Sapphire Radeon HD 4670 And Second VGA Card Problem
Had a frustrating afternoon trying to get my triple-monitor setup going again; I had WinXP for years with two video cards: a single, simple VGA / PCI card, and a recent Radeon HD 4670 card with two outputs. Under XP everything was recognized without incident, first repeating all three monitors and then able to extend windows to this monitor under Display Preferences.
Now under Windows 7 RC, I did a fresh install with both cards inserted, and only the single VGA card would drive its monitor. The HD 4670 drivers are listed in the Device Manager, I removed and installed the ATI 9.9 version software several times, and the single VGA output is the only thing I get. I even tried the 'F8', selected the unsigned drivers, and still it didn't bring the Radeon to life.
I pulled the single VGA card out, and bam the two monitors off the Radeon come alive. I install the CCC and it works just fine. And then I shutdown, add the VGA card back, and get the single VGA output again.

This is my only unsolvable (to me) hiccup with Win 7 so far running on an ASUS P5AD2-E Premium Motherboard. I'm using a Saphire Radeon 4670 graphics card which has integrated HDMI audio suport. Some people seem to have this working in Win 7 but no luck here yet.

Sapphire Radeon Hd 4650 Video Card Driver
I'm currently using xp home edition and I just bought the SAPPHIRE RADEON HD 4650 1G AGP. The current version of my driver is 8.620.0.0. I found out that there was new updates for the driver. When I tried to make them a bug came in my system. I tried manually to locate the files for the update but still didn't work. Anybody could pls have any clue about that?

Driver Issue (ATI Radeon Mobility 4670)
I just bought a new acer (link) and proceeded to install windows 7 (64-bit) straight ahead. I must admit i made a bit of a mistake when i didn't check if the box it got shipped in contained any drivers or such (which it didn't to my surprise!) Currently got experience with 32-bit Windows 7, but not with 64-bit which I've heard had a rough time with bugs. Because my system is a 64-bit platform i suppose this might be one of the reasons for my problems. On a side note, this system is shipped out with both onboard gfx and an extra card (the ATI 4670 one) But on to the main issue; Currently my problem with this system is an issue regarding my ATI mobility radeon HD4670 GFX card. (This is the drivers I've tried soo far: ATI Catalystâ„¢ Mobility Display Driver - Directly downloaded from the ati.amd.com site (this is by chance also the latest native win 64-bit driver) http://www.acer.com - Go to the driver section and select the right system (Acer Aspire 8935G). Sadly there is no windows 7 drivers atm, only vista ones. Without any drivers, this is how my Device Manager list my display units. As you will notice windows update have already found some driver for it. But the Device will not start (This device cannot start. (Code 10))

Radeon Sapphire HD 4850 Compatibility
The graphics card I have is the Radeon Sapphire HD 4850. I was playing the call of duty 4 demo for a while, just fine. Then, the second time through, i got a black screen for 5 seconds, then normal game for about 10 seconds. It repeated twice, then on the final blackscreen there was a 10 sec pause then a restart. Is this a problem with windows 7 beta or the graphics card? I just tried using updated drivers, I hope it will help. Also, i am currently using the windows vista drivers because I cannot find the windows 7 drivers (if they exist)

Ati Radeon Sapphire X1550
i don't know if the video card and the graphics card is the same thing (because im not from UK or USA). my problem is that i have installed the driver and by the devices appears a yellow sign that shows that i have installed nothing what should i do ? my card is : ati radeon saphire x1550 (if someone didn't understand that what i wrote plz ask me for more explanations)

Sapphire Radeon X1650 Display Adapter Issue
Device Manager is showing the Display Adapter as "VirtualBox Graphics Adapter" I want it to recognise my Sapphire Radeon X1650 Graphics Card so that i can install the appropriate ATI Drivers. How can I do this. On a similar note my on - board Sound Chip has not been identified properly and again i would like to correct this and install the correct drivers.

Sapphire Radeon HD 3850 AGP + Win7 X64 = Code 43
My m'board is Gigabyte GA-K8U-939 with Athlon X2 2.6 GHz and 3GB DDR. Windows 7 x64 detected the card but had an yellow symbol with the status code 43. Aero could not be enabled because of that. A poster torrentg seems to have sorted out this particular issue for a lot of people. I tried all his suggestions but the code 43 exists.

