View 8 RepliesI'm currently using xp home edition and I just bought the SAPPHIRE RADEON HD 4650 1G AGP. The current version of my driver is 8.620.0.0. I found out that there was new updates for the driver. When I tried to make them a bug came in my system. I tried manually to locate the files for the update but still didn't work.
Anybody could pls have any clue about that?
i have a sapphire HD 5770 a little over a yr now and recently it started giving problems and now it does not wrk most of the time. what happens is that when the computer is turned on the card starts up (the lights on the back of the card light up green and soon after they start to flicker and turn off and the fan spins really fast and loud as if there is no six pin power connector in the card. i gave it to a friend to check it for me and it wrked in his system for about 4 days str8 the started to chip off.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI recently looked into this cards performance and even used furmark to benchmark test it. THIS program made the card reach 91c before I stopped it.I recently got MSI Afterburner to test it out even more accurately and it gave me readings of 79c only after maybe 4-5 minutes of play on Metro 2033 with High settings. It just worries me that it may be overheating at times.

View 4 Replies View RelatedHad a frustrating afternoon trying to get my triple-monitor setup going again; I had WinXP for years with two video cards: a single, simple VGA / PCI card, and a recent Radeon HD 4670 card with two outputs. Under XP everything was recognized without incident, first repeating all three monitors and then able to extend windows to this monitor under Display Preferences.
Now under Windows 7 RC, I did a fresh install with both cards inserted, and only the single VGA card would drive its monitor. The HD 4670 drivers are listed in the Device Manager, I removed and installed the ATI 9.9 version software several times, and the single VGA output is the only thing I get. I even tried the 'F8', selected the unsigned drivers, and still it didn't bring the Radeon to life.
I pulled the single VGA card out, and bam the two monitors off the Radeon come alive. I install the CCC and it works just fine. And then I shutdown, add the VGA card back, and get the single VGA output again.
My m'board is Gigabyte GA-K8U-939 with Athlon X2 2.6 GHz and 3GB DDR. Windows 7 x64 detected the card but had an yellow symbol with the status code 43. Aero could not be enabled because of that. A poster torrentg seems to have sorted out this particular issue for a lot of people. I tried all his suggestions but the code 43 exists.

I have a Sapphire Radeon HD3850 AGP card in my system but windows will not install the driver from the latest release of the ATI Catalyst driver install. Instead it defaults to the Standard VGA
From what i have read on these forums i may need to change some information the CH87739.inf file for the driver.
I see a memeber called torrentg had posted a modified .inf file but the download limit has been reached. Is there any chance of posting again? Or perhaps positing its contents into the replay.
After uploading newest drivers, scrubbing my clean install of various generic audio and video codecs, drivers, devices and tools, I had spend about 4 hours of my life trying to get audio to work using a device that worked under XP MCE 2005.
Enough being enough, I weighed the costs and purchased a Galaxy GeForce GT220
for about 90 bucks at that local big box store. Sure I could have saved about $20-30 driving about 30 minutes each way in winter wet weather. I wanted audio over my home theatre system and I wanted it now.
First I downloaded the newest drivers available, installed the card, ripped out the default drivers and installed the new set. Peace of mind, 7.1 sound, priceless. I'll use that other card in my office where the silence of a passive card will be more appreciated.
I have a Dell Vostro 3450 and want to connect to a Maxtor external hard drive with a 1394 firewire connection. What kind of adapter should I be looking for?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI recently installed an ATI Radeon 9550 HD display driver to my computer, Windows XP SP2 32bit . Before that, my computer was running in VGA mode only. But though, I have downloaded the driver and installed it with the Catalyst Control Center. After rebooting, what I got is a black screen after Windows XP boot screen. I shut down the computer and now I saw the classic WELCOME with the blue background... but nothing more. After rebooting the PC for about 5 times, I got past the WELCOME stuff and to the desktop. As I watched the Device Manager, It says the I Have Installed the ATI Driver and its secondary Driver. But though, if I right-click my desktop and go to Display Properties>Settings>Advanced>Display Adapter I saw that there was no Display Driver and I was still running in VGA. VGA sucks because you can't play any 3D games or even Google Earth won't work. Now everyday I start the PC, I have to reboot about 5 times untill I get it working. It's been almost a month since I'm doing this and it caused me alot of nerves and boredoom. But though, sometimes I think the ATI works since I boot the PC, then I see the black screen and hear that start sound like when you XP starts. I managed to acces the Narator and saw that PC was actually working, except was like blind. I am looking for some fix tips and reply ASAP.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI saw a similar thread here with the solution of increasing the idle clock speed of your GPU: Windows 7 with Radeon HD 5770
I am having very similar problems where my graphics card driver seems to crash all the time when I'm doing thing that don't stress the GPU. This started happening after I added 8 GB of memory that I bought recently. The thing is I can't find a way to edit the idle clock speed of my GPU in the new CCC. I have tried using the 11.12 and 12.1 and its the same thing. In my C:Users{YourUserName}AppDataLocalATIACE folder I noticed that the profiles.xml file is what has the CoreClockSpeed option but I can't seem to edit it (I open it and change the numbers but when I save it gets reverted right away).
I just installed Windows 7 Pro 32-bit on my old IBM/Lenovo T60p and everything is great except for my video card driver... Even though I've downloaded and installed the Windows 7 drivers from Lenovo's website, windows insists on using the standard VGA graphics adapter and wont let me change to the ATI drivers. As a result, I only have access to 16Mb of graphics memory and can't run any of my more graphics-intensive programs. Any ideas?
