For eg.. normal speakers device for my personal account and then have my multichannel device (profire 2626) set as default for my other user account 4 studio work.
Atm, if i change it on one account it changes on the other account which is annoying and i'd just like to set default device for each account so i don't have to do this.

Reserved & OS partitions) of one drive on one controller to the partition of another drive on a different controller, AND have it boot? I know "something" would have to altered, but I'm not sure "what" or "how". Is this even possible without going through a lot of hoops. Specifically I have an installation of W7x64 installed on the 1st partition of the master drive on a PATA controller. I want to move it to the 1st partition of the master drive on my SATA controller.

Dec 15, 2011how to handle USB removable media inside camera.With camera there is no "Safely remove hardware and eject media" option.When Photo camera is connected, a new camera device is installed and GUI window is opened with option to browse or copy photos. But there is no removable storage devise eject button on notification area. The USB removable Storage devise is also present on File Manager Computer left panel but again, there is no mouse right button eject option as normally with removable storage devices. I have checked in on several computers. How to understand. I don't believe that it's camera specific but Camera is Canon S95.

Jan 4, 2012I'm running Windows 7, 64-bit on an Intel Corei32100T processor on a Gigabyte H67A motherboard with 8gb ram, connected via HDMI to a Sony Bravia. No sound or video card as its all on the processor. I want to set up the system to record a line-in source for (1) my turntable and mixer, and (2) interface for my guitar and microphone. My device manager shows both Intel(R) display audio and Realtek HD audio. Clicking on the speaker icon in the notification area brings up the Intel display audio mixer with three sources, the Sony, system sounds and Firefox. I'm sure this is controlling the system audio output. No way to a recording mixer. Bringing up the Realtek audio manager still shows me no way to set recording levels. Since I'm planning to use the pc for recording LP to disc (on my second thousand, now, switching from favorite old programs on an XP machine to the newly built system)and for live recording, properly setting up the basic sound paths in the system before setting up Audacity and Artist One from Presonus.

If I go to Control Panel->Display->Change display settings->Advanced settings, the Properties window for the Intel GPU pops up; 2. If I go to Intel(R) Graphics and Media Control Panel, under Options and Support->Information Center, it says "Processor Graphics In Use:Intel(R) HD Graphics 3000"; and 3. Graphics quality/performance is way too low for the NVIDIA GPU.I tried disabling the Intel HD thing in Device Manager, but all that happened was that the screen went blank, so I restarted my computer, booted into Safe Mode (the screen wasn't blank there), re-enabled the Intel, and then restarted Windows into normal mode (and obviously I still had the problem with Windows not using the NVIDIA GPU.Also, if I go into NVIDIA Control Panel (click the system tray icon and click "Customize which programs use the GPU"), under "Manage 3D Settings", if I add a game to the list of "programs to customize" (in the Program Settings tab) and then click Apply, the game still behaves as if it was using the Intel on-board GPU (as in, nothing changes in terms of quality and/or performance, regardless of the graphics settings). Also, in the Program Settings tab, under "2. Nov 26, 2011I just ordered an SSD and will be migrating my Windows 7 64 install over to it. Most people seem to say I should do a fresh install instead of cloning the old drive. Currently my OS is on a partition on my HDD, while the rest of my files reside on a different partition on the same drive.
Where this gets slightly trickier is that my version of Windows 7 is an upgrade edition. From what I remember reading before my initial install, the installer is much happier and the process is much smoother if it can detect an existing Windows installation somewhere on the system. But on the other hand, everyone seems to advise disconnecting all drives but the SSD when installing (to avoid having the boot loader install on the wrong drive?).
I can't have it both ways. The closest I've found to someone with my same dilemma is here: Upgrade Installation - To new SSD From XP
It sounds like in the end he had to do the reinstall workaround (install Windows 7 again over the invalidated installation).