Sapphire HD 3850 AGP Card Driver Not Working In Win7
I have a Sapphire Radeon HD3850 AGP card in my system but windows will not install the driver from the latest release of the ATI Catalyst driver install. Instead it defaults to the Standard VGA From what i have read on these forums i may need to change some information the CH87739.inf file for the driver. I see a memeber called torrentg had posted a modified .inf file but the download limit has been reached. Is there any chance of posting again? Or perhaps positing its contents into the replay.

Disable Default VGA To Enable Another Graphic Card
I have a somewhat older Dell that is more than capable of running Windows 7 (it also runs Server 2008 R2 quite nicely). The problem is that the onboard ATI graphics only has 16MB of RAM and is only recognized as Standard VGA Adapter. This is really unjust, so I obtained an NVidia FX 5200 for next to nothing and placed it in a free PCI slot. Much to my surprise, the BIOS has no settings for disabling the onboard video. It also has no settings for instructing it to look to the PCI first. As a result, the onboard video is always active during POST. I disabled the onboard video from Device Manager, shut down, and installed the new NVidia PCI card. I rebooted with the monitor attached to the PCI card. Nothing. I switched the monitor to the onboard video and sure enough, there it was. The NVidia had also been detected and was showing up as a Standard VGA Adapter with Code 10 -- cannot start. Not a problem, I thought. I had yet to install the NVidia driver, and the onboard video had already claimed the default VGA during POST, so this was not surprising. I installed the recommended 96.85 Forceware drivers for the NVidia FX 5200. These are the Vista 64bit drivers. Windows accepted it without problem and I swapped the monitor back to the NVidia during the reboot. What I was expecting is that the display would be blank during boot because the onboard video is active. I assumed Windows would switch to the NVidia when it started because I had installed the driver and instructed it to disable the onboard video. I was wrong. Blank display. I switched back to the onboard video and my display returned. The Nvidia card was recognized in Device Manager and it was showing "This device is working properly". The onboard video still had the disabled icon next to it. Yet I cannot choose the NVidia when I go to Screen Resolution and other screen preferences. It is using a blank video adapter -- looks like VgaSave. Have I gone wrong somewhere? Or is there a more appropriate driver I should be using? Thoughts and suggestions would be helpful. Keep in mind the onboard video cannot be disabled in BIOS, nor can the BIOS be instructed to look to the PCI first for video. There are no BIOS updates available. There is no AGP slot, only two PCI slots. This is what I have to work with.

X64 Won't Detect GeForce Card, Only VGA
So, I upgraded from 32-bit Vista to Windows 7 RC. All went well, except for my computer now only detects (under Display Adapters) a Standard VGA Adapter. I have a Dell XPS M1530 notebook, and it came with a nVidia GeForce card, I believe it was a GeForce 8600M GT. I right-clicked and told it to check for hardware changes, but it will not detect the graphics card. Because of this, it is not displaying any of the Aero effects, etc, and my second monitor is not receiving any signal although it is properly connected. Does anyone know how I would be able to fix this?

 i have a personal computer , model Hp Compaq Dc 7100 i installed windows 7 build 7068 which work perfect,i could install all drivers normally from windows 7 Cd but i cant install vga card driver from CD My Vga Card is (Intel(R) 82915G GV 910GL Express Chipset Family)  but when i update my windows via internet it remind me with uninstalled driver for vga card and asking for my permission to install or no and when i click ok it will be installed Ok ..  but when i removed windows 7 Build 7068 and installed windows 7 Build 7100 same thing happen to me that vga card driver don't installed automatically and when i try to update my windows 7 Build 7100 via internet it does not given me even the driver for vga card, then i installed 7068 again and i installed vga card by using Microsoft update then i backed up the driver of vga card then i removed 7068 and i installed 7100 again and i tried to use or update my vga with backed up file but it give error message that this driver is not supported for this system.

ATI Driver For 4670
everytime I try a and install the ati 9.6 catalyst driver the screen flickers and then gets stuck on the background picture, not frozen still have sound and can still log in and out but all that shows is the background picture, no mouse, no nothing. Tried running as admin, compatibility mode, and multiple variations and still having no luck. Is there anybody that knows how to install the updated driver without messing up, some peoples theory was that the screen gives the hdmi output the priority, which would explain the screen. Anybody know?

