Windows Live Lost All Gmail Upon Start Up?

I started using Windows Live 2011. Upon start up I supplied my pop mail server gmail account info plus pass word. Immediately it start downloading my huge e-mail from gmail. After some hours downloading I went to MS Live Mail and found all my gmail imported email was not there. The folders were but not the e-mail. I checked my gmail account and all the email was gone from gmail. Can I restore my email in either Live Mail or gmail?

How do I remove imap.gmail.com from my Windows Live Mail 2011 account? I had configured my windows email with gmail, and I no longer want to do that. I can't seem to find a way to keep gmail from checking my mail through my Windows Live Mail account. I'm afraid if I delete my gmail account I would no longer have access to my Windows Live Mail account. I have gone to settings in gmail and disabled imap. When I did this, I no longer was able to send or receive mail in Windows Live Mail, so I had to go back and enable imap in gmail.

I'm currently sharing this laptop with my son and he's not to picky on his downloads.Anyway, he must've downloaded something wrong, because i had to reset my computer to the factory settings. Hence, I lost all of my WLM-contacts. Is there any way to retrieve them?

Today I opened my Windows Live Mail Program and noticed I am missing a folder I created called File. It is gone. I looked in the delete folder and it is not there.I can't find it anywhere. I installed windows live mail on an XP machine 2 months ago, when my bridged version of Win-7 crashed for the 3rd time, and all the mail I had on the crashed Win-7 machine showed up on the XP machine. I had to delete hundreds of unwanted mail. I have done this 4 times, one each for 2 crashed Win-7 upgrade installs, and on the XP.Today, I set up my new win-7 machine, and installed Windows Live Mail. It only collected today's e-mails, and nothing else.

If I install the update, I lose my complete e-mail address/contact list. If I don't install the update I can't open my Live Mail at all. I miss Outlook Express SO much! I'm a senior and I don't need Live Essentials bells and whistles.

I have a Toshiba Satallite with Windows 7 installed. I now have no start button, windows task bar and all of my desktop icons have gone missing.
When I restart the laptop (via CTRL + ALT + DEL) I see all of the missing items listed for about 10 seconds...then they all disappear. What I have left is my personalised background image (my cute 2 month old nephew with my sunglasses) and a windows explorer window. Nothing else.
So far I have managed to access my Virus protection software (AVG) and run a scan. It didn't find anything. I ran my spyware application (Spybot Search and Destroy) again nothing.
what I can do to get my laptop back to a usable state?

I am using Win 7 Ultimate edition at my office. For the last two days, I have not been able to open Windows Live Mail. Every time I try to open it, an installer window open dipslying the message "Please wait while Windows Configures Windows Live Mail". After a few seconds the installer widows disappears without anything happening.I have tried a number of solutions including clean uninstall / reinstall, changing permissions for "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREClassesWLMail.Url.Mailto" but nothing has worked sofar. trying to use windows live movie maker on windows 7 ultimate x64 sp1 (with all latest windows updates) and it keeps telling me it cant start (note: it does not give me an error code)
i figured it was the graphics driver not being up to date as i have heard of this problem many times before in win7 and vista x64 based systems so i updated my driver even tho my version was above the bug list. also my card is fully compatible with dx9 up to 11 and have never had problems with compatibility in dx9/10/11 on anything before.
after rebooting movie maker worked just fine and perfectly smooth and i made a full 1 hour length video and rendered it and uploaded to Internet without any problems what so ever.
as soon as i closed movie maker and tried to re-open it it again would not work (yet worked after rebooting again but once closed would not re-open) so i'm having to reboot every time i want to use wlmm if i close it after i first open it.
all possible relevant specifications are in the screenshots attached to this post
also its the latest version of wlmm as i tried to re-install it hoping that would fix the problem but still the same unfortunately

The Windows Live Mail icon not present on the Start menu. I have a new Win 7 laptop, installed Windows Live Essentials and can see all the other programs, like Windows Live Movie Maker, but not the Windows Live Mail. I removed, reinstalled and repaired already.

I updated my computer last night using MS update. 250MB of updates and now I'm receiving the error message that there is not enough memory for win live mail to start (0x80041161).
I have around 2GB of free RAM, and the is plenty of HD space.....
Does anyone know how to fix this problem rather than re-installing the software? I have lots of mail that I would rather not be without, and I'm concerned that if I uninstalll Live mail, I'll end up without my mails.
(anyone know what update causes this?) I could just remit that update if I knew which one. Using Windows 7 Home Pro 64. All my updates have been from Win Update in the past.

I have been really happy with windows 7 and Live Mail as it allowed me to sync all my emails into one (business1, business2, personal etc etc) but about 1 week ago it started crashing on launch and is refusing to start. I have tried uninstalling via programfiles/windowslive/installer and re-installing and repairing but I am stil unable to launch the program.

