Unable To Uninstall Wireless Network Adapters From Device Manager?

In Windows Home Premium 64bit we encounter this problem on a machine after trying to uninstall a norton product manually.The norton software led to serious problems of randomly emerging BSODs.As system uninstall did not work we researched a tutorial on how to manually uninstall the soft.t can be found here Enterprise Support - Symantec Corp. - How to manually uninstall the Symantec Endpoint Protection client from Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 2008 R2 64-bitEverything worked smoothly until the last three steps of the routine failed (12.-14We can not uninstall/delete the wireless network adapters as described. After clicking "uninstall" there is the window that asks for confirmation (to uninstall) but after clicking "yes" the device manager window simply refreshes - and the device remains unchanged.

I've had this problem with my Windows 7 64bit OS ever since it updated a while back (I'm not sure what updates). The wireless adapter that was already installed stopped working, then two successive new wireless adapters (both usb) failed to work as well. The computer just refuses to detect them (although it beeps to indicate it knows a device has been plugged in). A lot of the methods I searched for to fix this issue told me to look in Device Manager, which is empty... None of the methods I've found have worked (Editing permissions etc). I'm tempted to just re-install Windows.

My Network Adapters has suddenly disappeared after a Critical update by Windows update, now my network is X'ed out. I already did reformat and still nothing and in the past all I do is to System restore but after a while it had errors and I was forced to reformat but after that there's still no connection.

I am having trouble getting my vodaphone dongle for internet access on the road installed. My PC refuses to install the drivers properly. It worked fine but it has been about 9 months since I last used it. I have made sure I have the latest drivers downloaded from vodaphone and when I try the dongle in my sons laptop it installs and works fine. I thought I would uninstall the driver from device manager but when I try to do this it just sits there for hours. I have to end up closing device manager down using task manager. I am running Windows 7 on an HP G62 Notebook.

I have a hp pavilion dv9700 running windows 7 home premium,and the atheros wireless device keeps disapearing out of the device manager and stops working sometimes it works again if i reboot ,i have tried a replacement but the same happens.

I got this PC 3 weeks ago. For two days now Several of my devices have a Code 10 on start up. For instance my mouse in the Device Manager window has a code 10 and will not work until I use the trouble shooter and it re-installs the driver. I have tried updating the USB drivers as many recommend but there were no updates. I tried Microsoft's fix it, and it was not fixed.

I had a problem with the computer after a storm it turns to not have internet. After I checked and saw I could'n connect to internet through the modem with a broadband connection. Than checked Device Manager and there was not a network controller and everything was in order no question marks or yellow rectangles. Than tried to re install windows 7. After I tried to install the realtek driver for me LAN it show up the message The RealTek Network Adapter/Controller was not found.

I just got a brand new comp it was working fine for a few months and it stopped working properly. It was acting funny and freezing sometimes then I got on another day and then it says No network adapter or driver is installed,also im booted off my internet and 3 of my usbs stopped working also. I've tried system restore the disc they gave me reinstalling the drivers. I finally got the usbs to work again but today they stopped.Under "Device Manager" there is no network options.I have done a boot-time scan along with and antivirus.

I noticed that I don't have any Internet connection (red x) but my laptop seems to have Internet connection. I checked my Device Manager and it seems that Network Adapter is missing instead there is 'Other Device' and below it was a 'Unknown Device' (with a yellow exclamation mark). I tried to install the driver but no luck via USB. I also did a system restore point but still no luck. I also tried to 'Scan for hardware changes' and still again, no luck... It's still unknown device.
I searched the Internet and they said the resetting the CMOS will solve this problem, is this true?
My specs:
Processor: AMD Athlon II x2 250 3.00GHz

HeI am at wits end here trying to figure out how to fix this pc. A friend came to me with the Acer Aspire One D255E with a wireless internet issue. The PC is Running Windows 7 Starter 32-bit. I immediately thought "well there must be a switch that she turned off" There is no switch on the computer for the wireless card. I thought "well there must be a driver issue, Ill go to the device manager and update the driver for it". Then when I got to the device manager... Nothing shows up for a wireless lan card even existing in the laptop, but I know it does, because A) It's a "net Book" B) she was using the internet last week. So, I thought maybe it's not showing up because thee computer needs the drivers for it first, which is unusual, but since its windows 7 starter I thought it needed a kick in the rear to get it goin. So i downloaded all the drivers for the PC using a different computer, and installed the different drivers to see which one would work. Well none of them worked, and now im sitting here scratching my head on what to do next. I have scoured the web and seen a few other people with issues like this.

Windows 7 64 Bit, does not detect ANY network adapters. We installed windows in August and it has been fine, now for some reason it simply doesn't detect any adapters at all and does not display a Network Adapters heading in the device manager folder treeThe hardware in question is an onboard LAN card on a ASUS Sabertooth X58 motherboard, the lan card is listed in the bios as a RTL8110SCLANI have checked to be sure that the device is enabled in the BIOS, as well as disabling other on board devices in case there was some kind of conflict. I just installed Windows 7 on an Acer Aspire 7551. The internal wireless network adapter does not appear in the device manager. So I am using an external USB wireless adapter until I get the internal one to work. I tried to contact Acer but if the system is out of warranty, you can drop dead for all they care. I went to their support website and downloaded a driver for 'Wireless LAN Driver'. They have two different vendors. I chose Broadcom. It downloaded a zip file and I don't know how to install it.

