I currently use an old Creative X-Fi Xtreme Music sound card in my system. Worked wonders under XP (What didn't, honestly) and upgraded recently to Windows 7. My sound in Windows 7 works great, all speakers emit their proper sound in their proper positions and when I play games, I can hear everything like I did in XP. Someone sneaking up from behind has no clue that I can actually hear them. -.- Anyways, to my point...
Front Left becomes Rear Right, Center Becomes Front Left, Front Right Becomes Center, Rear Right Becomes Front Right My Rear Left Makes No Sound And Sub Becomes non-existant!
This all happens just after a quick *Pop*, and suddenly someone speaking dialogue in front of me sounds like he is behind me! The only way I have found to fix it is to open my Creative console (I use Game Mode (Entertainment proves just as problematic)), set my speaker configuration to 2.1, then set it back to 5.1 and the sound works properly again! But, wait about another half hour, *Pop*, back to messed up configuration.I have an XP partition, works fine under it with no sound re-arrangement,Figured It was my speakers, Bought a new set, does the same thing.I've checked the cables: Everything is as they should be and placed correctly Does this in OLD and NEW games, as well as iTunes and WMP.
I recently installed Matrix: The Path of Neo, which is a great game, but its PC port is horrible.The problem is, the game detects any gamepad and maps its buttons automatically, with no options to change the buttons.So, the game uses the right analog stick to manipulate the camera but the X and the Y axis are switched so, what I wanted to do was to make Windows 'think' that the X axis is the Y axis and vice-versa.I already searched the internet and couldn't find any program that did this (xpadder, pinnacle game profiler, motionjoy, joytokey, none work)
I'm trying to reinstall a game controller on Win 7 64 bit, but every time I replug the controller into a usb port it shows the previous settings.How can I remove the settings from my machine so I can do a fresh install of the game controller.
i disable alot of devices in dev manager in order to achieve the best latency for a live audio rig. i also use the same laptop for alot of other generic activities in which i want all devices active. since the removal of "hardware profiles", i have not figured a way to boot into the same OS with different device manager settings. i was wondering if i created a 2nd boot partition, could it access the single OS that is on my hard drive? 1 OS, 2 boot configs?
I know there's an option to "tell" windows to use less memory that it have by configuring the MSconfig. But is there a way to create dual boot with 2 memory configurations? One with 4GB and the second with 8GB?
I'm buying a new system, so I will have to make a fresh install of windows. I spent many hours customizing windows and editing settings... Would it be possible to save those preferences and restore it to my new win7 installation? For example, I made a custom theme for windows 7, I know I can save and export it, then import it on the new windows7 installation. But what about other settings? Like everything in the control panel.
i have just had to reload my daughters laptop but i now have no drivers for her wireless so cant connect to net to update them, does any know how i can get drivers for it, both ethernet and network controllers have no drivers ?
First some info: Windows 7 Professional x64, Intel x58 Chipset So, looking in my device manager I've noticed that a lot of the stuff are not updated.i.e.: [URL] The date is still June 2006 According to DriverEasy they need to be updated: [URL] Other devices include the devices like these: [URL]First I tried to do the automatic update through device manager, but Windows insists that these are up to date.So then I went here: Intel Driver Update Utility Ran the auto detection and installed everything it says I needed. These are still not updated.Then I grabbed the download via DriverEasy, and placed the Windows 7 version of these in a folder, then pointed to them. Update still say the current drivers are up to date.
umm, the problem started when i bought a china game controllers it worked perfectbut some new games only supports the xbox game controller o my question is is there some kind of a program that will make the game
I want to buy a controller that will work with new games that requires Xbox 360 wired controller. I bought a cheap Chinese controller but it works on games prior the year 2007. New games like Borderlands, Call of Duty cannot be played with this controller. I saw Logitech F310 controllers which looks good but not sure if it works on these games. which games can be played with controllers.
I'm using Window7 RC 7100 , after clean installation and while connection my game controller i went to control panel but i couldn't find Game Controller Setting ? is it hidden if so how to make it visible and if not how can i get it.
Can I use two Wired Xbox 360 controllers to play games like Fifa 12 & Virtua Tennis 4 multi-player with a friend locally? I've read you can do it with the wireless controllers but I cannot find any evidence on using two wired ones.
I'm running Windows 7, 64-bit on an Intel Corei32100T processor on a Gigabyte H67A motherboard with 8gb ram, connected via HDMI to a Sony Bravia. No sound or video card as its all on the processor. I want to set up the system to record a line-in source for (1) my turntable and mixer, and (2) interface for my guitar and microphone. My device manager shows both Intel(R) display audio and Realtek HD audio. Clicking on the speaker icon in the notification area brings up the Intel display audio mixer with three sources, the Sony, system sounds and Firefox. I'm sure this is controlling the system audio output. No way to a recording mixer. Bringing up the Realtek audio manager still shows me no way to set recording levels. Since I'm planning to use the pc for recording LP to disc (on my second thousand, now, switching from favorite old programs on an XP machine to the newly built system)and for live recording, properly setting up the basic sound paths in the system before setting up Audacity and Artist One from Presonus.
Is it possible to move my Windows 7 installation from the partition (both the Sys. Reserved & OS partitions) of one drive on one controller to the partition of another drive on a different controller, AND have it boot? I know "something" would have to altered, but I'm not sure "what" or "how". Is this even possible without going through a lot of hoops. Specifically I have an installation of W7x64 installed on the 1st partition of the master drive on a PATA controller. I want to move it to the 1st partition of the master drive on my SATA controller.
FROM PATA0 {sys reserved}{OS install}{data} TO SATA0 {sys reserved}{OS install}{data}
I also have another install on the 2nd partition of my SATA4 controller and want to move it to the 1st partition of my SATA0 controller
FROM SATA4 {data}{sys reserved}{OS install} TO SATA0 {sys reserved}{OS install}{data}
Previous OS on my Sony Vaio Notebook was Windows Vista, since Windows7 64bits was installed my graphic driver doesn't work and Sony as well as Vaio don't have updates for driver. Microsoft can't recognize driver to update.
I reinstalled windows 7 and upgraded from 32 bit to 64 bit. everything went well but my drivers for the ethernet, network, and pci simple communications controllers are not installed and i can not connect to the internet. please help
New Laptop. Win7 64 ie9 has no min max or X buttons on the top right. Is this a new feature... Checked options, can`t download ie9 as my version is newer. ie8 not compatible. Should I remove ie9, then how can I access the net to reload
I'm running Windows 7 32 bit and I just noticed that all my drivers for the USB controllers, Audio/Sound devices and the Networking internet (Broadcom Netxtreme Drivers) have all died. They indicate that a Code 39 is the problem. I tried to load some of the drivers but it wouldn't allow them to install. I did a last known configuration attempt, no results. Did a system restore and it gave me an error message saying it didn't restore properly. I am trying to get the drivers online, burn them to a disk and load them. I have no internet access on that PC and the USB ports obviously don't work. I can get drivers on this PC online. Some I can't find. I did the uninstall driver, disable, all the usual for this problem. I am stumped. Any recovery attempts produce nil results. Thanks to Microsoft, I have no installation disc to do a new install or a backup image.
Is there any way to use 2 XBOX 360 Controllers for Windows and 2 XBOX 360 Wired headsets at the same time in a game on the same PC? I have tried and both headsets are working properly independently but was just hoping to get them both outputting sound primarily with both microphones recording as the secondary priority.
