I tried USB adapter and where it normally loads it just says it's installed but shows up in device manager. Like thw tealtek nic with yellow triangle on it. If I try an update driver it returns "parameter is incorrect" message. Its not connected and the is no IP using ipconfig. I Lost all my software CDs and emails with serials etc in a house fire last year.

View 1 Replies View RelatedToday, I managed to redecorate my bedroom; where my computer sat on top of a shaky, wooden desk. That desk is now gone, caput, and replaced by a much bigger, sturdier and prettier glass replacement. Before I dissasembled the computer to re-decorate, I was able to browse the internet at ease. There were no problems at all...However, after the new desk was setup - and all wires replaced in their correct slots, I find that I am unable to connect to the internet, or even the house's network! For the past year, I have been wired to the router using a RTL8168C(P)/8111C(P) Family PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet NIC. It was plugged into an extension cord, in my room, into the Ethernet port in the back of my computer. Downstairs, it's twin was situated no less than 2 feet away from the router - plugged into the first port. Now, when I boot up the computer, the network notification presents the following message: "Unidentified Network. No network access", and sometimes presents a yellow ! next to it. So, I am reduced to typing on my mother's laptop - which has no problems connecting to the network.I am able to use the ipconfig /release command, but unable to use the /renew - it hangs in the command prompt, then tells me that the DHCP server cannot be located. The IP, beforehand, was reverted to 169.254.223.117 - before all of this, I was 192.168.0.5?
View 2 Replies View RelatedAt the moment I'm using Netgear AV200 powerline adapters and need to add 2 more adapters to my setup.Do I have to stick with Netgear or can I use another brand if they are both compliant with HomePlug AV1 standard and the same speed (200Mbps)Edit: Well apparently all powerline adapters are compatible as long as they are the same type (i.e. Homeplug AV or DS2), so I'll be getting more affordable pair of adapters...
View 1 Replies View RelatedWe have just purchased a new computer with Windows 7 at our office and we were told there weren't any wireless network adapters that were compatible yet for 7. All of the other computers are Windows Vista and they have Ativa Wireless Network Adapters that work fine. It will not work with this new computer. Any suggestions of how to get up and running on the Internet?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI am having problems with any type of Network Card or Network USB adapter working with my PC running Windows 7. I had a LinkSys WMP54G PCI card working on this computer about a year ago as I was needing to use a wireless connection but then I didn't use it for 6 months. When I went to use it again, it wouldn't pick up connections at all. Thinking it was an issue with the card, I picked up a Edimax 7612UAn USB adapter thinking it should work out of the box.
When I plug the USB adapter in, the standard Windows driver installation tries to run but an error message occurs stating "Device driver software was not successfully installed" accompanied by "Realtek RTL8191SU Wireless LAN 802.11n USB Failed". If I try to install the drivers manually, nothing changes and in Device Manager the following error message is displayed under Device Status "This device is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device. (Code 31)".
My problem is that i bought some 1gb belkin powerline adapters to give me a better connection in my house than my wireless previously did. However i plugged them in and boom "Unidentified Network - No internet access".Now at first i thought it was because i had them plugging in through and extension lead downstairs so i removed all than and plugged them straight into the wall. This didnt help at all.I read some forums about turning of IPV6 cos apparently.

In the "connect to a network menu", one shows working internet connection, while the other one shows no internet access, How do I get rid of those entries? I dont mind messing with the registry or the system files.
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhenever I boot up or disable/enable a network adapter it takes 1-3 minutes before I actually connect. After waiting, I'll see the little round circle spinning in the system tray and then i'm able to connect. While waiting for my adapter to work I noticed under tcp/ip settings that my gateway field is blank. If I put it in and go back, it's still blank. When the adapter finally connects it then shows up in the gateway field.Tried uninstalling AV, different drivers for LAN and wireless and reloading OS.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have this device "WAN Miniport (IKEv2)" under Network Adapters and it's always listed as not working. I disabled it a long time ago but it always comes up as an error when I scan my computer. It won't update the driver, Windows always says that there was an error, and as far as I can see it doesn't do anything but it won't let me remove it even though it isn't working.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI am running Windows 7 Home Premium (64 bit) on a Dell Inspiron 560. I am using a DI-524 D-Link wireless router. I have an Acer Aspire One Net Book running Windows XP Home it is equipped with an internal wireless network adapter. I can connect/communicate with router and access the internet with no problems whatever. However, when I connect an external wireless network adapter e.g. Alpha AWUS036H I cannot get a connection when I disable my internal network adapter. I have also tried the Trendnet TEW-424UB USB external wireless network adapter and the symptoms are exactly the same. If I leave home and use another Wireless point of access I have no trouble connecting using the external adapters which means the problem is confined to my personal home network. I have removed and reinstalled my router, and the network adapters drivers etc. I have uninstalled my Norton Firewall and and disabled my Windows firewall to no avail. I have removed my WEP security features and tried to run it open with no improvement. I have connected the external network adapters on a neighbours computer running XP to see if I could connect to my home network. That didn't work as well. Bottom line is I simply cannot get an external wireless network adapter to work with my router. Yet my internal netbook adapter connects with no problems at all.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have over 50 virtual networking adapters in device manager, I have posted this question in many forums, and still cannot get rid of these pesky unused extra adapters. I know they have been created by using Virtualbox, and by creating many virtual machines and updating virtualbox. Unfortunately, I have tried uninstalling virtualbox and the drivers all remain in devicemanager. DeviceMgmt also does not allow me to uninstall or delete the adapters, (When I do they just stay there, even after rebooting.)I most likely have to go into the registry and delete them, but they are in so many different places there, I need to know the correct place to delete them. I have a bet that this is the forum where I will get the answer for this even though I have posted in virtualbox forums, technet, MSDN, superuser, serverfault, and stackoverflow.
