So, I got a Benq G2400WD and a 32 inch LCD TV connected to my computer, to my ati 4890 graphic card, and i wonder if i could set a different font size/dpi on my LCD TV than whats on the Benq?

I have a netbook with a 10.1 inch screen, and a 22inch LCD display panel. When I connect my netbook to the display, the words seem too small at 1920x1080 resolution. If I set the font size to 125% or 150%, then it would be too big once i unplug my external LCD and use the netbook's 10.1 screen. Setting the 22 LCD to a lower resolution makes the text look very blurred, so that's not an option.
Is there anyway/script/program to automatically change the font size when I connect/disconnect the LCD screen?
the display/monitor uses the generic driver for display and it is 1024×768 or 800x600 but it looks very odd it should be bigger because my screen is bigger. I have a acer monitor but is there something I can download to fix the display size?

It's all very pretty and neat and I can see it alright, but I'd like to be able to change it to suit me. No problem doing this in Word etc.I'm using a full-HD TV/monitor at full resolution. Since the desktop icons/fonts on the TV shows default (small) size from the laptop, in order for me to see it from the distance I have to change the desktop icons/fonts to a larger size.Here is my question; Is there a way to set up a different desktop icon/fonts size to match the TV and the laptop? (perhaps different profile settings???) Meaning, when I disconnect the HDMI cable from the TV, I want the size of the icons/fonts go back to default/small size icons and vice versa

Now my browser experience has taking a turn for the worse. My font seems out of whack from web page to web page. Giant bold headers on some and overlapping links on others. I am constantly having to use CTRL -or+ to adjust it depending on what I am looking at. View 2 Replies View RelatedFor some reason Windows 7 (Home Premium, 64-bit) has recently stopped displaying Unicode characters correctly. I know its a Windows issue, not specific to a certain program, because the problem appears on Asian characters and symbols like the stars in my song ratings across various programs like foobar2000, Mp3Tag, and iTunes. I don't think they work anywhere; I just happen to notice their absences (replaced by ugly square placeholders) in my media-related programs. One interesting thing is that restoring my default font settings via Control Panel appears to fix the problem every other time I restart (ie, I might be able to get Unicode working correctly if I always restore the default font settings before restarting or rebooting my PC - but that is heinously annoying).
The only possible cause I can think of is that I have had some programs to modify the Windows UI such as GDI++ to make the fonts Mac-like (decided ClearType was better rather quickly :P) and pieces of Stardock's suite including programs like WindowsBlinds, IconPackager, etc. I somewhat recently uninstalled all of them, but I didn't notice the problem right away, so I am not sure if they have anything to do with it.
This all started whenever I wanted to change my text size different by changing my DPI settings. What I did was right click, go to screen resolution, and clicked on "Make text and other items larger or smaller". From this I changed it to 100% from 125%. I noticed it had changed my font size to the 100%. It then made everything SUPER small when I changed my theme settings.Whenever I right click and go into personalization settings, I do the usual customizing to my likings. Since I want to save the theme, I do so by naming it, blah. Now I want to use the blah theme by click on it, and I do so. Everything is fine and dandy until I right click my desktop to refresh(out of habit). This is the before and after of the font sizes.

My workaround was to set a custom DPI setting, log off like it prompts me to, then changing it back to 100%, again prompting to do so. It is so annoying to do so.
I changed the screen resolution to 1280 x 720, but that was too big, then I changed it to 1024 x 768, but that was too small. Is there a way I change customize the screen resolution to somewhere in between?
