Outlook 2003, Windows 7 X64, Gmail. Outgoing Fails, Incoming OK?

This account is using Centurytel as their DSL ISP, with a new dell system running windows 7 Pro x64, and a fresh intstall of MSO 2003.Setup Outlook 2003 per the gmail instructions: imap for incoming, smtp for outgoing, set the server ports, ssl etc all correct, double checked, triple checked.no outgoing mail has ever completed [its been a week now]. All incoming mail is fine. Outgoing mail fails whether its a "reply" or a newly-created message of any length, regardless of attachments or not. they land in the outbox, cannot send.tried turning off the AV... no effect.is there a firewall setting in Windows 7 Pro that could be affecting outgoing?is it possible that we could limp along by changing the outgoing server to a centurytel server? that has some admin ramifications I realize, but might it work?

add a extra email account in Windows Live Mail (I am running Windows 7) and the setup is asking for my Incoming & Outgoing Server information.

In my Windows Live Email account, I have been noticing an attachment box at the top of the incoming and out going emails. It has ATTOOO, then a number and underneath that it has a number then a dot htm. When I click on it, it reveals the sameinformation that is in the accompanying email.

I am having repeated problems with outlook 2007. Firstly, When trying to send mail, especially with more than one recipient, I am getting an "Operation Aborted" ErrorI did find one fix for this and that is to re-arrange the recipients untill it sends. But this is quite time consuming, should there be more than 7 recipients... (Try breaking a 7 digit combination lock)Is there a fix for this? What can I do?Secondly, Even though the mail has been sent, it stays in the outbox. I have sort of fixed this by disabling cache mode in connections setup, but it seems to turn itself back on again.

Having successfully moved my address book (.WAB format) to w7 and converted it to .CSV format I can get as far as "Select the Contacts folder that you want to import to" as in the website [URL] but when I click "next" the box is blank where a Contacts folder should be. In outlook 2003 I have some contacts which I added manually to address book so there should be an address book of some sort.

whatever i try to do on my outlook that has to do with .PST file management results in a crash where outlook quitsif i go to control panel > mail settings > data files 2 of the files that are in use (& work) do not show up, one of them the default mail delivery .PST. in these two, trying to access the advanced properties gives an error:The operation failed. An object could not be found.now - general googling tells me that recreating the profile could perhaps fix this - but i would love to avoid that as there's no manageable UI to set up the email accounts and there's many in use.event log on trying to open a pre-existing .PST that's not in the current profile:

Periodically I have problems loading the Gmail inbox from an IE8 favorite, if using Gmail "standard view". Gmail "basic HTML" view doesn't have the problem. Likewise Firefox 3.5.5 nor Chrome 3.0.195.33 have the problem in either Gmail standard of basic view. IE8 version: 8.0.7600.16385. Happens with both 32-bit and 64-bit IE8.
Problem only happens if loading from an IE8 favorite, not if manually going to Gmail and logging in.
Typically the problem manifests as an indefinite wait while loading Gmail. However sometimes one of the following two errors happen:
""We're sorry. It seems there is a problem. Please try using Gmail with a supported browser. If you're encountering this error while using a supported browser, we suggest alerting your Internet Service Provider (ISP) that a proxy is failing to accept cookies on HTTP redirects."

I have three email accounts with gmail connected to outlook 2010. Sadly the PST file contains all the emails from my email addresses and since I hate deleting emails the PST files are huge. Is there a way to set up outlook so it only goes back X ammount of time for storing email on my system and have some other way to access anything older?Right now I have 10 GB's of files on my laptop and I am sure my desktop to. So I would much rather shrink that down as much as possible, if not then I can move the files to a none OS HDD, but with my laptop at least hard drive space is somewhat limited.

I'm going to take another shot at this. I can't seem to get my Outlook 2003 to open a mail link from within a message. I clink on 'address@somewhere.com' and it opens a 'Locate Link Browser' box. I'll stress here that I am not having any problem opening web links in the same email messages, only email addresses.

Pop account emails show up in sent folder as properly sent with time and date sent.They aren't going anywhere. Have sent tests to myself to no avail.Also emails sent thru Gmail IMAP never make it to any sent folder in Outlook and I get an error message stating that the server will not allow sent emails to be placed in the Outlook sent folder.

I don't have a pop but several Gmail and Yahoo accounts. Can I integrate then into Outlook 2007. IMHO Outlook is the best, most organised email client around....unless you've got a better idea about integration.

I have recently changed my ISP to BT from Eclipse. Previously Outlook 2010 was configured to allow emails to be downloaded from the Eclipse servers and to enable me to send emails using Outlook 2010 using my Eclipse email address. I also have Outlook configured using IMAP to enable me to download emails from Gmail. I can no longer send emails using my eclipse email account.How to reconfigure Outlook so that I can send and receive emails using the Gmail servers from Outlook 2010 as my primary email source.

Outlook 2003 works fine on my computer with Windows 7 - except for one annoyance. When I first open Outlook, it loads immediately. However, when I exit (using the red X), and then try to reopen Outlook, it hangs up. When I use CTRL-SHIFT-ESC, I find two instances of Outlook running! If I end the process on the one using the most memory, Outlook then opens immediately. I am having a similar problem with Windows Media Player. Again, it's not a majopr problem but a real nuisance.

I have a new HP Notebook with Windows 7. Downloaded my old Office 2003. However, Outlook only works intermittently without any rhyme or reason. I've kept a log since August 5 for being on and being off. It is mostly off. The # of the error message that comes up is (0x800CCC0F0), it says: "The connection of the server was interrupted. If this problem continues, contact our server administrator or Internet service provider." My internet provider is AT&T u-verse, they tell me that they do not deal with Outlook problems, I should use webmail. Of course I use it to get my emails but don't anybody tell me what to use, I have used Outlook for the past 15+ years and I intend to continue using it. I use the very unimaginative webmail out of necessity. AT&T also tells me that that I can subscribe with a one year contact $ 15 a month to their special service to address my type of problem.

When I try to open a web hyperlink in my Outlook 2003 mail, I get a pop up saying it is "denied due to security settings on this computer." I can open hyperlinks in Hot Mail just fine. I have Windows 7. I have tried to change all my security settings but nothing will allow me to open links in Outlook mail. I started having this problem after I upgraded from XP to Windows 7.

I installed windows 7 yesterday and everything is great except for when I use my Outlook 2003. I am trying to open links within emails and they automatically open with Internet Explorer and not my default browser Opera. I have changed all the settings I can in default programs -associate a file type-but cannot change settings in the protocols which are defaulted to IE for HTTP, FTP & HTTPs - could this be the problem and if so is there a way to fix it?

Our office manager is using Windows 7 with outlook 2007 and is trying to share her calendar with the staff in the office. Two of the office computers are running outlook 2003 and can not accept the invitation to share her calendar. I am hoping that someone can help me. Yesterday my Outlook 2003 stopped functioning properly. I can open this program and use all functions on the menu bar but the second I touch an email it hangs. It even downloads new emails without problems. I used the installation disk to see if I could do a repair but my system hangs when trying to do a repair or re-install. I used the control panel and removed the complete office package and reinstalled but it stills hangs when I try accessing my emails.I have to restart my computer in order to get Outlook to close. All other office programs seem to work with no problems.
