Unable To Create Email Association For Gmail In Windows 7
Mar 30, 2011
I upgraded from Vista to Windows 7 11/13/10. Since then, I've not been able to create an association for e-mail. I use Gmail. I've tried every so called solution I can find through every forum, to no avail. Would I be safe to restore my email association by clicking on the previous versions in the email properties backup from the 11/13/10 upgrade>
This question is exactly what I am looking for, I think, but I do not understand the answer.I can give two examples of times when I should be able to send an email from a program but instead get an error message that no email program is associated and I should create an association through Default Programs. One example is in the program Living Cookbook from Radison Technologies. I should be able to email a recipe to a friend right from the application.Another example is the DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution) website. Committee members don't have email addresses that I can see and copy; instead, they have live links showing only the person's name, which I am supposed to click on to bring up and email already addressed and ready to compose. For me, it only brings up the no email association message.I understand a little about file associations and know, when installing a program, to watch out for them......... however, I cannot figure out to use the Default Programs to make the required
I'm fairly new to Win7 Home Premium64. When I try to create a screen shot, I use "print screen" , then open "Paint" and select "paste". The desired image appears but from that point on I can't copy and paste into gmail. I would like to send the screen shot via email using my Gmail Application.
The message I'm getting is: "There is no email program associated to perform the requested action and that I need to "create an association in the default program control panel".
I have no idea about how to create that association in the default control panel. As far as I can see, the image that has been pasted in "Paint" is a PNG file. I have looked through all of the settings in gmail but can't find any place to "create that association".
A message comes up and tells me I have no e-mail program installed that will allow me to send folders of pictures. It says go to Control Panel and install a default program How do I make an association with my aol e-mail progran so I can e-mail folders from picasa?
I mistakenly associated Windows Media Player with opening an email with a Power Point attachment. When I try to open the attachment, I'm told WMP can't open it. I have Power Point Viewer (which can open the attachment), installed but I can't find a way to delete the WMP association. The .eml file type (email) is being opened by Thunderbird, my email client.
Windows 7 professional on a Dell laptop. Gmail will not upload or send/forward email with any attachments. Receiving no problem. PC is plugged into ethernet, has Norton Internet Security 2011. I have recently changed my ISP to BT from Eclipse. Previously Outlook 2010 was configured to allow emails to be downloaded from the Eclipse servers and to enable me to send emails using Outlook 2010 using my Eclipse email address. I also have Outlook configured using IMAP to enable me to download emails from Gmail. I can no longer send emails using my eclipse email account. How to reconfigure Outlook so that I can send and receive emails using the Gmail servers from Outlook 2010 as my primary email source.
Is there a way or an add-in that allows my to automatically create calender events from dates that appear in an email, similar to how the mail app on the iphone automatically scans for dates, times and places and creates an event when we click on the dates.

When I try to open my Comcast mail from the Comcast site, it times out. I AM able to send emails from Live Mail...

I have Windows 7 Enterprise in an Domain environment. Only Administrator can create text files in Root Drive. Other users are unable to create Text files in Root Drive.I have added the users in Administrator Group, but the issue is same.
I tried to dual boot Fedora 18 with my Windows 7. They are on two different hard drives. Fedora 18 worked but I was unable to boot up Windows 7. Frustrated, I decided to just delete everything from all the hard drives and try to do a clean install of Windows 7 using the USB-DVD Windows tool to make a USB Windows 7 installer. I then got the following error when trying to install Windows onto my hard drive:
"Setup was unable to create a new system partition or locate an existing system partition. See the Setup log files for more information"
I tried unplugging the other hard drives and got the same error. I also went to the command prompt and used Diskpart and did clean all. Still the error shows up. Something that might be useful is that when I did disk list in the command prompt it showed my hard drive but with 0 free space. Not sure if this is useful but the drive I want Windows 7 on is a solid state drive but the one I had Fedora on is a normal hard drive and I had an extra harddrive that I used for storage that is a normal hard drive as well.
I had 32 bit Windows 7 home premium provided by OEM. Recently I purchased Windows 7 professional 64 bit in order to increase my memory.(My system is 64 bit capable) I followed [1]. I am using USB for installation. I booted the system with USB. Then at disk manager I deleted all the partitions(including recovery ) Then I refreshed and click next and I got an error saying setup unable to create system partition.
I'm running W7 on my generic laptop at home, and without any changes instigated by myself, have the following situation appearing:When I click on a link in an email, the following message appears;'This operation has been canceled due to a restriction in effect on this computer. All I want is to create a password when I use my laptop (Windows 7 preinstalled, Toshiba Satellite), as I used to do on my XP laptop.I've tried to set a paassword for the Administrator Account but I get the message: ''You are creating a password for ---. If you do this, you will lose all EFS-encrypted files, personal certificates and network resources. To avoid losing data in the future, ask user to make a password reset floppy disk.''I have no idea what this means. Does this mean that I have to make a rest disc before I create a password??I'm the only user of my laptop and don't need to create a user account but I did to see if I can create a password. But I got the same message again for the user account.
my wife just purchased a new computer with windows 7. I know that outlook express is no longer there. She is trying to read old email in folders and cannot without opening the folder and then opening each email. Are there any free programs that will work...or does she have to purchase outlook??