It was working fine, I didn't install or change nothing (mostly is used as MediaCenter). It was working perfectly without any change for months. Then I shutdown one day as always, and when I reboot the next day no network is present.The PC is an Acer Aspire X3900 desktop with an integrated intel NIC. This is what I have seen: In the Windows 7 network configuration panel there isn't any NIC present. IPCONFIG shows nothing, no adapter is listed (is not like when you unplug the network cable and the adapter is listed buy without the IPs; now the command shows nothing at all). But, and that is the weird thing, in device manager all seems fine. The Intel NIC is listed without any warning mark. Looking the properties, all looks ok. This is what I had already try: I reinstalled the NIC drivers. No changes. Reinstalled the chipset drivers. No changes. Uninstalled NIC drivers with an Intel utility. Then I rebooted and reinstalled the drivers when windows detected the new hw. No changes. Disabled the NIC adapter in device manager, reboot and re-enable. No changes. Uninstalled the NIC adapter in device manager. Reboot and re-install the drivers when windows detect the new hw.No changes. Disabled the NIC adapter in BIOS. Boot windows, shutdown, re-enable the adapter in BIOS, and reboot. einstall the drivers. No change. Recover the system from an old recover point, but no change.

Yesterday I got my friend to download windows 7 on my mac via bootcamp. I got it back today and I tried my wireless at home but didn't work. So I tried LAN line as well, which didn't work either. I went through few sites, they all told me to go on device manager and update my drives. The problem is that i can't find either modem or network adapter on my device manager.

Just reformatted my alienware laptop because I haven't used it in months. Now I don't even see "Network Adapter" listed under device manager so when trying to install the driver i don't think it had any effect. Running m15x windows 7 home premium 64 bit.

I have an emachines em350, I installed Windows 7 as a clean install onto a new hard drive.
It's al sweet except the sound and network adapters have not installed. In fact it seems that Windows 7 is declaring they never existed in the first place.
I have retrieved the latest drivers, Windows 7 spits them out stating that the devices are not present. I have tried the older versions using compatibility mode. I have tried install legacy hardware. I have tried to flush them out through command prompt. Nothing.
The sound 'card' (which I believe to be onboard) is seen by device manager, but refuses to have anything*to do with drivers.
The LAN I also believe is part of the motherboard, but it just won't show at all.

I cannot for the life of me get my internet to work.. more specifically it keeps telling me I need to install network drivers.I checked BIOS and LAN settings are all good.I've tried installing a realtek driver update.On my device manager not the network adapter tree does not even show up. my brother's hdd in his laptop was going bad, it kept failing to boot. so i replaced it with another one. when i turned the laptop back on it started installing all the drivers for his hardware (windows was already installed on the 2nd hdd) and prompted me to reboot. after i did windows failed to start several times. i re-installed windows from scratch, and now his graphics card isn't showing up in device manager and windows cant find a driver for the network or ethernet card.

Today, I managed to redecorate my bedroom; where my computer sat on top of a shaky, wooden desk. That desk is now gone, caput, and replaced by a much bigger, sturdier and prettier glass replacement.Before I dissasembled the computer to re-decorate, I was able to browse the internet at ease. There were no problems at all...However, after the new desk was setup - and all wires replaced in their correct slots, I find that I am unable to connect to the internet, or even the house's network! For the past year, I have been wired to the router using a RTL8168C(P)/8111C(P) Family PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet NIC. It was plugged into an extension cord, in my room, into the Ethernet port in the back of my computer. Downstairs, it's twin was situated no less than 2 feet away from the router - plugged into the first port.Now, when I boot up the computer, the network notification presents the following message: "Unidentified Network. No network access", and sometimes presents a yellow ! next to it. So, I am reduced to typing on my mother's laptop - which has no problems connecting to the network.I am able to use the ipconfig /release command, but unable to use the /renew - it hangs in the command prompt, then tells me that the DHCP server cannot be located. The IP, beforehand, was reverted to 169.254.223.117 - before all of this, I was 192.168.0.5?

Prior to Saturday morning, my computer was able to detect the router and connect to the internet. However, as of yesterday, my computer is no longer able to see any wireless networks.My dad did change the frequency of the router yesterday, but all the other PC's in the house are able to connect again - except for mine. I've tried rebooting the livebox, rebooting my PC, pressing the wi-fi button, changing my adapter's usb slot and also reinstalling my adapter's drivers. None of these have made a difference.

Just started having problems connection to any network or internet. Have new lappy that was working great until today. I am going out of town for a while and I was setting up my Slingbox. Somewhere along the line, I lost ANY connections, even to the router.
Have tried 3 different restore points. Can connect with wire to the router & get internet. HP, 64 bit.

Have a brand new pavailion quad cord windows 7 home premium 64bit. i also purchased a usb wireless adapter[url]...
this adapter was working fine for a few hours. the internet connection is cable, the adapter gets about two bars of connectivity, and now when i try to connect to network i get unable to connect to network. i have removed the wirless network, have added it back, entered the security key and nothing. i have a netgear wireless router. not sure what the deal is. i have made sure the power settings on the adapter are off, and this adapter doesnt seem to have the sleep mode option on it. windows 7 also found the drivers automatically. the machine is brand new, other machines/devices on in the house get to the internet just fine.
