I am presently using Outlook 2003 on my new Windows 7 OS but I can't seem to change the color scheme of the program. I can alter the Windows OS theme but not the individual programs like Outlook and Word. They are defaulting to blue only.

View 11 Replies View RelatedRunning Windows 7 64-bit, 8 GB RAM, Q9505 processor, Sapphire 7950...From time to time, Windows will break into a game to throw up a "Do you want to change your color scheme to improve performance?" There is no rhyme or reason to when it does it...not always the same game, not always the same programs, and sometimes it'll go for weeks and not do it at all, other times it'll do it seven or more times in one evening. When it's "on a roll," rebooting doesn't stop it from appearing. It used to have the same odd behavior with my old Asus 6870 as well.I want to permanently disable it. I have clicked "don't ask again" over and over again, which Windows ignores. I have changed the settings in the Action Center, which Windows also apparently ignores.

View 1 Replies View Relatedso i recently had a HDD crash and got a replacement, loaded Windows 7 x64 premium back on it, put all my software on it that i use, and notoice that when i load up itunes 10.5.2 (current version) it changes my theme settings and says "the color scheme has been changed to windows 7 basic" now i've gotten this before running legacy programs, no problem... but itunes is 64 bit, and i use it heavily. and before the reload i never had this issue before.
i'm thinking this could be a driver issue? i did have an issue with all my internal HDDs reading as external ejectable media, but fixed it with sata drivers.... i got the driver for my GPU, but still did nothing to fix this.

I was just using my computer and I had uninstalled a bunch of software (I don't remember which programs I uninstalled) and I turned my computer on and off after that and right when I booted my computer up it looked really funny (see screenshot below). The taskbar at the bottom of the screen turned white and some other components of the UI look like they are from windows 98 or XP. Here is a screenshot:

View 9 Replies View RelatedEvery time I use the command Ctrl+C to copy. My Windows aero colour scheme returns to default colors. The only way to change it back is to hit Ctrl+C 10 more times!!! This seems to be an odd issue but its really annoying as I copy and paste allot XD.
View 3 Replies View RelatedHaving successfully moved my address book (.WAB format) to w7 and converted it to .CSV format I can get as far as "Select the Contacts folder that you want to import to" as in the website [URL] but when I click "next" the box is blank where a Contacts folder should be. In outlook 2003 I have some contacts which I added manually to address book so there should be an address book of some sort.

I'm going to take another shot at this. I can't seem to get my Outlook 2003 to open a mail link from within a message. I clink on 'address@somewhere.com' and it opens a 'Locate Link Browser' box. I'll stress here that I am not having any problem opening web links in the same email messages, only email addresses.
View 8 Replies View RelatedOutlook 2003 works fine on my computer with Windows 7 - except for one annoyance. When I first open Outlook, it loads immediately. However, when I exit (using the red X), and then try to reopen Outlook, it hangs up. When I use CTRL-SHIFT-ESC, I find two instances of Outlook running! If I end the process on the one using the most memory, Outlook then opens immediately. I am having a similar problem with Windows Media Player. Again, it's not a majopr problem but a real nuisance.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI have a new HP Notebook with Windows 7. Downloaded my old Office 2003. However, Outlook only works intermittently without any rhyme or reason. I've kept a log since August 5 for being on and being off. It is mostly off. The # of the error message that comes up is (0x800CCC0F0), it says: "The connection of the server was interrupted. If this problem continues, contact our server administrator or Internet service provider." My internet provider is AT&T u-verse, they tell me that they do not deal with Outlook problems, I should use webmail. Of course I use it to get my emails but don't anybody tell me what to use, I have used Outlook for the past 15+ years and I intend to continue using it. I use the very unimaginative webmail out of necessity. AT&T also tells me that that I can subscribe with a one year contact $ 15 a month to their special service to address my type of problem.

This applies to docs. saved on MY DOCS and new docs received as e-mail attachments. I am trying to open links within emails and they automatically open with Internet Explorer and not my default browser Opera.
