View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm running Windows 7 32 bit and I just noticed that all my drivers for the USB controllers, Audio/Sound devices and the Networking internet (Broadcom Netxtreme Drivers) have all died. They indicate that a Code 39 is the problem. I tried to load some of the drivers but it wouldn't allow them to install. I did a last known configuration attempt, no results. Did a system restore and it gave me an error message saying it didn't restore properly. I am trying to get the drivers online, burn them to a disk and load them. I have no internet access on that PC and the USB ports obviously don't work. I can get drivers on this PC online. Some I can't find. I did the uninstall driver, disable, all the usual for this problem. I am stumped. Any recovery attempts produce nil results. Thanks to Microsoft, I have no installation disc to do a new install or a backup image.

Every time i plug in a USB pen drive or my tomtom device, a window appears with a message saying that the device drivers can not be installed. I have tried many usb mass storage devices and i still have the same issue.
My uncles laptop burner is acting like storage device. The icon on computer is a storage device icon. Every time he inserts a DVD movie it doesn't auto play, in windows media player you would usually see the DVD on the side but you see it as storage device icon which you can't play it. The only way to play it is by playing the .vob file on the DVD. I checked device manager and i found the burner is in the disk drive section which is really strange. Any ideas on how solving this?Details: Toshiba Satellite Pro L500
View 4 Replies View RelatedOn one of my Win 7 Pro computers, I almost always get the error message when trying to *eject* a flash/thumb drive: "Problem Ejecting USB Mass Storage Device. This device is currently in use. Close any programs or windows that might be using the device, and then try again." This occurs all the time, even when I close down Adobe Illustrator, the program I usually copy a file from onto the flash drive.

View 14 Replies View RelatedThe title might be a bit weird, but i wasn't sure how to phrase it. I'll try and describe our problem:Basically what we want to do is to use the windows 7 search function, without knowing what letter our USB device has been given (i.e. D:, F: etc). Say I've named my storage device "Hello", now i'd like to search for "Hello" and the content should be popping up (like when i write D: and i see all the content in D: without going there manually). Is this possible, or are we simply wasting our time?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a big problem with a MP3 Player which I use it as a storage device. It has only 512 MB and I decided to use it as a stick. A long time ago i had encountered the problem shown in the "TITLE". So when i connect the device in ANY usb port it connects and disconnects every 3 seconds continously. Don't forget that this is only a MP3 player and on the box it is mentioned that is driverless. Until this problem the device was working well and i could use it as a little stick. I tried to uninstall the driver in Device Manager and to desable it but every time the same thing. The most important thing is now.....I connected it on a laptop and it works and i saw that the laptop has the same driver...I mean when i connect it it installs a driver. Also i can connect to my PC (where this problem occurs to my MP3 player) other usb devices such as hard disks printers webcams and everything works fine. So this means that the problem is not to the USB or the PM3 Player or driver...
