Wireless Device Keeps Disapearing Out Of Device Manager And Stops Working
Jan 22, 2012I have a hp pavilion dv9700 running windows 7 home premium,and the atheros wireless device keeps disapearing out of the device manager and stops working sometimes it works again if i reboot ,i have tried a replacement but the same happens.

Jan 15, 2013I'm having problems with my wireless networkcard. Sometimes i can connect to the Internet with it but at other times, I am simply unable to connect. Windows detects that there is a problem between my computer, the router, and the Internet. There are five other devices in my house that are able to connect flawlessly. I am currently only able to connect using a wi-fi adapter but this soultuion is awkward as i have only two available USB ports.

Oct 2, 2010Last night my wireless adapter (Atheros AR5007EG Wireless Network Adapter) stopped working. In the properties it says it is working properly, however,it will not find a single wireless network to connect to, only the big red X over the icon in the system tray. My wife's laptop which is 5 feet from mine, finds our network as well as several of our neighbors. I upgraded to Windows 7 last month, so this morning I tried updating drivers, installed these but still the big red X. My laptop will work with the ethernet cable plugged in, just not wireless.I am stumped because it says it is working properly in the properties menu and not returning any errors during troubleshooting. I know its not my router, as my xbox, ipod touch, android phone, and wife's laptop can connect and work fine. Since she and I have the same laptop, I made sure that our properties settings were the same this morning as well, and they match up.

Jan 9, 2012So I have wireless internet in my house through an xfinity cable/internet modem. While I was trying to set up my new printer on the wireless network, my wireless stopped working. My computer is showing it has a full signal from my wireless network, however it unable to connect. Also, if I connect my computer via ethernet cable the internet works without a problem. Also, my 3 other roommates can no longer connect to the wireless and nothing was done with their computers. I've tried unplugging the modem and plugging it back in after 30 seconds as recommended, but nothing changed.

Aug 5, 2012I have had my HP Pavilion dm4 for a year and a half now, and when my school gave me a copy of Windows 7 Enterprise (it came with Windows 7 Home) I installed it and all the necessary drivers, and everything's been running smoothly - til now.Tonight all of a sudden my Internet connection showed that it was connected but had "limited connectivity" - aka no Internet. So I restarted my router - no luck. Then I restarted my computer, and my F12 wireless button showed orange - meaning that wireless capability was turned off entirely. It wouldn't turn back on even if I pushed the button, so I went into Control Panel and did some diagnostic thing and it forced the wireless capability back on and it worked again. For about an hour. Then the button went orange again and the diagnostic couldn't turn it back on.So, I went into wireless connections and disabled and reenabled the actual connection rather than the adapter, and it worked again - for about another hour.I don't think it should be a driver problem seeing as I can make it turn back on for certain periods of time and it's worked fine until now. Does anyone know what to do?

Mar 12, 2011When I went to add a new Bluetooth keyboard (Control Panel>Add Devices).When pressing Add Device, nothing happens.I have two Bluetooth devices already installed, are listed under "Devices" are "found" and work fine.Problem is that, I can not either add new devices or, remove any of my Bluetooth devices already installed.Click Add Printer - fine, the wizard starts.Add Device - nothing."Remove Device" - when a device is highlighted for removal, the system appears to be "working" for a moment, but then does not remove the device, it remains.Have checked that Services related to Bluetooth have not been disabled but am wondering if anyone knows if there are any specific services that would be required for Add Devices or Removal of Devices to function? Oct 1, 2009my experience with the TEW-424UB V2 wireless UsB device, but first things first:
1. I got a PCI TRENDnet TEW-423PI card which I installed and drivers and software were running ok, until suddenly the device died. Don't really know what happened but never really worked out; I tested it in WinXp system and failed... So I do not recommend to get this device it's kinda crappy.
2. I got a TEW-424UB V2 device and installed it in my Dell Inspiron 1525(running Windows 7) with an alternative Ethernet connection to internet, so I plugged it and Windows told me instantly "the device is not going to work" so I tried installing the drivers from TRENDnet and got a BSOF, I uninstalled everything and plugged it again, I waited a few seconds and windows told me that there are alternate drivers for the device that I should try, so I went over the other manufacturer website and downloaded the other drivers, surprise they worked and the brand is totally different is not TRENDnet, its from silicon integrated Systems so kinda weird (if anyone need this drivers just ask).
3. I removed it from that laptop cuz it already has a working wireless connection and plugged into my main desktop with the drivers on a memory flash, I got it running until I started downloading something and got a BSOD then I reboot the pc and it wasn't able to connect to the net and every time I disabled the device to enable it again got BSOD all the way... I uninstalled everything and got it running again... but I cant download things, just browse the internet and chat. weird stuff...

Nov 8, 2011i just bought a Trust Thinity wireless media keyboard. It comes with no disc or drivers and the usb receiver is just plug and play.When I plug it in it gives me the message "One of the usb devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned."If I keep unplugging and plugging back in it eventually picks up the drivers and installs, unitil I switch off my computer and then its back to square one.
All my motherboard drivers are up to date and bios is on latest version. Iv tryed uninstalling all my USB controllers and restarting. Iv even installed a fresh copy of Windows 7 64bit and 32bit to see if that made any difference but it hasnt.
The keyboard is brand new and I have tryed it on XP and it picked it up, installed the drivers and worked straight away.

The wireless adapter that was already installed stopped working, then two successive new wireless adapters (both usb) failed to work as well. The computer just refuses to detect them (although it beeps to indicate it knows a device has been plugged in). A lot of the methods I searched for to fix this issue told me to look in Device Manager, which is empty... None of the methods I've found have worked (Editing permissions etc). I'm tempted to just re-install Windows.

Jan 25, 2013HeI am at wits end here trying to figure out how to fix this pc. A friend came to me with the Acer Aspire One D255E with a wireless internet issue. The PC is Running Windows 7 Starter 32-bit. I immediately thought "well there must be a switch that she turned off" There is no switch on the computer for the wireless card. I thought "well there must be a driver issue, Ill go to the device manager and update the driver for it". Then when I got to the device manager... Nothing shows up for a wireless lan card even existing in the laptop, but I know it does, because A) It's a "net Book" B) she was using the internet last week. So, I thought maybe it's not showing up because thee computer needs the drivers for it first, which is unusual, but since its windows 7 starter I thought it needed a kick in the rear to get it goin. So i downloaded all the drivers for the PC using a different computer, and installed the different drivers to see which one would work. Well none of them worked, and now im sitting here scratching my head on what to do next. I have scoured the web and seen a few other people with issues like this.

Apr 4, 2012I have a projector on my network which has LAN connectivity for the purpose of emailing error messages (ie. lamp due to be changed). The connection path is as follows:Using cat5e, I've connected the projector to a 5-Port Linksys SD205 where there are other devices connected. The SD205 is connected to a 24-Port Zyxel via cat5e which is where all network devices meet.The projector is properly configured with IP information. I am unable to ping the projector through the network. The port to which it is connected gets a brief, intermittent flash. If I connect the projector directly to the Zyxel switch, I can ping it and access it via IE.I thought the same so I swapped it out with a 8-Port Linksys EZXS88W but still get the same results.Perhaps it is a quirk with Linksys, so I swap out the switch with a 3com and still the same results.Why would this device connect when directly connected to the ZyXEL but not when going through the Linksys SD205? What does the intermittent flashing light on the Linksys SD205 mean?
