View 8 Replies View RelatedI recently looked into this cards performance and even used furmark to benchmark test it. THIS program made the card reach 91c before I stopped it.I recently got MSI Afterburner to test it out even more accurately and it gave me readings of 79c only after maybe 4-5 minutes of play on Metro 2033 with High settings. It just worries me that it may be overheating at times.
View 9 Replies View RelatedHad a frustrating afternoon trying to get my triple-monitor setup going again; I had WinXP for years with two video cards: a single, simple VGA / PCI card, and a recent Radeon HD 4670 card with two outputs. Under XP everything was recognized without incident, first repeating all three monitors and then able to extend windows to this monitor under Display Preferences.
Now under Windows 7 RC, I did a fresh install with both cards inserted, and only the single VGA card would drive its monitor. The HD 4670 drivers are listed in the Device Manager, I removed and installed the ATI 9.9 version software several times, and the single VGA output is the only thing I get. I even tried the 'F8', selected the unsigned drivers, and still it didn't bring the Radeon to life.
I pulled the single VGA card out, and bam the two monitors off the Radeon come alive. I install the CCC and it works just fine. And then I shutdown, add the VGA card back, and get the single VGA output again.
My m'board is Gigabyte GA-K8U-939 with Athlon X2 2.6 GHz and 3GB DDR. Windows 7 x64 detected the card but had an yellow symbol with the status code 43. Aero could not be enabled because of that. A poster torrentg seems to have sorted out this particular issue for a lot of people. I tried all his suggestions but the code 43 exists.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI'm currently using xp home edition and I just bought the SAPPHIRE RADEON HD 4650 1G AGP. The current version of my driver is 8.620.0.0. I found out that there was new updates for the driver. When I tried to make them a bug came in my system. I tried manually to locate the files for the update but still didn't work.
Anybody could pls have any clue about that?

On a similar note my on - board Sound Chip has not been identified properly and again i would like to correct this and install the correct drivers.

Because official ATi-AMD drivers for windows 7 don't work on my graphic card witch is HD3650 AGP also drivers for vista don't work it installs only CCC but not the display drivers.

(Or again, could be chipset but I'd try this first.)Download the normal Catalyst 9.9 32 bit for Windows 7 and extract it to C:ATI.Here is the .inf you should use. View 1 Replies View RelatedWell I do not really know where to start. I've bought myself a new computer and I'm trying to set it up and completing updating stuff.
And Everything goes smooth until the installation of my new Sapphire Radeon Hd 5870 Graphic card.
I'm not any expert in this field and could really need some help, directions or what to look after to make it work.
I'm able to install all except the actual driver. The drivers I'm trying to install is latest from Ati's homepage.
The error message i get is following:
"Driver install: user must be a member of the administrators group"
Error During installation of newest Drivers
I've tried right clicking and Run as Administrator but nothing changed and I still got the same "result" or problem after that.
I've checked in my Administrative Tools -> Computer Management -> Local Users and Groups -> Users
And there I've checked that my User is a member of Administrators.
I've tried starting up a game (Aion to be correct) and got this error:
Error Message Starting up Aion
I've tried to install new drivers by selecting the location off the driver but then windows gave me a message that said following:
"Windows has determined the driver software for your device is up to date"
Picture shows Advanced settings in Screen Resolution
Picture off Advanced Screen Res. Settings
On my Motherboard, Asus Rampage II Extreme, It said that if you were running a single GPU card it should stand at the top Pci-e slot, so it's mounted after the manual.
I don't know if that makes me unable to try the 2nd or 3rd Pci-e slot to test the actual slot or not?
Installed OS (Windows 7 Professional 64-bit)
Installed Chipset drivers.
Ran Windows Update
Installed Graphics Card drivers - newest from website
Reboot - CRASH - have to boot in Safe Mode & restore to earlier version as system will no longer start properly.
Why? What did I do wrong?
Until attempting to install the proper drivers, it would appear the system is using a default VGA adapter, and not seeing as PCI-e? Are there special drivers to install for the PCI-e boards?
I was looking for CCC drivers for my ATI radeon 3100.
One problem: They have drivers for ATI Radeon 3100 HD, But NOT 3100.
Whats the difference between the two?
Is it possible to just use the ATI radeon 3100 HD drivers on my ATi radeon 3100?

i tried installing the latest catalyst driver package just to see if they would work but they didn't detect the card, and i couldn't manually update the drivers via device manager since the card would not see any compatible drivers.
is there any supported drivers avaialble for this card for windows 7?
I currently have catalyst version 09.7 so i figured it was about time to update to the latest catalyst driver. However when trying to install the ati mobility HD 5*** drivers it gives me a pop up message saying something about incompatible software/hardware. After downloading the autodetect driver tool it told me to install radeon HD drivers. Should i go with this or manually install the 5 series drivers?

Dell's latest drivers for the card work fine (version 8.640), but anytime I try to install a newer (including the latest) version of the ATI drivers, Windows bluescreens. The initial setup procedures go ok, and I can choose to install, then I select Custom (although I have tried Express with similar results), and when it begins to detect the hardware, it gets to about 10-20% and then bluescreens. The same thing happens when trying to install the Avivo Video Converter; it bluescreens on the detection page. So far, I have only tried the driver-only package and the Avivo

Because Radeon is more powerful I want it as primary but when i deactivate the Intel the screen gets all low-res and i cant change it up. On the other side, when i only disable the Radeon, the screen is still perfect. I have checked in game settings on differnt games and the GPU used is the Intel 3000 I wanted and still want to have Radeon as primary cuz of gaming. I still cant set the Radeon as primary.Installing new drivers from the AMD website doesnt work eighter. All i get is a catalyst with almost no options (2 mb). And when I start my laptop I always get as message reading: "the catalyst driver is not supported by the driver version of your enabled graphics adapter. please update your AMD graphics driver. or enable your AMD adapter using the Display Manager" W.T.F it is enabled in Display Maneger.

Now it may be the fact that I installed the 64 bit version of Windows 7 and the card just does not have the driver support for it, but I spent 2 hours trying different things and it will not take. I am going to try the 32 bit version tonight and see if I have better luck. I reinstalled Vista in the interim, but not happy with vista.
