties to install my printer Lexmark 5400, I tried to use the driver device of Windows XP and Windows Vista and I did not get success. In the web site from Lexmark, is not avaliable the driver device of my printer yet.

Another diffulty that I am getting is... Some times when my computer is stand by or later that I watch some video on WMP, the software stops to work and it takes a several time to close, even when I ask to computer closes it manually.

Windows 7 is very good for graphics and faster than Windows Vista, but I think this is just a litlle bug that will be solved when Official Windows starts to be comercialized.

Thanks for comprehension and I will continue helping to be Windows 7 the best Windows done by MS.