Radeon X1900 Graphics Card Problem
I've been having this problem 2 days ago and it's a bit frustrating. I was just playing some games when it suddenly restarted automatically. My device manager doesn't seem to acknowledge my graphics card anymore for some apparent reason. I've tried plugging my monitor in my graphics card and it just seems like on a standby mode with the blank screen showing nothing. But when I plug my monitor to my motherboard port it shows up fine and is in the device manager. I've tried cleaning my drivers with "Driver Sweeper" then reinstalling the lastest driver for my graphics card, but that didn't do anything. I was hoping if anyone knows what's wrong with my graphics card . Thank you. Is my graphics card burnt/broken? EDIT: Graphics card - Radeon x1900

Radeon X1950 Graphics Card Not Working
I have a radeon X1950 pro AGP. Windows 7 recognizes it, but it still doesn`t work properly. I have updated the driver via Microsoft and still doesn`t work, have even tried Vista drivers. The card works fine on my XP sp 3 64 and 32 bit os. I have tried the compatability settings in Win 7 and nothing happens. Up til now very impressed with 7 but cannot afford new graphics card or motherboard.

Gigabyte Radeon 4770 Card Problem
Just installed a fresh version of Windows 7 RC 64 bit and also bought a new Gigabyte Radeon 4770 card to try out with it. After the initial installation, I couldn't figure out why the ATI Catalyst didn't seem to be installing the ATI Radeon Drivers. Looking at the Device Manager under Display Adapters, it shows my card as "Standard VGA Graphics Adapter". Then I tried update the drivers by selecting the "Search Online " for the drivers, no dice. After this I just gave up, and put my old card back in the system (PCI Radeon 2600XT). Upon reboot, it detected my card and installed the WDM ATI Drivers. So Windows does in fact detect and install this card. So I switch cards again, and unfortunately, reverted back to the Standard VGA Graphics Adapter. So I swapped again, and installed the latest and greatest ATI Catalyst drivers 9.4. Which installed and worked properly for my Radoen 2600XT (even started up a game). Great, so again I swapped, and again, dissapointed with the Standard VGA Graphics Adapter. Now the drivers have been installed, so I tried to manually update the driver by searching where the drivers were installed on my disk (installer/ system32/ sysWOW64) no dice. Therefore I would like to almost conclude at this point, that Windows 7 cannot identify my device since it is too new (it just came out last week). I have read reports of other people getting this to work on windows 7 RC, but possibly not 64 bit as the poster did not include that information. So in review: Whenever I tried to install the ATI Catalyst drivers from CD or downloaded online, it would never detect my ATI card to install the drivers. It however worked when I put in my old graphics card, I ran the installers again and had no problem detecting the card and asked to install the drivers. Even after installing the ATI Graphics drivers for the 2600 and stuck in the 4770, Windows 7 does not recognize that as another ATI card to use the drivers for. I see ati*.dll files in the system32 and sysWOW64 directory and assume these are the ATI Radeon drivers that Catalyst installed. So if my assumption is correct (and I could be totally wrong), Windows 7 just needs an update someplace that would identify this new card as a Radeon.

Radeon 5870 Video Card Problem
So just upgraded my system from Vista to W7. now everytime I unplug the monitor from my rig and reconnect it the video in WMP is all distorted and dark. I have to uninstall the video card and then load the drivers again.. Intel core I7 Asus x58 extreme MoBo Radeon 5870 750W silencer 6 GB ram

Radeon X600 Graphic Card Upgrade
My graphic card is the lowest score for my WEI and I'd like to make it a little higher. I have a 305w power supply so I'm not sure what card/s I could run before needing to upgrade my power supply. Right now I have a Radeon X600 graphic card in my computer. I don't know much about it or any of the better cards out there. I currently have a VGA and a DVI monitor. In the future (hopefully near) I would like to get a LCD TV and use HDMI. I don't need a VGA port as I have a supply of various connectors/adapters/cords to get VGA.

