Nov 11, 2009I have installed Windows 7 home premium retail and have just added a Peak 221544AGPK DVB-T digital tv pci card. Unfortunately the card wont work and the driver wont install.
When I plug the card in to my PCI slot windows finds new hardware on reboot but this is the result.
My motherboard is the gigabyte GA-EX58 UD5 with an i7 920 cpu.
If i remove the card the unknown device dissapears so i know it is the tv card. Is there a way to fix this problem and get the tv card to work.
Tried to install the driver but the driver reports that the hardware cannot be found.
Tried the tv card in another pc and it works just fine.

Jun 9, 2011I created an answer file using the windows AIK tool called Windows System Image manager tool. Great tool by the way! Well even better once I get my Answer file to boot from the USB. I created the answer file and copied it to my USB drive inserted the Win7 Ultimate disk in by cd Rom and USB in its port and when I reboot it tells me unable to find boot.

Jan 2, 2012The problem I am having is that new computers (direct from manufacturer) are not processing the answer file correctly I have the file set to delete the partitions and build new ones but it does not do so. What I have to do is manually delete the existing partitions that come loaded and once I have done that I reboot and then my partitions prepare correctly. How can I make this work so that it deletes and builds the partitions correctly.

Jul 20, 2011I'm trying to do a clean install of Windows 7 Ultimate on a Sony Vaio AR41s via a DVD that I burned (slowest speed, was very careful about that) but upon starting the installation I get the error message: Windows cannot parse the unattend answer file's <DiskConfiguration> setting After closing this dialog box the laptop reboots and starts the process from scratch.The Vaio has nothing on it as far as I'm aware (No OS found etc...) so I'm pretty sure this is as clean a install as I could do.
Here's the specs of the AR41s:
CPU - Intel Core 2 Duo T7500 @ 2.2 GHz
Cache Memory - 4 MB - L2 Cache
RAM - DDR II SDRAM - 667 MHz - PC2-5300 ( 2 x 1 GB )
HDD - 2x 160 GB - Serial ATA-150 @ 5400 rpm
Optical Storage - BD-RE
GPU - NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT - 256 MB
OS - N/A
Running the 2x160GB HDDs in RAID 0 configuration. I tried de-RAID'ing the HDDs to see if that was the problem but I get the same result.

It just started one day and even after reinstalling windows 2 days ago, the problem is still there.Whenever I watch a movie any video format including high quality, mkv files my video lags, the picture just freezes, gets choppy, the sound continues to work, but video is freezing and eventually I have no other solution than click pause/play a few times, so the picture and sound gets correct again. I was using a Sony, it broke, I bought an ipod and it wasn't recognized by my computer at all when I plugged it in, but because my phone and camera both work in the USB ports I thought it was the ipod and returned it. Now I've got a Creative Labs Zen and having the same problem. It's brand new, I plugged it in and it says the device driver software failed to install. Feb 4, 2013I found that MC was ideal to work with my TV tuner and making immediate or scheduled recordings is a doddle. The .wtv recording is readily burned to a DVD in Video-TS format using MC and this is playable on my DVD player. There is still the problem of having to fast-forward the run-in and commercials but for a one time review on my TV this is not really a problem.
What is a problem is where you have a particular recording which you want to edit and and then produce a DVD which can be played on any player. I found the basic editing of removing start and end sections and splitting to remove commercials easy using Windows Movie Maker. This edited version can be saved as a Windows Media Video (.wmv) file which can be viewed on the computer in Movie Maker but if burned to DVD, cannot be played in a DVD player. It can also be saved as a .mp4 file but this also cannot be read by any DVD players. Media Center does not recognise either of these formats so cannot be used to burn to DVD.
is there a convenient way to both edit the recorded TV and then save it on a DVD in a format which can be played on a regular DVD player? Alternatively, is there a program which can read .wmv and .mp4 and burn to DVD in Videa-TS?

Mar 15, 2012I can't seem to get smooth playback with any videos and it's driving me insane. I've tried WMP, VLC, MPC-HC, and it makes little difference. It doesn't matter if it's 1080p or low res.Every video plays as if it has a a very low frame rate; basically a subtle lag/stuttering that gives me a headache if I look at it for too long. It's not really noticeable until there's quick movement in the video, I've tried many different output settings in these players, and used several different codec packs.