View 7 Replies View RelatedAnyways my problem is that my vaio is running Windows 7 64bit and suddenly one morning NONE of the network adapters were working. No WiFi, no ethernet, no nothing. I figured something just happened to the drivers (happened before) so i'd just reinstall them...except this time I'm hit with:
Code :This device is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device. (Code 31)
I have tried everything short of a full restore. I tried downloading the drivers straight from Sony, just the driver files for Atheros, I can't do a restore point since I don't have any from before the problem. I have searched everywhere for a working solution but haven't found anything yet. I would like to avoid sending it in.....it's still under warranty but I don't have a Sony store near me and I'm gonna be going out of town in a couple weeks..
Just thought i would post a workaround, fix, solution for this until ms does possibly.... although it may be a belkin problem to fix
Hardware affected: Belkin Network USB Hub F5l009
Situation: Installing and getting usb network hub to communicate
Problem: Constant disconnecting of drives and Control Center crash/hang on exit. Under Windows 7 the drives/printer would connect, but then upon initial scan of a device it would close the connection, losing it completely, but still showing the device and devices attached to hub available on the network, not disabled like i have seen it show before when a problem with a device on the hub would occur.
Resolution(s): First running both the install software under vista comp and the actual connect.exe (Control Center) under vista comp after install before initial run. Secondly, under XP this device worked fine without having to manually port forward the hub thru the router. Whether a flaw with the software under XP or the utilization of Upnp under XP (which i use on xp and network).
Quick solve: Make sure to forward the ports manually, both tcp and udp. Also putting the device on DMZ will not work..
I have a Belkin USB Network hub.
Works like a dream on Windows XP.
Now I have it on Windows 7 Ultimate 64Bit.
Works ok when installed. After reboot it doesn't work anylonger.
Firewall is switched off.
What could be the culprit ?.
It's the F5L009 one.
Wnated devices is seen when Windows 7 starts up, but can nor connect.
My Network Adapters has suddenly disappeared after a Critical update by Windows update, now my network is X'ed out. I already did reformat and still nothing and in the past all I do is to System restore but after a while it had errors and I was forced to reformat but after that there's still no connection.
View 5 Replies View RelatedIn Windows Home Premium 64bit we encounter this problem on a machine after trying to uninstall a norton product manually. The norton software led to serious problems of randomly emerging BSODs.As system uninstall did not work we researched a tutorial on how to manually uninstall the soft.t can be found here Enterprise Support - Symantec Corp. - How to manually uninstall the Symantec Endpoint Protection client from Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 2008 R2 64-bitEverything worked smoothly until the last three steps of the routine failed (12.-14We can not uninstall/delete the wireless network adapters as described. After clicking "uninstall" there is the window that asks for confirmation (to uninstall) but after clicking "yes" the device manager window simply refreshes - and the device remains unchanged.
View 4 Replies View RelatedThe comp started BSOD'ing out of nowhere, a new adapter I think called ISATAP or something like that shows up under network adapters in device manager which had a yellow exclamation icon. (Code: 31). Disabling or uninstalling its drivers resulted in BSOD's. Googled around and found the only way to fix it was to delete some registry entries, so without backing up the registry I deleted some keys. I don't remember which keys but the image above is the result. I got Ubuntu live booted up and using it to post this because my Win 7 installation obviously can't connect to the Internet.
*I tried reinstalling drivers (Marvel Yukon & Belkin), disabling and enabling stuff but nothing seems to be happening.
*Got some registry fixing tools or whatever, still the same.
Anyways i just got my windows 7 ultimate working and everything is working fine expect my network adapter. I installed the vista drivers found on the belkin website. Which did the trick and made it work. But i noticed every 2 hours or so the adapter would disconnect from my internet while everyone else in the house who are on xp/vista works percfectly.
Now im not sure if this is because my network adapter isn't compatilbe with windows 7 or something else. Oh and im using Belkin Wire G+ Mimo ver 3001
Can anyone help me out, and also is anyone else getting this problem If there is nothing i can do what network adapter would you guys recommend which works with windows 7 and i can get in the uk :P?
I recently purchased a Belkin wireless network adapter for my HP windows 7 computer, and the checkout woman said it would work.
Unfortunately, it does not work. at first, it was just dodgy, connecting with only a small connection. It started getting better, but it would always cut out after a while.
A friend of mine tried to fix it, using lots of methods including the xlink kai method and others including downloading the drivers and another one which I can't remember. None have worked.
Has anyone got a really easy, fool-proof, easy understandable way to make this work please?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've had this problem with my Windows 7 64bit OS ever since it updated a while back (I'm not sure what updates). The wireless adapter that was already installed stopped working, then two successive new wireless adapters (both usb) failed to work as well. The computer just refuses to detect them (although it beeps to indicate it knows a device has been plugged in). A lot of the methods I searched for to fix this issue told me to look in Device Manager, which is empty... None of the methods I've found have worked (Editing permissions etc). I'm tempted to just re-install Windows.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm having an issue with installing the driver for my Ralink Turbo Wireless PCI Card.
I'm dual booting Windows 7 Ultimate (64-bit) on a seperated partition from Windows XP Professional.
The card appears in Device Manager as an unknown network device located on PCI slot 1, which is correct. Obviously, because I'm not connected to the internet via wireless for Windows 7, I can't use Live Update to find drivers for it.
From the Ralink website, I found an installation for Windows 7, however once the program has been run, no driver is installed for the card. I've tried installing multiple Ralink drivers from the built in ones that Windows 7 contains, but all of them fail to install for an unknown reason.
Just wondering, does anyone have any information that may benefit me?
