Driver OFr ATI Radeon HD 4670 Doesn't Work

just purchased a new Pentium 4 3.4 GHz 32-bit processor with HyperTransport technology and a new AGP HIS ATI Radeon HD 4670 with IceQ and 1GB DDR3 RAM packed in a green and black box with this serial number H467QS1GHA. I also installed a new Windows 7 32-bit. I installed the drivers from the HIS CD that was packed with the graphics card but when I start up Windows I can't play any 3D games. Also a message from ATI Catalyst Control Center pops up saying that I don't have an ATI driver or the ATI driver is not working properly.I got these error mesages (I listed the games too)

I just bought a new acer (link) and proceeded to install windows 7 (64-bit) straight ahead. I must admit i made a bit of a mistake when i didn't check if the box it got shipped in contained any drivers or such (which it didn't to my surprise!)
Currently got experience with 32-bit Windows 7, but not with 64-bit which I've heard had a rough time with bugs. Because my system is a 64-bit platform i suppose this might be one of the reasons for my problems. On a side note, this system is shipped out with both onboard gfx and an extra card (the ATI 4670 one)
But on to the main issue; Currently my problem with this system is an issue regarding my ATI mobility radeon HD4670 GFX card. (This is the drivers I've tried soo far:
ATI Catalystâ„¢ Mobility Display Driver - Directly downloaded from the ati.amd.com site (this is by chance also the latest native win 64-bit driver) http://www.acer.com - Go to the driver section and select the right system (Acer Aspire 8935G).
Sadly there is no windows 7 drivers atm, only vista ones. Without any drivers, this is how my Device Manager list my display units. As you will notice windows update have already found some driver for it. But the Device will not start (This device cannot start. (Code 10))

I have Radeon HD 3850 AGP and Windows 7, and I tried to do almost everything .I installed 9.12 drivers, 9.12 drivers with adding CL_91526 from the topic above), 9.11 drivers,9.11 drivers with Hotfix (ATI), 9.11 drivers with adding CL_91526, manual driver install by right click.Absolutely no changes and everytime the same ... During and after installing (before reboot) no changes in Device Manager, having "ATI Radeon 3850 " (or "ATI Radeon 3800 series" or something like that...) with yellow triangle and Microsoft Co. driver. And after reboot no changes with it, an error message with something like "Driver didn't install correctly, please install proper driver" ( though in ATI install log you can see that everything was installed succesfully). So after reboot I still see my VGA like "ATI Radeon 3800 series" with Microsoft driver and of course no changes in monitor resolution and all. If I try to delete microsoft driver (and device), and then install radeon drivers , during installation I absolutely just don't have any VGA in Device manager. And after reboot Windows 7 "finds" VGA and install from internet microsoft driver, so I can see "ATI Radeon HD 3850 (Microsoft Corporation WDDM 1.1)" in Device Manager.

I have an Acer Aspire Z5610 all-in-one desktop. Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit.History: I was getting a blue screen, generally when multitasking and streaming video going.A friend suggested a video card driver upgrade, which did in fact resolve that problem. A few months down the road, the computer would just suddenly shut down. No blue screen. Found and installed an updated driver (8.920.0.0 date 11/9/2011), but didn't resolve problem.The only thing that seems to prevent the shut downs is to change the "theme" to "Windows 7 Basic", without any HD wallpapers. Additionally, moving windows around is not smooth and remnants of closed windows stay on the screen occasionally.Found some threads here that mentioned a conflict between Intel chips default video driver and the ATI driver, but only the ATI card shows up in the device manager.I just assume it's the video card or driver because changes in how the graphics are displayed seem to effect the shutting down. Some have suggested it's the RAM or mother board.

Had a frustrating afternoon trying to get my triple-monitor setup going again; I had WinXP for years with two video cards: a single, simple VGA / PCI card, and a recent Radeon HD 4670 card with two outputs. Under XP everything was recognized without incident, first repeating all three monitors and then able to extend windows to this monitor under Display Preferences.
Now under Windows 7 RC, I did a fresh install with both cards inserted, and only the single VGA card would drive its monitor. The HD 4670 drivers are listed in the Device Manager, I removed and installed the ATI 9.9 version software several times, and the single VGA output is the only thing I get. I even tried the 'F8', selected the unsigned drivers, and still it didn't bring the Radeon to life.
I pulled the single VGA card out, and bam the two monitors off the Radeon come alive. I install the CCC and it works just fine. And then I shutdown, add the VGA card back, and get the single VGA output again.

I have a HP laptop on which there are 2 GPU`s one Intel 3000 and a Radeon HD 6490 M. At first I had a problem setting my Radeon GPU as main GPU. Because Radeon is more powerful I want it as primary but when i deactivate the Intel the screen gets all low-res and i cant change it up. On the other side, when i only disable the Radeon, the screen is still perfect. I have checked in game settings on differnt games and the GPU used is the Intel 3000 I wanted and still want to have Radeon as primary cuz of gaming. I still cant set the Radeon as primary.Installing new drivers from the AMD website doesnt work eighter. All i get is a catalyst with almost no options (2 mb). And when I start my laptop I always get as message reading: "the catalyst driver is not supported by the driver version of your enabled graphics adapter. please update your AMD graphics driver. or enable your AMD adapter using the Display Manager" W.T.F it is enabled in Display Maneger.