I am guessing that there is still Live data which is being stored on my PC even after uninstall, is there anyway to delete such data in the case that it is the cause of the constant crashing?

I go onto start menu and click on pictures or right click and open, there is a momentary attempt to open but then nothing.I used to be able to click on and get the pictures this way.To get pictures I have to go into my documents and open the left hand list under Libraries.I then click onto pictures,nothing happens until I right click and expand and there is "my pictures" to open up. I have sent" my pictures shortcut "to my desktop as an Icon as a quick way of opening up.When I scan a photo it used to copy it and send it quickly to ( I think Pictures), from here I would always send to my documents as I preferred this.I have noticed that now when finishing the scan and me sending it to file, "the sending" takes time with the words "searching"coming up, before sending the photo on its way.
(1)So is this something to do with Pictures not opening up now on start menu regarding time taken on sending scanned picture, has pictures gone to a different place?
(2)Is it because I am always sending picture to my documents, so it has decided not to open pictures on start menu. ( note I like to tweek under Paint and Paint net via documents)
(3)I have right clicked on start menu into start menu tab under customise it is checked" as display as a link".
Privacy is checked as "Store & display recently opened programs in start menu" &Store & display recently opened items in the Start menu & task bar.

All my desktop icons are missing, no start button or task bar.The only way I can access my computer is via safe mode.Two things happened this morning so I am not sure which one is the culprit. Firstly I had an update from Java.Then I shut my computer down and went to bed.During the night, my UPS board starting beeping. We were having power problems, I think a brown out.The power went out completely then all my other electronics like my tv, kettle, washing machine etc, starting working properly again.So I can't say whether it was the power problem that has caused this or the Java update. I have done a system restore which didn't help. I have done Windows+R and typed in 'explorer.exe"..which only gave me a black screen. I have run all antivirus programs and nothing is being picked up.

I stumbled upon this forum in hopes that you guys will be able to assist me in figuring out why it is that Lost Saga keeps crashing for me. I just put this computer together this January. I was able to play up until about March, but then when April rolled around, the crashing started to occur. I talked with the Name behind the game(OGPlanet) and none of their solutions worked.

I finally pulled the trigger and installed Windows 7 on my main machine Friday. I had it on my development/test machine since RTM and RC before that. But now I live with it and I LOVE it.
I love the new taskbar, but there is one thing I am miss... I use GMail and I loved how in the task bar I could see the number of new emails I had with a quick glance. Does anyone have any suggestions? I know that GMail has an app you can install that runs in the status bar, but I don't want to be bugged when it comes in, I just want to be able to see the # when I want to look that direction.

I've tried uploading some files to my dropbox account , the small ones (under 1 mb) went ok but when i tried to upload a 5 mb file the upload process went really fast and i got an error saying "Upload failed". Then i thought something is wrong with dropbox.. went to my gmail account, same thing, upload process went really fast and i got an error saying "Upload failed". Tried a web upload site, same thing! (im dual booting with xp) tried my xp machine with dropbox and gmail and everything is fine.

This question is exactly what I am looking for, I think, but I do not understand the answer.I can give two examples of times when I should be able to send an email from a program but instead get an error message that no email program is associated and I should create an association through Default Programs.One example is in the program Living Cookbook from Radison Technologies. I should be able to email a recipe to a friend right from the application.Another example is the DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution) website. Committee members don't have email addresses that I can see and copy; instead, they have live links showing only the person's name, which I am supposed to click on to bring up and email already addressed and ready to compose. This account is using Centurytel as their DSL ISP, with a new dell system running windows 7 Pro x64, and a fresh intstall of MSO 2003.Setup Outlook 2003 per the gmail instructions: imap for incoming, smtp for outgoing, set the server ports, ssl etc all correct, double checked, triple checked.no outgoing mail has ever completed [its been a week now]. All incoming mail is fine. Outgoing mail fails whether its a "reply" or a newly-created message of any length, regardless of attachments or not. they land in the outbox, cannot send.tried turning off the AV... no effect.is there a firewall setting in Windows 7 Pro that could be affecting outgoing?is it possible that we could limp along by changing the outgoing server to a centurytel server? that has some admin ramifications I realize, but might it work?

I'm fairly new to Win7 Home Premium64. When I try to create a screen shot, I use "print screen" , then open "Paint" and select "paste". The desired image appears but from that point on I can't copy and paste into gmail. I would like to send the screen shot via email using my Gmail Application.
The message I'm getting is: "There is no email program associated to perform the requested action and that I need to "create an association in the default program control panel".
I have no idea about how to create that association in the default control panel. As far as I can see, the image that has been pasted in "Paint" is a PNG file. I have looked through all of the settings in gmail but can't find any place to "create that association".