ATI 4670 Driver Problem - Catalyst 9.6
Everytime I try and install catalyst 9.6/driver, my screen will display only the background picture, nothing else. Ctrl-alt-del turns the screen black, esc out and back to background picture. Had to go safe mode and system restore everytime. Driver shows up in microsoft updates and same result. Anybody have any suggestions?

Radeon 4890 1GB Video Card Driver
I have windows 7 7600 x64 and using the newest official Catalyst drivers from ATI for the Radeon 4890 1GB video card I own. However I have noticed some little issues in games. Two games Im currently playing Trine, and Mass Effect show what I call a tear (its not anything missing) but when your running around you see a visible line move its way up the screen like your watching a fast refresh on PC-Anywhere or something. It does not effect the game at all, or slow it down and its not 100% of the time its when your running or moving side to side etc. Always while in motion. I thought maybe it was a vsync issue so Checked that in the graphic settings for Mass Effect but no difference. Does anyone know what Im referring to if there is a proper name and how I can go about reducing it or eliminating it in games? In Trine it does it as well when IM running and jumping around (side scroller).

Black Screen - Radeon 3650 Graphics Card
I've recently upgraded to windows 7 x86, and it works great. The only problem I have is that my ati mobility radeon 3650 graphics card doesn't seem to want to work. I've tried reinstalling the drivers several times using several different versions of the driver (win7beta, vista32, mobilitymodded, unmobilitymodded). Whenever I try starting up with the card enabled, the screen goes blank. After reinstalling the driver, everything but the wallpaper goes away. Can anyone help?

Screen Resolution Crash - Radeon 9200 Card
System crashes when I try to change screen resolution. It has a Radeon 9200 card which doesn't have a 7 driver but the XP driver when installed with "recommended settings" worked fine. The monitor I had on it for setup went up to 2048 x 1536 just fine. When I put the monitor on it will actuall work with it came up at 1024 x 768. The monitor goes to 1280 x 1024. I tried several times to change it and the moment I do I get a blue screen. I tried lowering to 800 x 600 and got the same result. In safe mode it went to 1280 x 1024 but on reboot it was back to 1024 x 768. Any ideas?

Install Issue With Radeon 4870x2 Graphics Card
So I've been using the windows 7 7000 build ever since it came out and its been running just fine on my setup. A couple days ago i downloaded the new RC 7100 build and when i tried to install it, i kept getting a blue screen. I don't remember why, but i concluded that the issue was my graphics card so i took out my Radeon 4870x2 and took my dad's card, a GeForce 8500 GT. Putting the GeForce in my pc worked and it installed smoothly with both 32bit and 64bit versions of windows 7 RC I then tried to put my Radeon back into my pc after installing with my geforce. Once it booted i got no signal to the monitor. After finding a work around my i got a blue screen after about 10 min. then it would not boot windows. I'm still stuck at the installation with my radeon when i put the cd in. i get a blue screen right after the logo thing starts to move, this is before any setup information comes up. In short, i cant get widows 7 RC to work with my graphics card.

Issue With ATI Radeon HD 2400 Video Card
I would send in a report from the windows 7 desktop but I can't access it, sort of. I was having issues with the installation of Windows 7 and kept getting memory dumps each time. Looking at the dump file it would be the following BugCheck 116, {fffffa8005218010, fffff880034207e8, 0, 2} Probably caused by : atikmdag.sys ( atikmdag!Dispatch_CollectDbgInfo+0 ) So the file is a driver for ATI videocards. I have an onboard video card also so I removed my ATI and installed it using that. Works perfect. No issues. I then downloaded from ATI their beta drivers for Windows 7 (Catalyst) for both x86 and x64. I get another error but that is with the Catalyst itself. I get error "Error Detecting" or something like that, but that is for ATI to look at. Now, I thought ok, it's my ATI Video card. But my wife has the same PC as me, so I took out her video card (damn she was not happy about that) and I installed it in my system. Rebooted PC to Windows 7. Same error message. I am installing Windows 7 on the following PC Acer Aspire M5100 Dual Core (AMD Athlon 64 Dual Core 6000+ 3.0Mhz ATI Radeon HD 2400 w/256 megs 4 Gigs of Ram 500 Gig harddrive SATA. Has anyone alese who has an ATI 2400 card been able to install this?