Everytime I try and install catalyst 9.6/driver, my screen will display only the background picture, nothing else. Ctrl-alt-del turns the screen black, esc out and back to background picture. Had to go safe mode and system restore everytime. Driver shows up in microsoft updates and same result. Anybody have any suggestions?

problem with my W-LAN device. Recently I�ve got a strange feeling about it because some things didn�t work correctly, so I decided to reinstall the driver. It didn�t work directly (I don�t know why), so I tried to uninstall it first, to install it again. Now I got this message: This device is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device. (Code 31)An update for the latest driver was useless because I already got the latest one. I tried both installing it from the device manager several times, which failed everytime with this message to come, and by the driver setup (there is a folder available on my computer with all drivers installed on it), which seemed not to have any effect, although it said "Installation complete".

I'm running the german version of Windows 7 x64, so here is the original message I get when I click on "USB" in the menu-bar:
"Der für die USB-Funktionalität erforderliche Virtualisierungstreiber funktioniert nicht."
It's something like this in english:
"The driver necessary for the SUB-functionality doesn't work."
The problem appeared after I installed VMWare if I remember right (didn't use XP-Mode for a while). It worked well before.
All other features, like the integration features, work well.
I uninstalled VMWare and reinstalled XP-mode but it didn't help.
Any hints?

i have a sapphire HD 5770 a little over a yr now and recently it started giving problems and now it does not wrk most of the time. what happens is that when the computer is turned on the card starts up (the lights on the back of the card light up green and soon after they start to flicker and turn off and the fan spins really fast and loud as if there is no six pin power connector in the card. i gave it to a friend to check it for me and it wrked in his system for about 4 days str8 the started to chip off.

I installed a radeon gigabyte 6850 graphics card in to my computer a long time ago and after I made the switch from Nvidia to Radeon my input jacks and output jacks stopped working. Usually I can live with it and use my laptop or phone for skype but I've just bought a game on steam and I can't use steam voice chat on a different system then play on my gaming system at the same time and playing games with my friends without voice chat is unacceptable.When I plug a mic in it says its working and it shows up in realtek hd audio but when i try to use it with anything it doesnt work. The bar doesnt even go up when i test it in windows 7 so it must be muted. I've tested the mic with a laptop before so it definitely works. I've reinstalled realtek hd drivers. I think the problem is I'm using hdmi to connect my tv and use it as a monitor and apparently using hdmi sound from amd cards mute all other sounds. I need the speakers on my tv as they are my only speakers, and buying new speakers or a sound card is not a possible option right now. And even if I could get speakers, my tv only connects via hdmi anyway so the sound would still be muted so I really need this fix. how I can get windows 7 sound to work while using hdmi from a radeon graphics card to output sound to my speakers? Does anyone use hdmi to connect their display to an amd graphics card?

I have a Satellite 215 A4747 laptop with Vista, which has the Radeon x1200 video card.
Now it may be the fact that I installed the 64 bit version of Windows 7 and the card just does not have the driver support for it, but I spent 2 hours trying different things and it will not take. I am going to try the 32 bit version tonight and see if I have better luck. I reinstalled Vista in the interim, but not happy with vista.

the latest update driver is Vista, and it says I won't update it anymore, at least thats what I think, you can go look to the site and look for yourself. And so thats what I did, but since this is not Vista, it makes the wallpaper black and stays that way, but when i restart it, it screen gets messy, and I had to System Restore. My Question is, is there anyway to make the graphic card work on Windows 7, at least this one?

i installed windows 7, and everything seemed to work fine.
installed a bunch of programs, they also all seem to work.
but then i decided to do some backups; i created the rescue cd using windows, and then cloned the hard drive also using windows 7.
but then i noticed the backup program, and decided to click on "set up backup"; nothing happens.
if i try the same from a disk drive/properties (ie click on backup there) nothing happens either.
any ideas? maybe something i installed broke this, but it seems like a pretty basic function to break like this.

Basically, I bought a new USB stick and plugged it in. My computer would search for windows updates, but it would never find the ones required, and the USB wouldn't install. When I unplug the USB and plug it back in again, the computer doesn't even recognize it, and nothing happens. Currently, my computer is not updated, so that's one thing I won't try. I've installed windows 7 updates numerous times in the past, and every time I did, my computer would have problems starting up (i.e. my desktop would be a black screen when it starts and I can't do anything, or the place where I enter my password to log in doesn't load at all).

I'm unable to play games requiring DirectX 11, even though I've downloaded it perhaps half a dozen times. Having stumped myself I decided I may as well ask here. The only feedback I've received from things not working is Civilization V says "Requires Service Pack 2 or greater" As far as I know DirectX doesn't update in the Service pack format, and that Windows 7 SP2 doesn't exist yet, and shouldn't be needed for a game of early 2010 as-is. I have an ASUS U56E, with the on-board i5 graphics(I thought it might be that, but my brother's i3 runs said DirectX fine, so maybe mine is damaged) and I, quite frankly, do not want to run it back into Best Buy and hope that it's covered by warranty.
