There must be a simple keystroke or two that helps increase or decrease the font size of everything displayed on the computer, right? I am on the internet or other software programs and cannot access dropdown options etc. because the font size is too large.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have tried everything and exhausted my knowledge when it comes to hardware, my computer starting giving me random BSOD's, it only works in normal mode, and safe mode with networking for a short amount of time, but works perfectly fine in regular safe mode, I also let it sit in CMOS for about and hour without any reboot, I updated all my drivers which inherently has made things slightly worse (i.e BSOD's are more frequent) and it keeps spitting out different error codes the most recent one is the title and the only other one I can remember involved a "BAD_POOL_HEADER" or something along the lines of that? Also though I have manually backed up my data and have made Norton Ghost Images I would prefer not to reinstall unless someone knows how to restore just my files and programs but not the OS state. And I could not include a system health report as the Performance Logs & Alerts Service fails to run in safe mode but I have included my latest mini-dump files in the zip file attached.

There's something about Windows that has always puzzled me. Let's say you have a directory in which there are some additional directories (folders) and some standalone files. When in that directory you select details for your viewing mode. Right click on a standalone file, select properties and you'll see the file size. Do the same for a folder and you'll see the folder size. This tells you that the information about the size of the file or folder is present. Yet when you select view details, the size of the standalone files is displayed but the size of the folders is not displayed.The only reason I can imagine Microsoft does this is because they make a bunch of money when people like me get so annoyed with this that we buy software such as folder size (which I use). But I didn't pay one dime for the folder size software, as I got it free from a third party vendor. So the reason can't be because they make a bunch of money selling the folder size software.

Everything installed ok but I am 75 GB down on hard disc space.
Is there any simple ways to amalgamate the other 75GB partition to give me back my original size of 150GB?
Installed Virtual PC with WindowsXPMode. Seems to have gone fine but, when I start an application there, it appears in a very small window - too small to really use the application. In WindowsXP if you press Alt-Enter the application goes fullscreen but this doesn't work , neither does dragging the sides or corner.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have installed Windows 7 as a VM in vmware player (recommended by an acquaintance) so I could then run Adobe Lightroom as a windowed application in OpenSuse, I rather stupidly (it now appears) created the VM with a 15GB drive. When working with more than a coupe of images at a time I get out of memory errors in the VM, presumably due to the lack of free space for temp files in Lightroom and swap file usage. Is there an easy way to increase the VM drive or would it be simpler to delete the VM and set it up again with a larger drive.

View 3 Replies View Relatedi have got some problem on the mouse pointer, after start the windows, and run few minutes, the size of the pointer just changed bigger itself, i haven't do anything, just use my PC as normal (e.g. after restart just open firefox and get onto internet), but few minutes later it just become bigger, i have try to go to system to set the Scheme but it just stay the same. can anyone help?
p.s. i'm not sure about this, but seems this happened when i use firefox when i scroll up and down on it, it was fine yesterday, but today i had few changing on my PC, first is i have change my display card from 2600 pro to 5700, second is firefox updated to 3.5.5, i'm not sure whether those effect anything.
