Display/monitor 1024×768 Display Size

the display/monitor uses the generic driver for display and it is 1024×768 or 800x600 but it looks very odd it should be bigger because my screen is bigger. I have a acer monitor but is there something I can download to fix the display size?

Unable To Change Text Size In Display Settings
Under Control Panel -> All Control Panel Items -> Display

When adjusting from "Smaller - 100% (default)" to "Medium - 125%" or "Larger - 150%", icon size changes, taskbar size changes, but the text size does not change. With this not working, it appears there is no way to adjust font size (at least when Aero is disabled).

Dual Monitor Display Cut Off On One Monitor - Nvidia Gtx 280
I recently upgraded to Windows 7 and am experiencing a dual monitor problem using my nvidia gtx 280.  I am using driver version 8.17.11.9562 according to control panel.  One monitor is an ASUS 19" and the other is an ASUS 22".

The left 19" monitor displays perfectly but the second 22" (right monitor) has the display shifted hoirzontally to the left so that part of the screen is cut off.  I have tried to adjust this using the monitor's horizontal adjust feature but even when it is adjusted 100% to the right (deFault is 50%) part of the display is cutoff.

Does anyone know of another way that this display can be corrected?

Dual Monitor Display Detect
Have a small problem with dual displays. When ever I leave the second monitor plugged in it tries to auto detect the monitors then goes blank. Same thing if I try do the automatic detect after boot. Boots fine with one monitor plugged in. If I configure it manually I can get both monitors to work fine but then I run into the same problem after rebooting. System works fine under Vista and Win2008. So anyone else have a problem with Control PanelAll Control Panel ItemsDisplayScreen Resolution [Detect] ?

Reliability Monitor Wont Display Graph
Im having a really tough to TS problem with the reliability monitor. For the last week, it no longer displays any data and the graph dosent render.

It just display as blank with no data. Some things to note...

1. The RAC published and State data are being updated and published each day as they shouold. So the data does exist.

2. I have tried the "Resetting RAC" methods that worked for Vista. But the fix dosent work for Windows 7.

3. I cant think of anything that may have changed. I havent deleted any folders or log files.

4. I've used Process Monitor to trace the events when the reliability monitor executes and everything looks fine.

5. There are no errors or warnings in the event viewer.

6. I havent installed any Windows Updates.

So Im hoping that someone can think of something I am missing here. Oddly it used to work for some time and i ran it each day. Then all of a sudden one day it just stopped.

Could this be a permission issue possibly? I do recall changing permissions for C:UsersMeAppData. Are there any folders or logs within that path that might affect RAC? Are there any services that are required for RAC to collect and render data?

External Monitor Display Issues When Not Connected
Well, running Windows 7 ultimate on a Dell xps m1330 laptop. Everything looks good, but at work I am connected to a matrox triple-head-to-go device which is connected to (3) 22' monitors (3840x1280 resolution). Now when I connected it, ran the nvidia app, it found it and worked great.

Problem is I get home, no external connected, so running off the laptop with the basic resolution, I am trying to start apps (firefox, stickies, etc.) and I guess they were in other spots at work as I don't see them.

I forced a close on FF, then re-started, rt clicking and maximizing which worked, but then other apps like stickies don't have that option. An alt-tab shows it running in the lower right (see screenshot), but there is absolutely no way of getting to the app! I did close the app completely and restarted, but it does restart in a location not on the screen.

Display Settings Are Reset When Monitor Is Disconnected
Nvidia GTX 295 has 2 GPUs and when the HDMI is connected to a monitor Nvidia CUDA sees both GPUs. The generic VGA and HDMI are extended to each other, and the generic VGA channel ("Display device on: VGA") is set as main display. Despite this, Windows is disabling the second GPU (HDMI/Physical display) when monitor is disconnected, so that CUDA no longer can utilize both GPUs.

How to I make the settings permanent, so that when computer is no longer connected to a monitor CUDA is able to use both GPUs? Better still: how to I enable both GPUs by default - no monitors attached? Some Nvidia cards like Tesla do not have any monitor outlet.

Dell 1707FP Monitor Has Display Issues After Restart
After I installed MS Outlook 2002 and performed some updates, and rebooted my PC. My monitor had scrigly lines moving through it. I turned it off and turned it back on, then it was in wide screen mode--although the settings stated it was 1280 by 1024.

I hit the digital/vga switch and then hit again to go back, and that fixed  the issue. The update may or may not have anything to do with the display issues. This is probably the first time I actually rebooted without shutting down.

Later I will attempt to replicate the issue again and maybe mess with the fresh rate setting.

Desktop Display Not Extending Full Monitor Width/height
Just updated from Vista 64 to Windows7 64 build7100 .

Using DellWFP 32" monitor and ATI v7200 video card.

My desktop will not extend all the way left to right or top to bottom on my monitor.

It has black bar around desktop extending to edges of monitor.

When I set screen resolution to max 2560x1280 or recommended 1280x800 , then desktop goes full height and width of monitor. However these settings do not work for me at all.

Any other resolution setting and desktop is centered on monitor, very small with black all around it.

Here is image I took with my camera, as a screen shot only displays the desktop. This shows how the desktop is residing within the monitor. I've tried every resolution setting there is for this video card , checked to make sure I had the latest drivers also.

Display Does Not Fit Screen - Acer 23 Monitor - Model H233H
I just set up my HP PC (e9220y) today with Windows 7 and my new Acer 23" monitor (h233h). The screen doesn't fit the monitor - icons on the left are only about 1/3 visible, and only the top 1/2 of the taskbar is visible at the bottom. Screen resolution is set at 1920x1080 (Window recommended and default). I can only get the screen to fit properly if I lower the resolution to 1776x1000 - but then the screen is too small and I have borders.

I've read posts with similar issues, but have yet to see a fix - other than getting a different monitor. HP support didn't have a clue. Any ideas?
