View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a netbook with a 10.1 inch screen, and a 22inch LCD display panel. When I connect my netbook to the display, the words seem too small at 1920x1080 resolution. If I set the font size to 125% or 150%, then it would be too big once i unplug my external LCD and use the netbook's 10.1 screen. Setting the 22 LCD to a lower resolution makes the text look very blurred, so that's not an option.
Is there anyway/script/program to automatically change the font size when I connect/disconnect the LCD screen?
My mom's laptop is stuck in extended display mode and doesn't give the option for any other display mode. We've tried rebooting and disabling the secondary, external monitor, as well as disconnecting that monitor. She reset the computer from a restore point and that seemed to fix the display, but the computer still thinks it's in extended display mode and won't let that change. The Win + P hotkey also didn't seem to work.

View 3 Replies View RelatedRunning windows 7 home premium. The other day I was messing around with printer settings trying to enlarge what I was printing. Now my browser experience has taking a turn for the worse. My font seems out of whack from web page to web page. Giant bold headers on some and overlapping links on others. I am constantly having to use CTRL -or+ to adjust it depending on what I am looking at. Not sure if I accidentally changed a setting that affects my everyday browsing while I was messing with the printer settings.

View 4 Replies View RelatedAbout a month ago, one day when I turned my computer on, the BIOS display side had shrunk, leaving a 1 inch black border around the edge of the screen. This went away when I turned the computer on the following day, but has now come back. It doesn't seem to have any other adverse effects, but it bugs me. Can anyone explain why this might be and what I could do to make my BIOS full screen again?

I've been trying to find a way to change the default icon size in Windows 7. My machine defaults to 'small' icon size, but I prefer the 'large' one, in just about every case. Instead of needing to manually change the size for each individual folder, is there a way I can set 'large' to be the default for all folders? I couldn't find anything in the control panel and haven't been able to find anything about setting a default size yet.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have just got a new laptop with windows 7. Every thing is fine except all programs are working fine and I can see everything on the screen on all programs, except one! That would be a camera program by canon called camrera launcher. The image is so large I cannot get to the bottom to operate the controls. If I change the resolution that messes up every thing else. So I need to fix this screen....

View 2 Replies View Relatedback to make my main partition (C: ) where I installed windows only 50gb big. What I wonder is, is it possible to decrease the second partition in size and move that extra size to the main partition without damaging data on both partitions?
View 5 Replies View RelatedIt appears windows does not cnform to the standard method of calculating file sizee.g. the standard value of 1GB is 1000MB, however windows uses 1024MB. As such it is not in fact a "Gigabyte" But a "Gibibyte". This is extremley annoying, as for egxample, I have a 2TB hard Drive, which in the settings tells me is:2,000,263,573,504 bytes, this is correct, however it also tells me that the hard drive is 1.81TB when it should say 2TB. Is there any way I can change windows's calculation method for file sizes? So that 1TB = 1,000,000,000,000 bytesinstead of 1,099,511,627,776 byte which is a TiB (or tebibyte) This is probably a very stupid question and pointless

I think I made a mistake, as when I partitioned my drive after I bought my laptop, I set my Windows partition(C to a much smaller size than usual (30gb). Now I see in the Computer section in win 7 64bit that the drive has like 3 gb of free space. Is that enough for running ? I would like to increase the size of this partition, but with the ordinary way, I can just lower the size, not increase it.
Also, I would like to change the menu and running language to English. Laptop is in German right now, I speak the language, but I`ve gotten used to having my software in English...

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just bought a new laptop. Samsung brand. It has Windows 7 Home Premium on it. I know this is a known issue with Win 7. I calibrated my monitor and saved the settings but when the computer hibernates, goes to sleep, or shuts down the display settings revert back to the factory settings. I've heard that the "Intel Common User Interface Module" aka "igfxpers.exe" is the culprit. However, most users have found that if they disable it in the startup tab of "msconfig" this solves the issue. But, this program is not listed under my startup tab. Does anyone know anything about this issue and how the heck I can find this program and get rid of it?
