I have a PC with iTunes on it. I've downloaded myCD onto the PC. It is copied as a MPG-4 (.m4a) file. When I burn this to a CD it will not play in the car. I also need it to play on a home CD player. Why won't it play?
View 4 RepliesI record on a CD-R the worship service at my church. I then rip certain tracks, isolate only the sermon, and burn it to a CD-R (mp3) using Windows Media Player. I recently realized I can play them back on my laptop but the recipients may not be able to hear it on a CD player or car stereo (including mine = 2002 Acura MDX Bose). What do I need to do to be sure 100% of recipients will be able to hear it?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently installed Windows 7 and now when I open a folder containing wav files explorer jumps up to 50 to 80 CPU usage.The folder contains wav music files because I am converting them from 320 mp3, and FLAC to use in Ableton Live, which is a music workstation.The folder it originally happened to came from my previous hard drive, which may have got damaged, so the files might be corrupt.. but this issue didn't happen with the folder in question after the hard drives incident (which may have resulted it having bad sectors), when I was using windows xp.Recently I converted a FLAC file to wav using this new windows 7 install. When I tried to access the folder that it was put it, again explorer jumped up to 80 percent, dllhost.exe is also contributing the cpu strain, with around 30 cpu usage.I googled this and I was recommend to download a patch for windows 7 which promised to solve the exact problem I had, it said something about explorer taking up CPU and corrupt wav files, however even after this fix.
View 6 Replies View RelatedWhen listening to music on my PC, it does not matter if I use Winamp, Songbird, Quicktime, Windows Media Player, or any other software. Every so often, there appears some sort of distortion, like the drive that the music is on slows down. I dont know if it is the driver or what. Its hard to explain. You have to hear it. I dont think its the mp3 file itself, cause I could play a song and it will be perfect, but then the next time I play it, it will distort. It is really driving my nuts cause I can't find the reason for it.

It just started one day and even after reinstalling windows 2 days ago, the problem is still there.Whenever I watch a movie any video format including high quality, mkv files my video lags, the picture just freezes, gets choppy, the sound continues to work, but video is freezing and eventually I have no other solution than click pause/play a few times, so the picture and sound gets correct again. I was using a Sony, it broke, I bought an ipod and it wasn't recognized by my computer at all when I plugged it in, but because my phone and camera both work in the USB ports I thought it was the ipod and returned it. Now I've got a Creative Labs Zen and having the same problem. It's brand new, I plugged it in and it says the device driver software failed to install. When i try plugging it again, it doesn't even attempt to install.'ve tried all of the USB ports, updating the drivers, and clearing "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" from the USB root hubs but nothing seems to workThe USB ports work with other devices so I'm guessing it can't be a problem with that. Also, it makes a sounds when i disconnect/connect the player so the computer has got to be recognizing it to some degree somewhere

View 1 Replies View RelatedI found that MC was ideal to work with my TV tuner and making immediate or scheduled recordings is a doddle. The .wtv recording is readily burned to a DVD in Video-TS format using MC and this is playable on my DVD player. There is still the problem of having to fast-forward the run-in and commercials but for a one time review on my TV this is not really a problem.
What is a problem is where you have a particular recording which you want to edit and and then produce a DVD which can be played on any player. I found the basic editing of removing start and end sections and splitting to remove commercials easy using Windows Movie Maker. This edited version can be saved as a Windows Media Video (.wmv) file which can be viewed on the computer in Movie Maker but if burned to DVD, cannot be played in a DVD player. It can also be saved as a .mp4 file but this also cannot be read by any DVD players. Media Center does not recognise either of these formats so cannot be used to burn to DVD.
is there a convenient way to both edit the recorded TV and then save it on a DVD in a format which can be played on a regular DVD player? Alternatively, is there a program which can read .wmv and .mp4 and burn to DVD in Videa-TS?

View 8 Replies View RelatedI can't seem to get smooth playback with any videos and it's driving me insane. I've tried WMP, VLC, MPC-HC, and it makes little difference. It doesn't matter if it's 1080p or low res.Every video plays as if it has a a very low frame rate; basically a subtle lag/stuttering that gives me a headache if I look at it for too long. It's not really noticeable until there's quick movement in the video, I've tried many different output settings in these players, and used several different codec packs.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI am using a third party music player, MusicBee, to play my music, however if I select a folder in windows explorer of an artist that has more than one album in sub folders under the artist name then the "PLAY ALL" button does nothing.
If I select a folder without sub folders inside the PLAY button works fine and open MusicBee to play the music.
I also have VLC installed and if I right click on any music folder I get the Play with VLC option, how can I add this same option for MusicBee.
I have recently installed windows 7 32bit OS. after installation i checked speaker test all 6 speakers are playing, but when i play any music only 2 speakers will work. kindly suggest me what can i do for updates.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64bit. I recently burnt some files to dvd disc on my pc and they played back fine on mine and a Vista pc.
However, now if I burn files to a dvd disc using any program or Windows Explorer drag/drop the pc does not recognise the disc when ejected and then re-inserted, it just does nothing if I click on the Dvd drive. It doesn't argue about inserting a disc or an error on playback, its just as if the drive is inaccessible, not there. The burnt video files play fine from disc before ejection.
However, if I then insert that disc into my old Vista Home Premium SP2 32bit machine, everything is hunky dorey fine, disc is readable and prompts to auto play cideo files. I have no issue with it. Put it back into Windows 7 and again nothing.
So, the dvd disc is created in Windows 7, plays ok until ejected and then will only play on my old Vista Home Premium machine. I thought maybe session wasn't closed but as far as can see it is.
Most perplexed! I burnt the files ot dvd to sent to a friend who has Vista but has also tried a Windows 7 laptop so am completely stumped. This process worked fine just mere weeks ago for us, I am doing nothing different.
My devices show no sign of problems. Normal shop bought DVD plays on my pc fine so I know the drive is good!
Strange problem! I have some sounds that play through my speakers when headphones are plugged in. For example, if I run Skype, the Skype will play through the headphones (properly), but iTunes will play through speakers, as will anything else.
This also happens when playing Borderlands - I have to unplug and replug headphones to get it to go back!
What gives? How to fix this? I have IDT HDA as my sound card. Windows forced me to install NVIDIA HDA as well, so I have 2 sound drivers - NVIDIA HDA and IDT HDA AUDIO CODEC.

I have searched for a solution and have not found a resolution. So now I am searching for a screensaver that plays all video and photo files. I found a couple but you have to "build" it by pointing the screensaver to specific files. Does anyone know of a screen saver that would play all photo and video files by just pointing them to the folder containing the photos and videos?
