i have tryed itunes, vlc, windows media player, and there all doing the same they all crash when playing any song. its not like the program crashs its the song stops playing then a few seconds later it will start playing again. i cant work out why they all do it so it must be a system problem.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI just bought an HP g6 laptop the other day with Windows Home Premium x64, and I wanted to bring all my music from my Ipod classic to my new computer. It is normally a straightforward process, but whenever I try it with the new computer, Windows 7 crashes. I tried to do a bit of trouble shooting myself, but to no avail. I downloaded the Microsoft Host Controller Driver Update for HP users, but when I went to install it, the error message "Update did not install (259)" came up. I don't know what to do about it, but a lot of people seem to have similar problems that have to do with nvidia chipsets or something.

Every so often, there appears some sort of distortion, like the drive that the music is on slows down. I dont know if it is the driver or what. Its hard to explain. You have to hear it. I dont think its the mp3 file itself, cause I could play a song and it will be perfect, but then the next time I play it, it will distort. It is really driving my nuts cause I can't find the reason for it.

Everything else on the computer works perfect except for one thing. When I'm playing music from my hard drive, if there is more than one song listed in the playlist (specifically when I'm playing only one album), the media player will play a seemingly random amount of the song and then skip to another song.A couple points about this problem:-This happens in BOTH iTunes and Windows Media Player.-Sometimes it plays 20 or 30 seconds at the beginning of the song and then skips, sometimes it plays all the way through the song till about the last minute and then it skips.-In WMP it skips to the very next song.I have searched around and seen a few people on forums with this problem, and there seems to be no answers. Some even said the problem was also transferred to their iPod.

After the rip is complete, the last song on the CD appears in a separate folder that does not transfer to a media player with the other songs in the primary folder.The last song appears as Unknown artist and title.

It just started one day and even after reinstalling windows 2 days ago, the problem is still there.Whenever I watch a movie any video format including high quality, mkv files my video lags, the picture just freezes, gets choppy, the sound continues to work, but video is freezing and eventually I have no other solution than click pause/play a few times, so the picture and sound gets correct again. I was using a Sony, it broke, I bought an ipod and it wasn't recognized by my computer at all when I plugged it in, but because my phone and camera both work in the USB ports I thought it was the ipod and returned it. Now I've got a Creative Labs Zen and having the same problem. It's brand new, I plugged it in and it says the device driver software failed to install. When i try plugging it again, it doesn't even attempt to install.'ve tried all of the USB ports, updating the drivers, and clearing "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" from the USB root hubs but nothing seems to workThe USB ports work with other devices so I'm guessing it can't be a problem with that. Also, it makes a sounds when i disconnect/connect the player so the computer has got to be recognizing it to some degree somewhere

I recently realized I can play them back on my laptop but the recipients may not be able to hear it on a CD player or car stereo (including mine = 2002 Acura MDX Bose). View 5 Replies View Relatedive been using sothink movie dvd maker on windows 7 the video playback on my stand alone dvd player has perfect playback but any time the audio gets to a climax like for a dramatic moment (an explosion for example) the audio crackles. I've tried to slow down the speed of the burn but sothink doesnt have that option i've switched the audio from 5.1 surround to stereo and even tried mono it didnt have any effect.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI found that MC was ideal to work with my TV tuner and making immediate or scheduled recordings is a doddle. The .wtv recording is readily burned to a DVD in Video-TS format using MC and this is playable on my DVD player. There is still the problem of having to fast-forward the run-in and commercials but for a one time review on my TV this is not really a problem.
What is a problem is where you have a particular recording which you want to edit and and then produce a DVD which can be played on any player. I found the basic editing of removing start and end sections and splitting to remove commercials easy using Windows Movie Maker. This edited version can be saved as a Windows Media Video (.wmv) file which can be viewed on the computer in Movie Maker but if burned to DVD, cannot be played in a DVD player. It can also be saved as a .mp4 file but this also cannot be read by any DVD players. Media Center does not recognise either of these formats so cannot be used to burn to DVD.
is there a convenient way to both edit the recorded TV and then save it on a DVD in a format which can be played on a regular DVD player? Alternatively, is there a program which can read .wmv and .mp4 and burn to DVD in Videa-TS?

View 8 Replies View RelatedI can't seem to get smooth playback with any videos and it's driving me insane. I've tried WMP, VLC, MPC-HC, and it makes little difference. It doesn't matter if it's 1080p or low res.Every video plays as if it has a a very low frame rate; basically a subtle lag/stuttering that gives me a headache if I look at it for too long. It's not really noticeable until there's quick movement in the video, I've tried many different output settings in these players, and used several different codec packs.

It seems the computer thinks I want Japanese, where available, for the extended info it gets for music CD's. View 1 Replies View RelatedI've converted a MP3 to a WAV using "Roxio-Copy and Convert". When I did the conversion , there was an old song title ( from a previous conversion ) in the name slot. After the conversion I simply renamed the song to the correct name.If I play that song with any other software , it will have the correct name , if I use windows media player - it defaults back to the old name in the "Now Playing" screen.If I look at the song properties , there is no trace of the old name anywhere - how is media player finding this old ( incorrect ) name , and how do I stop it ? Problem is I have converted many songs with the wrong name - so its not just happening with one song.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI am using a third party music player, MusicBee, to play my music, however if I select a folder in windows explorer of an artist that has more than one album in sub folders under the artist name then the "PLAY ALL" button does nothing.
If I select a folder without sub folders inside the PLAY button works fine and open MusicBee to play the music.
I also have VLC installed and if I right click on any music folder I get the Play with VLC option, how can I add this same option for MusicBee.
