Windows Live Mail 0x80041161 Error On Start - Not Enough Memory
Aug 10, 2011
I updated my computer last night using MS update. 250MB of updates and now I'm receiving the error message that there is not enough memory for win live mail to start (0x80041161).
I have around 2GB of free RAM, and the is plenty of HD space.....
Does anyone know how to fix this problem rather than re-installing the software? I have lots of mail that I would rather not be without, and I'm concerned that if I uninstalll Live mail, I'll end up without my mails.
(anyone know what update causes this?) I could just remit that update if I knew which one. Using Windows 7 Home Pro 64. All my updates have been from Win Update in the past.
yesterday I upgraded my HDD to a SSD and clean installed windows 7 home premium onto the SSD. I then updated windows and installed windows live mail 2011, but when I try to run the program it comes up with "Windows Live Mail could not be started. It may not be installed correctly. Make sure that your disk is not full or that you are not out of memory.0x80041161)".I have adequate space and 16GB of RAM, I have tried running wlarp.exe, unistalling and reinstalling and deleting everything windows live mail related (including the registry data) before reinstalling. I have also tried installing and copy and pasting the program files from my old pc with no success.
I am using Win 7 Ultimate edition at my office. For the last two days, I have not been able to open Windows Live Mail. Every time I try to open it, an installer window open dipslying the message "Please wait while Windows Configures Windows Live Mail". After a few seconds the installer widows disappears without anything happening.I have tried a number of solutions including clean uninstall / reinstall, changing permissions for "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREClassesWLMail.Url.Mailto" but nothing has worked sofar. The logs from the event viewer show two problems. These are as follows:

The Windows Live Mail icon not present on the Start menu. I have a new Win 7 laptop, installed Windows Live Essentials and can see all the other programs, like Windows Live Movie Maker, but not the Windows Live Mail. I removed, reinstalled and repaired already.
I have been really happy with windows 7 and Live Mail as it allowed me to sync all my emails into one (business1, business2, personal etc etc) but about 1 week ago it started crashing on launch and is refusing to start. I have tried uninstalling via programfiles/windowslive/installer and re-installing and repairing but I am stil unable to launch the program.
Here is the error info I am receiving: Problem signature: Problem Event Name: APPCRASH Application Name: wlmail.exe Application Version: 15.4.3538.513 Application Timestamp: 4dcdb9d1 Fault Module Name: MSMAIL.DLL Fault Module Version: 15.4.3538.513 Fault Module Timestamp: 4dcdb9f6 Exception Code: c0000005 Exception Offset: 000294b1 OS Version: 6.1.7600.2.0.0.256.1 Locale ID: 2057 Additional Information 1: 0a9e Additional Information 2: 0a9e372d3b4ad19135b953a78882e789 Additional Information 3: 0a9e Additional Information 4: 0a9e372d3b4ad19135b953a78882e789
I am guessing that there is still Live data which is being stored on my PC even after uninstall, is there anyway to delete such data in the case that it is the cause of the constant crashing?
When I am in Windows Live email and I navigate away from the page to a link I get a message that states "There was a problem sending the command to the program." Then I click "OK" and it goes away until the next time. All was working fine until a few months ago.
When I receive emails with a link to web sites, I can not click on the link to be redirected, (other than right clicking copy and paste into browser). Instead, I receive an error message that reads: "This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Please install a program or if one is installed, create an association in the Default Programs Control Panel"
I have a chronic error message on my Windows Live Mail. I'm using Windows 7, 64 bitServer error 550Server smtp comcast.netWLM Error ID0x800CC79protocol SMTPPort I'm no longer interested in sending the message. I just want to stop the error window from popping up every time I use my Windows Live email.
I've been getting this error message and have been unable to fix it. I am running avast as anti-virus but hadnt done any changes to that when this message came up.I've since tried the "repair" function on the Install/Uninstall for WLM but no luck.I've also uninstalled and reinstalled Avast. I'm using a laptop - Dell Presario
When I click on EMAIL MESSAGE (to create a new email message) When I click on REPLY, REPLY ALL, or FORWARD, I receive the following message, A problem has occurred while trying to open this message. A problem has occurred.
Every 5 minutes a popup window announces error 0x800c0148 and details show that outgoing mail was not sent, which I have verified. A system reset back 10 days did not stop the error. I have Webroot anti-virus but it caused no problems before.
For quite a long time now, I've been unable to sync my email via Windows Live Mail. Everytime I try to send and receive, I get this error message, so I have to go and use a browser to read my mail which is really annoying. I tried googling the problem, the only solution I found was to due a registry scan + fix, which I did with Auslogics, but it's not fixed it. All the other problems I found were slightly different to mind and were usually unsolved.
Full error message (email censored): Unable to send or receive messages for the Hotmail.co (XXXX) account. Server Error: 0x80072EFE Server: 'http://mail.services.live.com/DeltaSync_v2.0.0/Sync.aspx' Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x80072EFE
I normally scan my document directly to the WLM to send it. It was working fine previously but today it gave me the following error:
An unknown error has occurred. Server: 'mail.optusnet.com.au' Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x80070057 Protocol: SMTP Port: 25 Secure(SSL): No
I've tried going offline, delete the file in the outbox then relaunch WLM and go online again but it didnt work. Whenever the scanner finished scanning, attaches the image of the scanned document on the email and it activates the log on screen for Windows Live Messenger as well.
Intel / Win7x64, resources are OK. Following the common spine of these threads WLM was uninstalled, Reg entries removed by hand, the store folder copied away to a safe place, no beta was ever installed, several reboots, no Norton, no Mcafee, etc, deleted the two LM folders in Program Data & program Files, ran zapmessenger.exe,
Tried to install WLE 2009 (as this may install core files WLE 2011 requires but cannot find if WLE / WLM has been removed) with no success. Why? wlsetup-custom.exe finds remnants of WLE / WLM 2011 still hiding somewhere on the disk. Like so many others nothing allows a re-installation of WLM.
I have a Dell Inspiron mini with Windows 7 starter with 1 gig of Ram. I use Microsoft Security Essentials. I did not use it for 2 months and when I turned it on 2 days ago, 22 win updates we downloaded. Now when I try to use Win Live Mail to download E-Mail from ATT.NET, I get a 0X80004005 error message. I tried to turn off E-Mail scanning but it did no good.
I set up an e-mail account on WLM but keep getting the following error messageUnable to send or receive messages for the Vetdefenceco (RadicaRaj) account. Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of inactivity.[CODE]
I use Windows Mail, not Windows Live Mail, but got this error message: "Windows Live Mail could not be started. Closing windows live mail. Your calendar contains corrupt data that is forcing Windows Live Mail to close. (0x8E5E03FF)"

I have downloaded Outlook 2010, and can receive and send mail but there are a few other problems with it, so decided to change to Windows Live Mail. However I keep getting the error message:- "Windows Live Mail error OX800cc0E, Socket error 10060".
I get the following error message every time I open Win Live mail. I hit "Ignore" and every thing seems to operate OK. I just upgraded to Win 7, SP 1 from Vista, and this is my first time using Win Live mail. I used Windows mail, before, with Vista.
