View 1 RepliesIs there a way or an add-in that allows my to automatically create calender events from dates that appear in an email, similar to how the mail app on the iphone automatically scans for dates, times and places and creates an event when we click on the dates.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a huawei modem. When I try to connect to modem by using it then I got a message "Failed to create a phone book entry". Then I search to internet about this problem. I found a solution by the deleting file named "rasphone.pbk" where located is c:program dataMicrosoftNetwork ConnectionPBkasphone.pbk. It's say's delete the following file and try again. I perform that and success. But problem here, I perform that task by the "Administrator" user login. When I login by the other username such as my name, then I get the same message again. But when I login by the "Administrator" then I can connect to modem without any problem. Then I think, it seem for permission. Then I added my user name in the "Administrator" group. But problem still now. I try by the taking ownership of that file, but it showing "access is denied". So I cannot replace ownership.

Activesync works perfectly on my phone so that portion of the network is open at my work. I have been doing some reaserch and in order to get Outlook to sync with Exchange Server without VPN, RPC over HTTP or Outlook Anywhere must be enabled on the network. I know for a fact that our IT department have that portion disabled.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI just installed Office 2013 and decided to give the updated Outlook a fair try. I'm coming from using Thunderbird as my main e-mail program.
I have 10 gmail IMAP accounts setup in Outlook, using to be what I believe are the default settings (I haven't changed anything in any of the accounts). I am not working offline, and I have Outlook set to send/receive every 10 minutes.
In Thunderbird, anytime a new e-mail message is received, it is automatically downloaded and I get an alert sound.
However with Outlook, in order for the e-mail to be downloaded, I have to click on the Inbox of the respective e-mail account in order for it to be automatically downloaded.
This isn't an e-mail account problem because I immediately receive new e-mails via IMAP in Thunderbird and on my phone.
My mom has multiple accounts in Outlook 2007. Her personal account and the account she uses for our little orchestra to send sheet music.
Is it possible to make that in each subject automatically is [SHEETMUSIC] or something like that? Or automatically make the message line in the inbox yellow or something? She just wants to see quickly that it's a confirmation for a received part.
I've been having problems with windows journal when a note file reaches 2mb or more. I use an (older) tablet pc with a core duo CPU running Windows Home Edition and I wonder whether this may be the problem as upgrading my RAM to 4GB didn't help at all. One way around this would be to have smaller files with different chunks of the data (diagrams and hand written notes) but I would have thought a 2mb file wouldn't cause such problems. I've been considering upgrading to a brand new tablet but if the problem is with the software then I don't see much point yet.
View 8 Replies View RelatedMy installation of Windows Live Mail automatically checks for and retrieves email even though I have set it NOT to do that.
In Tools - Options - General I unchecked "Send and receive messages at startup" and "Check for new messages every [time is grayed out]" Yet the program still automatically checks for email and downloads it.
I have my Hotmail account set up, and I could sort of see that account automatically retrieveing mail, but I also have other accounts set up through my ISP and through my own domain, and these are also being automatically checked even though I have cleared the checkboxes described above.
I have closed the program and rebooted since unchecking those boxes (this has been going on for an extended time, several weeks at least). Am I missing some option somewhere, or is this just broken? I can't imagine it's the intended behavior. I'm running Windows 7 x64, Windows Live Mail Version 2009 (Build 14.0.8089.0726).
I'm using OL 2010 with Windows 7 Pro x64. I have this problem of OL not syncing all my imap accounts. I have various imap account for different purpose. One for reading tech journal, one for ebay and so forth. Right now, I will only see there is incoming mail when I click on it. Once I look on the folder once then I will see new mail w/o having to click the account to see new mail

View 3 Replies View RelatedPurchased a website and email domain. I have a fresh install of MS office 2010 and when trying to incorporate my pop3 mail everything works fine, even the test emails, but I can not save profile because i get an error, "This information service is not installed on your computer", so it wont let me create a new data file. when I search for an existing .pst none are found on hard drive. so I'm kinda stuck. I tried the same basic thing via control panel > mail > data file tab > add data file, but i get the same error. "This information service is not installed on your computer." I took a look at my add/remove windows features pane to see if maybe on windows install I missed some email protocols or something but I could not find any. did the same for the office 2010 install, checked to see if I did not install a key feature. still nothing.Tried using IMAP as well since this does not require .pst access but still same error. "This information service is not installed on your computer."
