I have a Lexmark z730 printer and I want to install that to Windows 7. Unfortunately Windows 7 does not support this printer. Is there any way I can make it work? I don't want to move to a different OS just to print something.
Windows 7 recognizes the printer but has a yellow triangle exclamation point. it will not print, but I cannot find any printer driver for Windows 7. any ideas?
Answer:-
Are yere any more details on what is the matter with the printer in device manager?
You should be able to download the Windows Vista drivers for that printer from here, which should be compatible with Windows 7:
Had two Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit computers with wireless connection (Linksys router) to a Lexmark X9575 printer with no problems. Moved, got Verizon FIOS with a Ultraline 9100EM router. Was able to get (with a lot of hassle) computer 1 to wireless print. (Can't say at this point exactly what I did but the problem was with jobs being stuck in the printer queue. Had to restart the spooler several time and has worked since.) Wireless indicator on printer is full green. I cannot get computer 2 to install a wireless (or even a USB) printer.
I have tried everything I know to get it to work, Uninstalled with Yourununstaller - Super mode, (many times) downloaded new 64 bit driver, gone thru install process (many times) Goes to end of install process, says printer is ready for use, but does not work. Tried "Wireless Configurator" also, no go. Control panel - Devices & Printers shows icon with yellow triangle & !. (Says "Series 9500") Properties show "Manufacturer" and "Model" as "Unknown". Seems that there is no driver for this printer. Windows update has no driver for this printer.
All of a sudden, when I try to print on my Lexmark Z605 printer, I get failure notice that printer is not found. Attempts to reinstall the printer driver doesn't solve the problem.
When I install the drivers for the Lexmark X9575 AIO printer on XP or Vista (x64), it also installs a Lexmark FAX printer which I can use from Word or other programs to automatically send a FAX from my PC. I now have Win 7 x64 RTM installed and there's no Lexmark FAX printer listed.
I tried ubinstalling and reinstalling the Lexmark software quite a few times, I tried Compatibility mode, I tried running as Administrator all with no luck. I tried the Lexmark driver from the Website, still no luck. Is there anyone here who does have the Lexmark FAX printer installed with Win 7? If so, how did you do it?
My XP PC and Windows 7 laptop normally share a Lexmark 1400 series printer successfully, but recently I had to reinstall it after fixing a hardware fault on the WiFi printer. The printer installed perfectly on the PC using the Lexmark disk, but although it appeared to go through the same procedure on the laptop, it failed to record in the Control Panel (Printers and Faxes), and therefore cannot be used.
My printer Lexmark Z22-Z32 is shared and directly connected to my desktop pc which is xp pro. My laptop is Windows 7 and when I tried to print something from my laptop using the shared printer I saw printer spooled the file and disappeared. No printing happens. I saw the spooling both in my laptop and desktop printer work queue window.
I have a Windows 7 company computer which has disabled function for download of driver from Microsoft and said I need to either use my original CD that came with the printer (All in one printer) or google the download, but I'm not sure if I should download the software for the printer or just the driver.
I have recently purchased a Dell Laptop (Inspiron) & have managed to transfer everything but my LexmARK Z605 printer, I have tried it with the original disc, zilch. Gets as far as saying it was successful & is sending a test page, zilch, Cannot download an updated driver because the site says there isn't one?
